Eva Gevaert, who graduated from Design Academy Eindhoven in May 2009, is an analyst of materials. She is, with a craftsmanslike approach, always experimenting and questioning their abilities. By researching existing materials and techniques, such as porcelain and slipcasting, new ways of thinking, new ways of working and finally new products come into existance. Products that derive their right to exist because of the way they were made: by the love and understanding of the used materials and techniques. Gevaert sees through them and discovers what more they are capable of... The Intuïtiefabriek is an all female designstudio finding common ground in their intuitive way of working and their use of materials and techniques.
