Flasher Equipment Company was founded by Frank Gruen in 1956. Herbert Gruen, Frank's son, joined the company in 1960. He was a forward thinker and visionary. Through the years, Herbie was instrumental in bringing innovation after innovation in the pavement marking and traffic control business to the City and State as well as lobbying in Washington DC for the Federal Highway Bill. A focus on the safety of drivers and road construction employees are top priority. In 2015, Herbie was awarded the ATSSA Industry Achievement Award for his significant achievements and contributions to ATSSA and the Roadway Safety Industry...
