Erin Brady joined our team in July 2021 as our Sr. HR Consultant/Recruiter. Erin provides general HR consulting to our clients and offering strategic advice on all human capital-related issues.

Ivana Sifuentes - VP

Ivana is a dynamic Human Resources Leader with more than 15 years of experience setting the human capital strategy for organizations in a range of industry sectors such as manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, engineered components, and consulting services. This experience includes overseeing multi-site and multi-state organizations and a niche practice with publicly traded foreign owned multi-nationals. In her last in-house role, Ivana built the Human Capital Program for the America's Headquarters of an Asian General Contractor of multi-billion dollar horizontal and vertical construction projects throughout the globe. Her leadership extends to developing Employment Branding & Talent-centered Recruitment, Selection & Retention processes, building Direct Compensation & Incentive Programs, identifying Payroll & Time Keeping Systems to support expansion plans, Request for Qualifications & Request for Proposals in the design and selection of Employee Benefit Plans, Policy Framework Development, Risk Management Strategies, including Workers' Comp Claims Reviews and Leaves of Absence Management. Ivana earned an M.B.A. at Argosy University, the coveted Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) designation from the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI) and her SHRM-SCP from the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM). She earned her Six-Sigma Champion certificate through Compagnie de Saint-Gobain, a 400-year old French multi-national. She speaks English, Spanish, and French. Ivana's involvement with prominent professional associations includes serving as Chair for PIHRA South Orange County (Irvine-Newport Beach) for the 2016 and 2017 terms. She has been on the Board of Directors of the Employment Roundtable of Southern California for the past three years and was recently elected as its Chair. She is an active supporter of several non-profit organizations serving Southern California including Working Wardrobes, Organizing for Action - Orange County, Orange County Congregation Community Organization, the Orange County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and Pas de Deux, a chapter of The Guilds supporting Segerstrom Center for the Arts devoted to raising scholarship funds for the William J. Gillespie Ballet School (American Ballet Theater's West Coast school). Ivana is a dynamic Human Resources Leader with 15 years of experience leading the human capital strategy for organizations in a range of industry sectors such as manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, engineered components, and consulting services.

Kelly Henry

Kelly joined the Ethos team as our Principal Consultant and has over 20 years of human capital experience in various industries, including technology, software, telecommunications, and healthcare. Her expertise includes talent management, policy creation, skills training, coaching, conflict resolution, legal compliance, compensation, and performance management. Kelly thrives on finding solutions to support business owners and employees to simplify and streamline HR processes. She has created COVID-19 prevention plans and conducted training to ensure our clients know how to comply with Cal/OSHA emergency temporary standards. Kelly earned her Bachelor of Science, Business Administration - Human Resources Management at California State University, Sacramento, and her Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) designation from the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI) and her SHRM-SCP certification from the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM). Kelly is a native of Southern California and currently resides in Orange County with her husband Greg. She is the mother of three sons and has two young grandchildren. She shares an office with her "co-worker" Macie, a wonderful black and white border collie. Kelly joined the Ethos team as our Senior Human Resources Consultant and has over 20 years of human capital experience in various industries, including technology, software, telecommunications, and healthcare.

Linda Duffy - Founder, President

Linda Duffy, Founder and President of Ethos Human Capital Solutions, has parlayed 30 years of executive human capital experience into a thriving business of recruiting, consulting, training, and organizational development. Known as "The People Problem Solver®," Ethos Human Capital Solutions develops strategies for business leaders to get the right people, systems, and culture in place to achieve their goals. Ethos' clients include high-tech businesses, manufacturing firms, non-profit organizations and sole practitioners, and it specializes in addressing the specific challenges of Founder/CEO-led and family-owned businesses. Linda is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), a SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), and a certified Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming. Her advanced coaching skills were honed during her volunteer work as a Senior Leader for Robbins Research International. Linda previously served on the Board of Directors for two non-profit organizations and one HR association, and she currently leads a business networking group that serves non-profit organizations. Linda earned a B.A. in Sociology and Political Science from Occidental College, and earned an M.B.A. from Webster University in 2012, where she is a member of the Delta Mu Delta honors society. Linda's human capital expertise is featured in the 2012 book, "Roadmap to Success: America's Top Intellectual Minds Map Out Successful Business Strategies," alongside co-authors Deepak Chopra and Ken Blanchard. Linda has a passion for travel, especially by cruise ship. If Linda isn't working with clients or on a cruise, she can be found attending, watching, or listening to games of her beloved Anaheim Ducks or Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. Angels' baseball is her first true love, and her goal is to see her team play in every MLB ballpark. She even named her Bichon King Louisville Slugger - "King Louie" for short. Linda has 20-years of executive-level experience with major corporations. Linda is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), a SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRMSCP).

Maria Varela Patrick

Maria joined the Ethos team as Principal Consultant with more than 20 years of human capital experience in various industries, including publishing, hospitality, property management, start-up businesses, consulting, and private coaching. She is passionate about talent development and mentoring for individual contributors, leaders, and executives and is experienced leading teams in all stages of mergers and acquisitions. Maria is bilingual in English/Spanish. She supports business owners in streamlining their HR processes, including recruiting, onboarding, and employee relations. She also ensures businesses comply with local, state, and federal laws, including California's COVID-19 prevention plan requirements. "We are excited about Maria joining the Ethos team," said Linda Duffy, President of Ethos. "She is certified in Everything DiSC® programs, as well as The Five Behaviors® solutions. She provides executive coaching, and she will work with our clients in all aspects of recruiting, training, and HR consulting." Maria earned her Bachelor of Arts, Psychology at California State University, Long Beach, and her Human Resources certificate at the University of California, Santa Cruz. Maria is an Orange County native and is close to her extended family and two daughters residing in Orange County. Her faithful work companion is Louie, her chihuahua. She is a self-proclaimed art festival junkie and is always searching for a new hiking trail to conquer or a new recipe for Cuban food.

Melissa Araya

Melissa Araya joined the Ethos team in April 2022 as a Recruiter. She has over ten years of full-cycle recruiting experience, six years of HR management, and healthcare regulatory compliance experience. She has recruited positions at all levels, from support staff to C-level positions. Melissa develops relationships with the hiring managers to understand the company, culture, and job requirements to help create a success plan and strategy to attract, hire, and onboard talent. Melissa lives in San Clemente, CA, with her partner and her two-year-old dog, Mika. You can find Melissa at the beach, camping, or crafting furniture when she is not working. She grew up watching her grandpa and father working in a wood shop and has carried on the woodworking tradition.

Nanette Trevino

Nanette joined the Ethos team in late 2021. She has more than ten years of experience as an in-house Human Resources Manager and was responsible for developing the new hire and onboarding processes, creating employee handbooks, recruiting, and payroll processing in her previous role. Nanette previously owned her own business, giving her a unique insight into the challenges business owners and HR managers face inside an organization. Nanette has experience with human resources information systems ("HRIS"), applicant tracking, and electronic onboarding. She works with our clients to create onboarding processes for new employees to ensure compliance with state and federal labor laws and processes payroll for clients. Her experience with Paylocity, Paycom, and Paychex payroll platforms, combined with her "engineering brain," helps her uncover and solve potential problems for our clients every day. Nanette received her Bachelor's Degree from Instituto Tecnológico de Ensenada in Industrial Engineering and is a member of the PIHRA (Professionals in Human Resources Association). Nanette grew up in Baja, Mexico, and has lived in Orange County for 15 years. She recently adopted a black Westiepoo named Jaxon, who is her constant companion. She enjoys playing sports when she can and inherited her love of baseball from her father, an avid fan of the San Diego Padres, especially Tony Gwynn. Nanette is bilingual in English and Spanish and is PHR certified.

Nicole Martinez

Nicole is an organized, detail-oriented project manager who joined Ethos in September 2020. She has gained progressive experience in Human Resources by managing employee onboarding and separations for in-house and remote talent. She ensures all documentation is compliant with state and federal requirements and has worked with clients on auditing Form I-9s. In her current role, she is creating operational processes for our team and clients to onboard new employees and ensure new hire documentation is completed correctly. She has experience with human resource information systems ("HRIS"), applicant tracking, and electronic onboarding, and her project management skills ensure our clients receive the management and support for their teams. She is also our Zendesk master, assisting the Ethos team and clients in managing requests for support. Nicole received her Bachelor's Degree in Human Development and Psychology at Cal State Long Beach and is a member of SHRM (Society of Human Resource Professionals) and PIHRA (Professionals in Human Resources Association). When she is not working on HR projects, she loves to spend time outside with her family and her dog Remy.

Sarai Gonzalez- Hicks

Tammy Stagner

Tammy Stagner is an SPHR and SHRM-SCP Certified Human Resources and Operations executive who joined the Ethos team in April as Principal Consultant. She has 25+ years of experience in HR and most recently worked as VP of Operations and Organizational Development for a transportation company in Southern California. She has successfully established an internal HR department and aligned the HR team to work with the company leaders to attract, train, and retain top talent. Her ability to manage multiple projects in a changing business landscape to improve operational efficiency gives her unique insight into a company's organization. Tammy's extensive experience allows her to support business owners at all stages of their company growth. Tammy has lived in the Huntington Beach area for the last 20 years near her extended family. She enjoys spending time with her sisters, nieces, nephews, and furry family members, Kona and Bo. She enjoys curling up to read a good suspense thriller, and a favorite author is Stephen King.

Yaneli Herrera

Yaneli Herrera joined the Ethos team in March as our new HR Specialist. In her role, she is focused on employee onboarding, off-boarding, and coordinating harassment training for our clients. Yaneli joins our team after spending over ten years in various positions with Volt Workforce Solutions. In her most recent role, she was the program coordinator for multiple national account clients, where she managed client requests, issues, data management, and billing discrepancies. Her accounts included medical, light industrial, and technology companies. Yaneli is a southern California native and enjoys spending time with her extended family and her beautiful Schnauzer, Toby. She enjoys being active, and hiking and spin class are two favorite activities. She also likes attending concerts and music festivals. Yaneli is bilingual in English/Spanish.
