Daniel has significant experience in advising clients' corporate portfolios and optimizing multi-jurisdictional legal projects. His mission is to enhance clients' leverage in complex multi-stakeholder deals through the power of FLI's business model. He has also supervised the development and roll-out of FLI's LegalTech Apps/PWAs, including FlightOne and FLInstitute in order to retain counsel in various jurisdictions, as well as promoting client co-creation and corporate compliance. These elements may include, but are not limited to: M&A, Entry/Expansions/Restructurings, VC/CVC/PE/Family Offices and Wealth Management, Compliance & Investigations, FDI, Import/Export Trade Regulations, Tax, Corporate Governance, and more.
Daniel regularly provides insights on industry trends, economic and legislative opportunities and threats, as well as strategic avenues for FLI accounts in conjunction with its subject-matter experts.

With a strong focus on and passion for security and usability, David has a proven track record for creating and managing applications that stand the test of time, and drastically improve both the customer experiences, and business processes for corporations of all sizes.
Dr. Volker Schmits LL.M. assists media houses, broadcasters, content producers and investors in all legal questions relating to strategic and operational aspects. He participated in many media M&A transactions. In particular, Volker acquired in-depth knowledge of technical infrastructure projects combining media- and cyber/telecommunications law (including data protection considerations).
In his role as an Executive Industry Advisory at First Law International, Volker brings in his stellar corporate and entrepreneurial background. Before founding his own law firm SCHMITSPARTNERS, Volker was a partner at Amereller for fourteen years and the media firm SWK Schwarz for two years.

Lora Mays brings 30 years of uniquely diverse experience to FLI. She spent the first third of her career in private practice, the second third as in-house counsel for a Fortune 500 international oil & gas company and the most recent third serving as in-house counsel for a fast paced, privately held, international oil & gas exploration company. After leaving private practice (litigation and commercial transactions), Lora joined Anadarko Petroleum Corporation's in-house team as a Contract Attorney. She then accepted a position in Denver as Chief Administration Officer and General Counsel for Aspect Holdings LLC.
Ms. Mays is a small business owner, an investor and serves as a Director in two Boards.

Marisa began her career as a lawyer in Criminal and Civil Law in 1994, co-founding the G&M Law Firm in Barcelona. She was also a Public Defender at the Illustrious Bar Association of Sabadell in Criminal Law and Juvenile Criminal Law. In 1999 she began her career in Commercial Law. After residing for a few years in London, where she specialized in International Commercial Law and Competition Law, she coordinated the Commercial Department of the M&S Law Firm in Barcelona and was Head of the Commercial Department of EMB Lawyers, both based in Barcelona.
In 2013 she founded the Firm VARIS ADVOCATS, in Barcelona. Marisa joined FLI in June 2013 and is responsible for the Spanish and LATAM market. Her role involves project management, communications, public relations, client and business development. Her role also covers international strategy and market research. She is a published author in Spanish Legal Mahazine, Abogacía & Empresa, where she bylined the article European Competition Law versus Non-Collusive Oligopolies.
