Cheryl is a Senior Administrative Assistant in the Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution Department. She has over twenty years' experience in all areas of civil practice but has a passion for litigation. As the most senior staff member in the Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution Department, she has general administrative oversight of the firm's non-contentious and contentious portfolios and provides training to administrative staff. She prepares draft legal documents in general contract and banking matters and has intimate knowledge of all files under her portfolio. She liaises with banks, registries and ensures the timely attendance to, filing and service of all litigation matters. Cheryl is a certified paralegal. Cleopatra V.S. McDonald

Cleopatra is a Senior Associate in the Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution Department. She primarily handles corporate, insolvency, banking and insurance litigation and advice, commercial agreements and conveyancing matters. She displays the intellectual vigour and diligence worthy of any firm of high pedigree, is unfailingly responsive and works well under pressure. She is a calm and measured advocate at the Bar. Cleopatra comes to the practice with a strong background in international trade and investment law. Prior to her Call to the Bar, she enjoyed a twelve-year career in international trade negotiations and policy consultancy in the Caribbean, Europe and Africa. Most notably, she worked as a trade consultant for, and represented East and Southern Africa Governments in negotiations with the European Union in the areas of market access, services, intellectual property and competition. She has published on topics related to economic law and commercial opportunity.

Danielia S. Chambers

Danielia Chambers is an Associate in the Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution Department where she, amongst other things, undertakes the recovery of substantial debts for the several banks and other financial institutions the firm represents; attends to the settlement of property and commercial disputes; and provide assistance with personal injury claims brought against our corporate clients or to be brought on behalf of our individual clients. Danielia also advises corporate clients on Saint Lucia's employment law; attends to the settlement of employment disputes; and assists clients with matrimonial matters. Danielia adopts a holistic approach to civil legal practice and is willing to assist clients as best as possible. Prior to moving to Saint Lucia, Danielia completed a stint as a Legal Officer for the Financial Services Commission in Jamaica where she was charged with ensuring that the country's pension plans and retirement schemes were compliant with regulatory requirements.

Diana M. Thomas

Diana, a senior partner in the firm, has been a lawyer for nineteen years. She has a depth of knowledge and vast experience in many areas of practice. Diana is ranked in Chambers and Partners 2020 Global Guide where she is described as an "extremely experienced and well-regarded litigator" with an "extensive knowledge of the civil code." She is noted in particular for her work with financial institutions and banks, and sources consider her a "brilliant lawyer" who they are "very impressed" with. A co-head of the Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution Department, she has successfully represented clients at all levels of the Court including the Privy Council and settled matters at mediations or negotiations in Saint Lucia, in other Caribbean islands and in the United States. She has developed and maintained legal relationships with large corporations in Saint Lucia across several industries including utility providers, hotels, car dealerships, banks, insurance companies, quasi government bodies, and of course the so important individual citizen. Diana advises extensively on commercial, banking and finance matters, probate and administration, employment and labour disputes, and regularly represents receivers and liquidators in insolvency matters. She has been appointed to act as liquidator of a local company by the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court. With a special interest in the law of trusts, she has unparalleled expertise in the area. She trained with the late Hilford Deterville, Q.C., first as an Associate Attorney at Caribbean Law Offices and subsequently re-joined him as a Partner at Deterville, Thomas & Co., after an eight-year stint at Peter I. Foster & Associates. Diana maintains a pro-bono practice and is a registered provider with the Legal Aid Authority. She also recently served as Acting Master of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court.

Ellen Antoine - COO

Ellen is the firm's Practice Manager and is responsible, under the direction of the Partners, for all management and operational matters. She attends to the development of business plans and strategies, implementation and monitoring of internal processes and policies, compliance, systems management, standard setting and financial matters such as collection, budgeting, financial controls, payroll, and client trust accounts. She manages the professional and support staff, providing leadership, mentorship, guidance and training. Ellen's diverse educational background and experience affords her a breadth and depth of understanding across multi-disciplinary areas and the ability to critically review people and processes for improved standards and efficiencies, making her a valuable resource person and a strategic addition to the firm's team. Geoffrey A. DuBoulay

Geoffrey, a senior partner in the firm, has been a lawyer for twenty years. Michael A. DuBoulay

Michael DuBoulay is a partner in the firm and manages the day-to-day operations of the Property and Corporate Departments. Over his 10-year career in legal practice in Saint Lucia, Michael has distinguished himself as an astute and business-minded commercial, corporate and property practitioner. He prides himself on being methodical, meticulous and having a keen eye for detail. Michael spent the first six years of his legal career in litigation where he gained substantial experience in matters involving banking, debt collection, construction, personal injury and other general civil and commercial matters. It was during this time that he also assumed conduct of the corporate secretarial portfolio and advised clients on such matters as corporate structures and governance, share and asset sale and purchases, licencing and regulatory issues. In January 2017, Michael transitioned from litigation to a more specialised role in Property where he has represented an assortment of clients in real estate and other financing transactions. Sardia is a partner in the firm and is a co-head of the Litigation Department. She has over 14 years' experience in civil law practice in Saint Lucia. Sardia regularly advises on banking and commercial matters. She has experience in conveyancing and has worked with other team members on several mergers and acquisitions and on complex cross-border financing transactions. Sardia also routinely advises clients on insolvency matters and has acted as a receiver-manager and liquidator. In 2020, she completed the LL.M Course (audited) in Advanced Corporate Insolvency Law with the University of the West Indies. Prior to joining the firm, Sardia worked at the Commonwealth Secretariat in London where she advised small states on the implementation of environment conventions. Upon her return to Saint Lucia, she was employed as a Judicial Research Assistant at the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court and enjoyed a stint as Acting Executive Legal Assistant to the Chief Justice. Sardia maintains an interest in environmental matters and routinely volunteers her time to support the work of local environment agencies.
