Our philosophy is that if we can reduce our use in these areas, it will reduce the cost of doing business in Charlotte, resulting in the creation of greater economic development and environmental benefits... In 2011 Envision Charlotte started as a first-of-its-kind public-private collaboration between Duke Energy, Cisco, and Charlotte Center City Partners to make commercial buildings in Charlotte's urban core more energy efficient. Since that time, Envision Charlotte has evolved as a champion of circular and sustainability efforts and works on projects throughout the Charlotte area with a variety of partners from both the private and public sector... We believe environmental sustainability, when combined with a pro-business approach, benefits the regional economy and is achieved through perpetual, formal stewardship of defined resources in the environment across the four pillars that focus our efforts: Energy, Air, Water, and Waste.
