Asit K. Shah

Dr. Shah, part of Englewood Orthopedic Associates, is chief of orthopedic surgery, director of orthopedic implants, and a founding member of the Joint Replacement Center at Englewood Hospital. He is board certified in orthopedic surgery. His clinical interests include minimally invasive knee and hip replacement and complex revision knee and hip reconstruction. Dr. Shah received his MD, as well as a PhD in biochemistry and molecular biology, from Jefferson Medical College (now the Sidney Kimmel Medical College) of Thomas Jefferson University, in Philadelphia, where he also completed a National Institutes of Health molecular biology fellowship. He did his orthopedic surgery residency at the Mount Sinai Hospital, in Manhattan, and a hip and knee implant fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital, in Boston. Dr. Shah is a co-author of the book chapter on orthopedic geriatrics in a geriatric medicine and gerontology textbook and a co-author on numerous research publications in peer-reviewed journals. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, an oral examiner for the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, and a member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, and Eastern Orthopedic Association.

Dr. Carlin is chief of pediatric newborn medicine at Englewood Hospital. Board certified in neonatal-perinatal medicine, she specializes in providing medical and intensive care to newborn and premature infants. Dr. Carlin received her MD from Boston University School of Medicine and did her internship and residency in pediatrics at Boston City Hospital. At Englewood, Dr. Carlin has been a member of the medical executive committee, breastfeeding task force, ob/gyn committee, bylaws committee, and medical PPE. Her research has appeared in numerous peer-reviewed publications. Dr. Carlin is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and of the American Academy of Pediatrics-Section of Neonatal/Perinatal Medicine. She has particular interest in neonatal nutrition and blood management.

Gregg Lobel

Dr. Lobel is chief of anesthesiology at Englewood Hospital. He specializes in pediatric anesthesiology and oversees critical care medicine, the hyperbaric oxygen therapy program, and pain management. After receiving his MD from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, he completed an internal medicine internship at Maine Medical Center, an anesthesiology residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center and a pediatric anesthesiology fellowship at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago at Northwestern University. He is a past president of the medical staff at Englewood Hospital, treasurer of the New Jersey State Society of Anesthesiologists and a delegate to the American Society of Anesthesiologists. James McGinty

After receiving his MD from Drexel University School of Medicine, he did a surgical residency at Allegheny General Hospital and an advanced laparoscopic surgical fellowship at the Minimal Access Surgical Center at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center. He specializes in laparoscopic bariatric surgery, performing the full array of weight-loss procedures, including revisional and gastric bypass surgeries. He also performs advanced laparoscopic general surgery, including foregut procedures. Dr. McGinty is a member of the board of directors of the Association of Program Directors in Surgery. He is chied of neurosurgery at Englewood Hospital. His main clinical interests are the neurosurgical management of primary brain and spine tumors; metastatic brain and spine disease, as well as nonmalignant tumors of the brain and spine; degenerative spinal disc disease; and trigeminal neuralgia. He has expertise in complex brain and spine tumor surgery; spinal surgery for herniated discs and stenosis; endoscopic pituitary surgery; and Gamma KnifeĀ® radiosurgery. Dr. Yao received his MD from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He completed his neurosurgery residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City and then completed a neurosurgical oncology fellowship at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. Peter Shin

Peter Shin, MD, is chief of medicine and hospital medicine at Englewood Hospital. Dr. Shin is board certified in internal medicine and specializes in caring forhospitalized patients.
