Jennifer Swerdlick

Jennifer Swerdlick, has been involved in the auction industry for more than two decades. She specializes in the sale of special use and general commercial real estate both by auction and traditional sale as well as being a leasing expert. Swedlick wears many hats quite successfully. In addition to her brokerage and real estate auction expertise, she is also a co-owner of Restaurant Equipment Paradise, a company that specializes in the sale of new and used food industry equipment as well as restaurant design throughout New England. Swerdlick is an active member of the National Association of Auctioneers, Massachusetts Auctioneers Association, National Association of Realtors®, and the Connecticut Association of Realtors®. She is a licensed professional auctioneer in Massachusetts.

Paul Galanis

Paul Galanis has thirty-three years of experience as a skilled real estate professional with experience in the disposition of commercial and residential real estate, portfolio sales, auctions, financial services, banking, and entrepreneurship. For over 18 years, Mr. Galanis has been involved in the sale at auction of over a billion dollars in real estate. He has structured and executed auction programs for almost every class of real estate including industrial, commercial, retail, hotels, churches, condominium developments, multi-family buildings, luxury estates, mineral right, golf courses, parking garages, development land, timber, bankruptcy, and foreclosure sales. Prior to joining Fine and Company, Mr. Galanis was Managing Director and leader of CBRE's Auction Services practice for the Americas. While there he developed the auction services division's practices, policies and procedures including developing the online auction platform. During his tenure, he was responsible for the national execution and sale of hundreds of millions of dollars of real estate at auction across the United States. For nearly a decade, Mr. Galanis was a partner and Senior Vice President at the national real estate firm of Sheldon Good & Company, which at the time was the preeminent real estate auction firm in the United States. Here he oversaw the execution of the auction process and played an integral role in the auction sale of over a thousand properties, utilizing single and multiple property auction formats. Earlier in his career, Mr. Galanis was in commercial banking, managing national loan portfolios, workout portfolios, and originated millions in new commercial real estate loans. Licensed as a real estate broker and auctioneer, he has managed auctions in 39 states and across the Caribbean and in the South Pacific. He is a graduate of the Reppert School of Auctioneering, and serves on the advisory board of an online auction school providing continuing education. The National Auctioneers Association has confirmed him as an Accredited Auctioneer of Real Estate (AARE). Less than two percent of all auctioneers in the United States have earned this prestigious accreditation. He is also a member of the National Auctioneers Association and the National Association of Realtors®, Illinois Association of Realtors®, and the Chicago Association of Realtors®. Mr. Galanis actively provides his services as a guest auctioneer to various charities and civic organizations.

Scott Ellman

Mr. Ellman's mission is to evangelize the unique and timely benefits of the Fine & Company accelerated sales method throughout the commercial real estate community. He holds an MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business and a ScB in applied mathematics and economics from Brown University and is a licensed California real estate broker. Scott Ellman is executive managing director to Fine & Company. As a seasoned Silicon Valley marketing executive as well as a real estate auction industry veteran, Mr. Ellman brings a multi-faceted perspective to the company's mission of optimizing client outcomes through intelligent application of the auction method. After graduating magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Brown University with a bachelor of science degree in applied mathematics and economics, Mr. Ellman spent eight years at a leading national real estate auction firm in business development and operations, selling commercial and luxury residential properties on behalf of a wide variety of institutional and private clients. He managed auction programs that generated hundreds of millions of dollars in closings; spearheaded the industry's first nationwide multi-property offering; and marketed a wide range of real estate assets at auction, from a fully functional university campus to a landmark office tower in Chicago. After completing his master of business administration at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business, Mr. Ellman entered the world of high technology as a marketing professional and assumed a series of managerial and executive positions at some of Silicon Valley's most dynamic enterprise software and hardware companies. Among his accomplishments in the high tech sector, he was responsible for marketing advanced visualization systems to many of the world's most demanding customers, including media conglomerates, automobile and aircraft manufacturers, biotech companies, and national governments worldwide; co-founded and headed up marketing at an Internet start-up; and served as a marketing executive at a pioneering "cloud computing" infrastructure provider both before and after the company's initial public offering. Through his independent marketing consultancy, Mr. Ellman has focused on solving a wide range of marketing challenges faced by start-ups, established businesses and governmental entities, both in and out of high technology. Part of his practice is dedicated to helping Asian companies enter and thrive in US markets, a focus that has afforded him a network of business, financial and personal contacts throughout the region as well as a deep understanding of key Asian business cultures. Whether in high technology or real estate, Mr. Ellman believes that marketing is a two-step process: accurately identify the client's problem, then design and implement a solution that is optimal in terms of outcome, time and cost.
