Major General Abid Rafique (Retd) was commissioned in Pakistan Army in September 1984. During his 35 years' service, he served on various command, staff and instructional appointments. He has a unique distinction of serving in an Artillery Regiment, Infantry Regiment and Special Services Group of Pakistan Army. Other important assignments during his military service include command of Special Services Group, raising / operationalization of Special Security Division for China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) as General Officer Commanding and Director General Infantry, General Headquarters, Rawalpindi. He has also been on the faculty of premier institution like Pakistan Military Academy, Kakul and National Defence University, Islamabad. He also has the experience of operating under United Nation as a Military Observer and member of Pakistan Contingent in United Nations Mission in Sierra Leone (UNMSIL).
He is a graduate of Command and Staff College Quetta, Armed Forces War College and US Marine War College- MCU, Quantico, Virginia, USA. He holds Masters' Degrees in Strategic Studies, and War Studies.
With a diverse background and exposure at strategic and executive levels, he has developed strong analytical, management and operational skill- set with ability to handle strategic management and corporate governance. In recognition of his meritorious service, he has been awarded with Hilal-e -Imtiaz (Military) in 2015.
Presently, he is serving as Director Human Resource and Services and member of Central Board of Directors at Fauji Foundation Head Office since January 2020. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of:

Waqar Ahmed Malik Mr. Waqar Ahmed Malik is a Senior Corporate Leader with over 35 + years of Pakistan & Global Cooperate sector experience. Dedicated to Promoting Business and investment, he is widely respected in Government, Business, Army and social circles of Pakistan. Mr. Malik is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and is also an alumnus of the Harvard Business School and INSEAD. Earlier, his career with The ICI Plc Group based in the UK spanned over 27 years and then later with Akzo Nobel N.V. based in the Netherlands. For nearly 10 years, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of ICI Pakistan Limited and also the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Lotte Pakistan Limited (formerly Pakistan PTA Limited). During his career with ICI and AkzoNobel, he worked in Europe and America in Corporate Finance and Strategy. His arrival commence a true story around growth at Fauji Foundation adding US $ 1 Billion to its bottom line.it is also the Largest Contributor of duties and Taxes to the National Ex- Chequer. He is also Chairman of Pakistan Oxygen Limited (formally Linde Pakistan, a subsidiary of Linde AG) acquired by Adira Capital Holdings (Private) that he cofounded. He also serves in Jazz Pakistan (VION).

Mr. Malik is also a member of the visiting faculty of Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance, Former Member of Board of Governors of Lahore University of Management Science (LUMS) and Former Member of Board of Indus Valley School of Arts. He participates actively in social and philanthropic activities through I-Care Foundation, as a Trustee, he contributes to improve the quality of life of underprivileged by enhancing the level of philanthropic support. A trustee of Duke of Edinburgh Trust Pakistan, he was awarded Prince of Wales Medal as a Trustee of the Prince of Wales Pakistan Recovery for the Flood Victims in 2010.
Mr.Waqar Ahmed Malik joined Fauji Foundation as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer on 9th April 2020.
