Angelo G. Faraci

began practicing personal injury law at the start of his career in 1957 with one driving goal in mind: to help people. In 1968, Angelo formed what was then called Faraci Guadagnino with Joe Guadagnino, and the firm's partnership was originated. At the firm, Angelo focused on personal injury matters, and Joe handled the general practice. In 1975, Paul K. Lange entered the partnership after Angelo went head-to-head against Paul on a personal injury case and quickly recognized Paul's skill and shared commitment to clients. The firm then became known as Faraci Guadagnino and Lange.

Ann M. Steinmetz

Ann M. Steinmetz joined Faraci Lange in 2003 after a 12-year career in Critical Care Nursing. She spent her entire career focused on critically ill patients and their needs. Always a strong patient advocate, Ann believes that the transition to such a reputable and respected plaintiff firm is a natural extension of this advocacy. Ann is a 1991 graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Nursing. After graduating with a bachelor's degree in nursing, she spent nearly four years at the University of Virginia Medical Center, where she worked in the surgical intensive care unit, specializing in the care of trauma, general surgery, and liver transplant patients. She returned to the Rochester area in 1994 and worked at the University of Rochester Medical Center in the surgical intensive care unit before taking a position as a Liver Transplant Coordinator. Most recently, Ann spent eight years working in URMC's Burn/Trauma ICU, where she cared for trauma, neurosurgical, general surgery, vascular and burn patients before accepting the position at Faraci Lange. Ann has been integrally involved in product liability cases since joining Faraci Lange, LLP including the Vioxx litigation and the DePuy ASR Hip litigation. She has also assisted our attorneys in numerous highly complex medical malpractice cases including cases involving failure to diagnose and properly treat embolic stroke, a case involving the mismanagement of cervical spine trauma resulting in paralysis, cases involving inappropriate management of anticoagulants resulting in hemorrhage, several cases involving failure to diagnose and treat myocardial infarction, a case involving improper medical management of intrathecal pain pumps, a case involving failure to diagnose and treat thiamine deficiency, failure to diagnose and treat post-operative hemorrhage resulting in brain injury, a case involving delay in diagnosing infectious endocarditis, cases involving failure to diagnose and treat compartment syndrome and numerous others.

Brian Zorn

One of the firm's senior trial attorneys, Brian Zorn's personal injury practice includes medical malpractice, automobile accidents, products liability, and premises liability. He is in The Best Lawyers in America under the medical malpractice law, personal injury and product liability sections, and he was chosen by The Best Lawyers in America twice as the Medical Malpractice Lawyer of the Year in Rochester, N.Y. and twice as the Product Liability Litigation Lawyer of the Year in Rochester, N.Y. In addition, Martindale-Hubbell has awarded Brian its highest rating, and he has been selected as one of Upstate New York's Super Lawyers every year since 2007. Brian has been selected as a Best Lawyer in America in the areas of medical malpractice, personal injury litigation, and product liability litigation since 1995. Brian graduated from Syracuse University College of Law in 1977, and for the next year performed a judicial clerkship at the New York State Appellate Division for the Fourth Department. Since then, his personal injury practice has focused on individuals injured by medical malpractice, automobile accidents, defective products, and defective premises. To enhance his understanding of such injuries and their impact on the injured individual's life, he attended anatomy courses, including complete dissection of a human cadaver, as well as autopsies and surgeries done by medical school faculty. Brian has obtained numerous substantial personal injury recoveries that have helped injured individuals and their families cope with the impact of their injuries. Brian also served at the national level on numerous National Kidney Foundation committees, including the Affiliate Relations Committee (Chair for two years), the Efficiency and Effectiveness Task Force, the Subcommittee to Evaluate Affiliate Share, and the Task Force to Evaluate Performance Standards for Affiliates. The Federal District Court of the Western District of New York certified Brian as a Mediator in 2012 and he has successfully mediated several Federal Court cases since then.

Brooklyn Toland

Brooklyn welcomes clients and guest as they come through our doors as the first point of contact for our office. As administrative assistant, Brooklyn works closely with COO Katrina Connelly. She helps with all things relating to firm management including accounting and finance. She also manages our social media accounts and marketing. Brooklyn assists Kelsey Brigandi with administrative tasks such as answering phones, distributing mail and the firm's intakes. She helps the paralegals and legal assistants and assists with the electronic court filings for all attorneys. As a transplant to Rochester, Brooklyn graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science in May 2021. She was born and raised in Illinois. Prior to joining the firm, she worked as a Data Auditor at Eichelberger Farms for over a year. She also worked a summer at Carthage System during college in 2019.

Christine L. Norton joined Faraci Lange as a paralegal in 2016. She works directly with the managing partner John Falk and senior counsel Matthew Belanger. Having grown up in Sodus and Penn Yan, Christine graduated from SUNY Geneseo with a major in Political Science and a minor in Sociology. She first began working as a paralegal in 1991 for Hirsch & Tubiolo, P.C. She then transferred to Phillips Lytle, LLP in 1998 and worked in the litigation department. In her free time, Christine teaches a youth karate class and self-defense for women. She is a black belt and has competed, and placed, in international competitions. Henry works closely with all attorneys and staff to manage special projects in complex cases. He also coordinates the retrieval of medical records for clients. Henry began his career with Washington Mutual Bank in 2003 as a Special Products Group Member, building and maintaining trusted relationships with his clients. In 2005, he took on a role within the Management Resolution Group. In 2008, Henry transferred to Chase Bank in Rochester, NY working as a mortgage underwriter subsequently transferring to the Quality Review department in 2011 where he worked until June of 2015. In 2016, Henry joined Faraci Lange as the Medical Records Coordinator and went on to expand his role in assisting attorneys in complex litigation projects. Jennifer L. Fay

Jenny Fay litigates cases involving medical malpractice and wrongful death claims. She graduated from SUNY Buffalo Law School in 2007. Jenny has helped injured plaintiffs in medical malpractice and wrongful death claims since she was admitted to practice law in 2008. She has experience in all phases of civil litigation, including trial practice in state courts and appellate advocacy. Jenny was selected as a member of 2020's Legal Elite of Western New York by Business First and the Buffalo Law Journal. She was been selected as an Upstate New York Super Lawyer since 2019 and also as a Super Lawyers' Rising Star from 2015 to 2018. Jennifer was named the Best Lawyer in America in 2023 in personal injury litigation. Joseph A. Regan is a graduate of St. John Fisher University and the Cornell University Law School and has been with the firm since 1978. Josh Mankoff earned his Juris Doctorate, magna cum laude, from Temple University Beasley School of Law, in 2009. While obtaining his law degree, Mr. Mankoff spent a summer clerking for the Honorable Dolores K. Sloviter on the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. He also spent a year in Africa, first interning on the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda, in Arusha, Tanzania (which tried the masterminds of the 1994 genocide) and later observing the local gacaca proceedings in Rwanda (which tried up to one million low-level perpetrators). Back at Temple, Mr. Mankoff won a Philadelphia-wide legal writing competition, qualified for the finals in the Temple Moot Court competition and served on the Temple Law Review. Before law school, Mr. Mankoff graduated cum laude from Williams College with a double major in Computer Science and Psychology. He then worked as a software engineer for a startup company that provides search and guided navigation to over 250 million end-users, including the web site for the United States Census, hundreds of online stores, the Library of Congress, and the Department of Defense. Despite the exciting opportunities in software, Mr. Mankoff ultimately decided that his true passion was in the practice of law. This prior software experience, however, is indispensable in managing and organizing information generated in mass-tort litigation, where a single mass tort can involve 40 million of pages of documents, hundreds of witnesses, and half a million lines of testimony. Kathryn Lee Bruns

Kathryn Lee Bruns has been with Faraci Lange since 2007 and focuses her practice on appellate advocacy and personal injury litigation, including wrongful death, product liability, medical malpractice, automobile negligence, and vaccine injury. Katie has worked to obtain substantial recoveries on behalf of the firm's clients who have been severely injured due to the negligence and wrongful conduct of others. In her role as Chief Operating Officer at Faraci Lange, Katrina L. Connelly oversees all administrative and business-related operations of the firm for both the Rochester and Buffalo offices. She is responsible for the accounting, finance, internal controls, personnel administration, technology, marketing, facilities, and general services and assists the Managing Partner and Partnership with the firm's strategic plan and direction. Katrina earned her Bachelor's Degree in Advertising and Marketing Communications from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City in 2007 and graduated with a Master's Degree in Business Administration from the Simon School of Business at the University of Rochester in June of 2013. Before moving back to Rochester and joining Faraci Lange in 2010, Katrina lived and worked in Manhattan at 4Kids Entertainment - a licensing agency devoted to the creation, development, production, broadcasting, distribution, and manufacturing of children's entertainment products. In her role as Brand Manager, she oversaw the day-to-day marketing & licensing activities on popular kids' brands such as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and Monster Jam. In addition to her role at Faraci Lange, Katrina is a member of the Western and Central New York Chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators and served as Board President from 2016-2019. Katrina has been a member of the YWCA's Empowering Women Luncheon Committee since 2022 and will be the Event Chair for the 2024 luncheon. Kristin A. Merrick

Prior to joining Faraci Lange, Kristin was an Assistant District Attorney for Monroe County where she independently conducted over thirty jury trials and hundreds of bench trials, hearings, and motion arguments. She received her B.A., cum laude, from the State University of New York College at Geneseo and received her J.D. from Syracuse University College of Law. Kristin currently serves as the Chair of the Monroe County Bar Association's Lawyers for Learning Committee. She has been a member of the Lawyers for Learning committee for the past seven years and meets and mentors students weekly at Adlai E. Stevenson School No. 29. Leigh joined Faraci Lange as a legal assistant in February 2016. She works closely with managing partner John Falk, partner Kristin Merrick as well as senior counsel Matthew F. Belanger, to assist them in various types of personal injury cases. Leigh graduated from Monroe Community College with an Associates' degree in Legal Administration. She started her career at the Monroe County Bar Association, which was also located in the First Federal building at the time. There, she had various responsibilities such as managing the Lawyer Referral Service and the Lawyer in the Classroom program. Following her time at the MCBA, Leigh spent 27 years with Home Properties as the executive assistant to the company's general counsel. There, she worked closely with the company's investors, the board of directors, and was responsible for SEC filings. Having grown up in Webster, Leigh is a Rochester native. Lesley E. Niebel

Lesley was born and raised in Fredonia, New York. She went to the State University of New York College at Geneseo where she obtained a bachelor's degree in English and Economics. Lesley then graduated from the Syracuse University College of Law with her Juris Doctor. Following law school, Lesley started at Faraci Lange and has spent her career with the firm. She is admitted to practice in state and federal court in New York and state court in Massachusetts. Lesley is an active member of the legal community. She currently serves as Chair of the Monroe County Bar Association's Ethics Committee and is a past Chair of the MCBA Young Lawyers Section (2021-2022), as well as the past Young Lawyers Section's Treasurer (2020-2021), Secretary (2019-2020), co-chair of the community service committee (2018-2019), and co-chair of the nominations committee (2017-2018). Matthew F. Belanger - Chief Legal Officer

Matthew F. Belanger focuses his legal practice on personal injury litigation, including product liability, motor vehicle negligence, toxic tort, vaccine claims, and medical malpractice cases. He joined Faraci Lange in 1990 serving as a Partner from 1998-2023. In 2024, Matt transitioned to the role of Senior Counsel. He has handled all types of complex personal injury litigation in both state and federal courts. During his studies at Northeastern University School of Law, he worked for a number of Massachusetts law firms specializing in plaintiff's civil litigation. Matt has lectured on a range of litigation topics at continuing legal education programs, including on the serious injury threshold in motor vehicle cases and several programs on liens and rights of subrogation in personal injury cases. Matt has the highest peer review rating with the prestigious Martindale Hubble and has been selected by his peers for inclusion in Best Lawyers in America in the areas of personal injury law and product liability litigation every year since 2008. He has also been selected as one of Upstate New York's Super Lawyers in the area of personal injury litigation every year since 2010. Patricia A. Grimaldi joined Faraci Lange's Buffalo office in February of 2012 and supports partner Jennifer Fay. Prior to joining Faraci Lange, Patty worked as a legal assistant/paralegal at the law firm of Rosenthal, Siegel & Muenkel. She has worked in the legal industry for over 25 years as a legal assistant/paralegal primarily in the areas of litigation. Patty is a native of the Buffalo area. Stephen has been a partner at FaraciLange,LLP since 1988 and served as managing partner from 1995-2023. He is also a past president of the Rochester Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates and has served on the Boards of the Monroe County Bar Association and Monroe County Bar Foundation. Stephen recently co-authored a book with David Savitz, Ph.D. entitled Epidemiology and the Law published by Juris Publishing. He has published numerous articles in the Journal of the American College of Trial Lawyers including Artificial Intelligence/Superficial Lawyering, which chronicled the disastrous results for two lawyers who relied upon ChatGPT to write their brief in federal court, published in the June 2023 edition of the ACTL Journal. He has published numerous additional articles in other legal publications such as the New York Bar Journal and Trial Magazine. Stephen has served as President of the Board of the Family Resource Centers of Rochester, and on the United Way Campaign Cabinet. He currently serves as Co-Chair of the Board of Starbridge Services, Inc., an organization that partners with individuals who have disabilities. Teagan C. Dolan focuses her practice on personal injury litigation including toxic tort and environmental contamination cases, product liability, and medical malpractice. She received her B.S., cum laude, from the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry (SUNY-ESF) and her J.D. from Albany Law School. During law school she served as the Executive Director of the Moot Court Program, where she was awarded the Capital District Trial Lawyers Association Prize twice, the Robert Barker award, and was selected for the Order of Barristers. Prior to law school, Teagan built a career in the environmental sector where she did everything from monitoring water quality to calculating toxic air emissions.
