Eric M. Steven is the principal at Steven Law Office in Spokane with a practice emphasis in the area of landlord-tenant relations and housing. He practices in both state and federal courts in all counties east of the Cascades in Washington and Northern Idaho. Mr. Steven litigates landlord/tenant cases involving eviction, ejectment, commercial litigation, fair housing claims, and a variety of other landlord-tenant issues. He is one of the few attorneys in Washington to actually defend a fair housing case in a federal court jury trial. Mr. Steven is acting counsel for numerous property owners, landlords, management companies, mobile home parks, subsidized housing providers, and the Spokane Housing Authority. He is active in legislative reform and was advisory counsel for the Washington Apartment Association (www.waapt.org) now Washington Rental Owner's Association. Mr. Steven is also affiliated with the Manufactured Housing Communities of Washington (MHCW) and Washington Multi-Family Housing Association (WMFHA). Mr. Steven received his B.A. degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1987 and his J.D. degree from Gonzaga University School of Law in 1990. Mr. Steven is a member of the Washington State, Idaho, Spokane County, Federal, and Eastern District of Washington Bankruptcy Bar Associations. He is the author of numerous CLE, landlord training manuals and industry articles. As a licensed Instructor in Real Estate, Mr. Steven frequently lectures to attorneys, property managers, law enforcement, and owners at continuing legal education programs. For the last several years, Mr. Steven has been an invited speaker at the "Trends" Conference in Seattle, Washington - the Northwest's largest rental housing management conference. As one of the most highly evaluated CLE instructors statewide in 2003, Mr. Steven was selected by the Washington State Bar Association to speak in the WSBA Encore "Best of CLE" series. Mr. Steven was an invited speaker at the Washington State Bar Association Real Property Section year-end meeting in 2012, the mid-year meeting in 2014 and again in 2016. For the last several years, Mr. Steven has been an invited speaker at the HUD/WSHRC Annual Spring Fair Housing Conference in Spokane, Washington. Michelle Myers

Michelle Myers is a former Paralegal for Steven Law Office, with approximately 13 years' experience in landlord/tenant matters. Mrs. Myers is now a duly licensed attorney in Washington State. Mrs. Myers is originally from Arizona, but is truly a Pacific Northwest girl at heart. She spent her early years in Spokane and relocated Nezperce, Idaho, where she attended high school. After high school, she moved onto college courses at North Idaho College, later transferring to Gonzaga University to complete her undergraduate studies in sociology and criminal justice. Mr. Steven was so impressed by Mrs. Myers abilities and work ethic that he agreed to sponsor her in the WSBA Rule 6 Law Clerk Program to transition from paralegal to lawyer. Mrs. Myers successfully completed the APR 6 Program, thereby earning the privilege to sit for the July, 2016 Washington State Uniform Bar Exam. She passed the WA bar on her first attempt, and started practicing immediately after her admission to the bar. Mrs. Myers joined Quiroga Law Offices in May, 2017 as an associate lawyer. She handled cases involving immigration, family law, elder law, landlord/tenant relations, and bankruptcy. Mrs. Myers returned to Steven Law Office in September, 2017. Today, Mrs. Myers is the Senior Associate Attorney at Steven Law Office. Mrs. Myers believes anything is possible if you are willing to go the extra mile to make it happen. Mr. Christopher Marsik

A former California native and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, Mr. Marsik has past experience interning for the Washington State Attorney General and the City of Spokane Prosecutor's Office.

Mr. Craig Wagner

Mr. Craig Wagner is a Litigation Associate Attorney. Mr. Wagner graduated with a degree in English from University of Nebraska at Lincoln and a Master's Degree in Education from Montana State University at Bozeman. While working in healthcare research, he attended Mitchell Hamline School of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota, graduating cum laude in 2021. Mr. Wagner interned with several judges in the Minnesota Office of Administrative Hearings. Mr. Wagner then interned with the Spokane County Public Defender's Officer before joining our team. For the last year and a half, Mr. Wagner has successfully litigated throughout Central and Eastern Washington.
