Dr. Mark Myerson

Dr. Myerson is recognized as one of the foremost orthopedic surgeons in the world and has had the opportunity to train hundreds of surgeons worldwide. In Orthopedics Today, April 2014, Dr. Myerson was recognized as a pioneer in Orthopedic Surgery in the United States "That which I hold most dear is my contribution to education. I feel blessed to have been exposed to a multitude of talented surgeons from the United States and abroad, and education and humanitarian work have always been a priority. My interactions with hundreds of orthopedic surgeons during the years have filled me with a pride and purpose and I am honored to have trained surgeons who are now leaders in the field". Dr. Mark Myerson is the Medical Director of Steps2Walk, a global humanitarian organization which delivers foot and ankle care to underprivileged regions of the world. An internationally recognized leader in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, he was Past President of the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society. He is a consultant to the orthopedic industry, an honorary member of numerous international orthopedic societies and plays an active role in defining national standards for orthopedic foot and ankle practice. Dr. Myerson has authored more than 300 research publications as well as six text books covering various treatments of foot and ankle conditions, and is a frequently invited guest speaker, giving professional talks around the globe as consultant and educator. Dr Myerson travels frequently around the world as part of humanitarian programs for underprivileged and disabled citizens Our team works tirelessly developing programs that result in meaningful change. Michael J. Coughlin

Michael J. Coughlin currently practices in Boise, Idaho where he has served as Chief of Orthopaedics at St.Alphonsus Regional Medical Center and is past President of the Idaho Orthopaedic Society. He is also a Clinical Professor of Surgery, Department of Orthopaedics, University of California San Francisco. He has published over 200 scientific articles. Dr. Coughlin is the author and co-editor of two textbooks on foot and ankle surgery, Surgery of the Foot and Ankle 9th edition, and The Video Textbook of Foot an Ankle Surgery. Dr. Coughlin was the youngest President of the American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society in 1990 and was President of the International Federation of Foot & Ankle Surgeons from 2002-2005. Michael J. Coughlin, M.D. received his medical degree from Oregon Health Sciences University and his orthopaedic training at the University of California, San Francisco.

Robert B. Anderson

Job Titles:
  • Surgeon of the O.L. Miller Foot
The founding orthopaedic surgeon of the O.L. Miller Foot and Ankle Institute of OrthoCarolina in Charlotte, North Carolina, practicing there since 1989. In 2017 he joined the Titletown Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Clinic in Green Bay. Fellowship trained in foot and ankle disorders (Dr John Gould, Milwaukee WI '88) with a large experience in sport related injuries. Served as a team orthopaedist to the Carolina Panthers from 2000-2017 and now an associate team physician to the Green Bay Packers. Has served as the chairman of the Foot and Ankle Subcommittee for the NFL since 2003. Recently named the co-chair of the NFL's Musculoskeletal Committee, overseeing all orthopaedic injuries and research in professional football. Is an active consultant to a number of NFL/NBA/NHL/MLB teams and colleges. Co-founder of the OrthoCarolina Foot and Ankle Fellowship program. Chief of the Foot and Ankle Service at Carolinas Medical Center from 1989-2015, and past Vice-chief of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at that institution. He is a Past President of the Medical Staff of Carolinas Medical Center and it's >1700 physician members. Anderson is also a past-president of the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society. Co-editor of the 9th edition of Mann's: Surgery of the Foot and Ankle; former Editor-in-Chief of the journal, Techniques in Foot and Ankle Surgery; associate editor/reviewer for JBJS, JAAOS, FAI, AJSM and numerous other peer-review publications and author/editor of numerous chapters and manuscripts. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and attended the University of Mississippi where he was inducted into their Hall of Fame. He completed his medical degree at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He is married to Jean, and has three sons. Hobbies include lawn care, golf and boating/snowshoeing at his lake home in his native state.
