Exosenses are senses which are added to a person by technology. There are a number of technologies that can do this. A person could, as very common example, see in light outside that which the human eye does such as in night vision goggles. Exosenses are worn or become part of a person's body - they are really an extension of what it means to be human. Exosensory technology interfaces with the present nature senses of the person or directly with the brain (cochlear implants verge on this form)... So sensing is, among other possibilities, a physical detection of energy from radiation, detection of chemical signatures, detection of physical presence, detection of orientation of the body, orientation to a gravity field or orientation to a magnetic field. The sense of sight can be expanded to include all of the electromagnetic spectrum from gamma rays through light (really only a small band) to very low frequency radio waves.
