Areej Khreeis has more than twelve years of experience with International organizations in the MENA region, mainly, Democracy and Political Participation programs. She's experienced in designing programs, material development, capacity building, reporting, monitoring and evaluation and learning.Areej is an expert trainer of political campaigns, advocacy and grassroots initiatives, debates, digital storytelling, gender, and media. she has provided consultations and support in different capacities in multiple organizations and countries.

Dan Cullin is the Program Assistant for Transatlantic Dialogue. He graduated from the George Washington University Elliott School of International Affairs with a B.A. in International Affairs concentrating on the Middle East and minoring in German. A native Pennsylvanian, Dan is a 2018-2019 alumni of the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange (CBYX) Program, where he lived in Pforzheim, Baden-Württemberg. In addition to his native English, Dan speaks German and Arabic.

Dina joined FNF as an Internal Auditor in May of 2010. Her primary focus is conducting financial and operational audits on projects at Friedrich Naumann Foundation.
Dina began her career as an auditor at Caritas Internationale, a development and social service organization operating in over 200 countries and territories worldwide. Collectively and individually, their missions are to work to build a better world, especially for the poor and oppressed.
Her prior experience includes a variety of accounting and auditing assignments on not profitable Projects.
She holds a B.S. in Accounting from Ain-Shams University "French Section", as she got graduated from Notre Dame, French Catholic school.
She enjoys auditing as a whole, however; the main reason that She enjoys auditing is that it's the perfect job for an analytical, organized person such as herself. She loves knowing that She can make an impact on the foundation financially and organizationally.

Dr. Carsten Klein's professional career has always had an international dimension. He started working with the German Armed Forces joining the foreign and security policy section of the parliamentary group of the Free Democratic Party (FDP) in the Bundestag, the German parliament in Berlin, followed by him managing the FDP parliamentary groups in two state assemblies. He was also managing the department responsible for the international business of the Federal Employment Agency, the Central Placement Office for Foreigners and Specialists (ZAV).
His wife Elisabeth and children Frederick and Marketta live also with him at the headquarters of our regional office, in New Delhi. Dr Klein is looking forward to working together with the many cooperation partners of our foundation to advance our common, liberal ideas, visions and concrete projects in one of the most dynamic regions of the world.

Dr. Nele Fabian manages all projects related to the economy, innovation, and sustainability, EU-Chinese relations, as well as EU-UK relations. Her academic background is in Political Science and Chinese Studies. She holds a PhD in Modern Chinese Environmental History from Ruhr University Bochum, Germany, where she focused on waste management solutions, environmental policy and public governance in China. Before joining FNF, Ms Fabian worked as an editorial manager and developmental editor in interdisciplinary academic publishing, equally with a focus on the environment. Besides her native language German, she speaks English, French, Mandarin Chinese, Hungarian, and beginner's Japanese.

Frederic has been living in Asia since 2012 and worked as a reporter covering the region's profound economic and societal changes. In 2019, he joined the Foundation as Project Director for Thailand and Myanmar. In 2023, he assumed the role of Project Director in Seoul, overseeing the foundation's work in South and North Korea.
Frederic graduated from the Cologne School of Journalism and holds a Master's degree in Political Science from the University of Cologne.

Haytham is a professional with extensive experience in the field of communication and graphic design. Holding a Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, he leverages his technical background to bring a unique perspective to his work. Haytham's journey with FNF Jordan began in 2017, where he participated in one of the organization's programs and quickly displayed his exceptional skills in communication, marketing, and event planning. After two years as a Communication Officer, Haytham was promoted to the role of Regional Head of Communication and Social Media (MENA), where he is responsible for developing and executing strategic communication plans, managing social media presence, and overseeing events and campaigns. With expertise in brand management, stakeholder engagement, and digital marketing.

Isabel has gained valuable professional experience in various fields prior to this role. Until recently, she demonstrated her organisational skills as Project Manager at a London-based international company specialising in web solutions. In previous roles, she had the privilege of serving as Office Manager for the spokesperson of the FDP parliamentary group for domestic policy in North Rhine-Westphalia as well as Research Assistant at the research institute "Safety and Violence Initiative" in South Africa
In 2017, she obtained her master´s degree in International Relations from the University of Cape Town. Prior to this, she received her bachelor´s degree in European Studies from Maastricht University in 2014.

Jörg holds a Master's degree in Political Science and History from Münster University. He started working for FNF in June 1993 at the Theodor Heuss Academy as Head of the departments of "Liberalism". He is the founding Director of the International Academy for Leadership, he directed from 1995 onwards until he moved to Istanbul in 2006 as Project Director Turkey. From 2012 until 2018 he moved to Buenos Aires as Project Director for Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay until he installed the new office in Lima for the Andean Counties (Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuala) and became the first Project Director. Being assigned as Interim Regional Director MENA in July 2022, he formaly took over this position on February 1st 2023.

Ronetta Shikakhwa was born in Amman in 1984 but is original of Circassian origin. She graduated from Rosary Sisters College in 2002 having pursued a Science degree, before completing her degree in Actuarial Science from the University of Jordan in 2006.
She has an extensive history of working at different organizations in finance and tax departments including Royal Jordanian Airlines, Izzat Marji Group, Arab Bank, Dallah Albarakat Flight Operation Co., and the Regional Support Offices for the Netherlands Embassies in MENA. In 2016 she joined Friedrich Naumann Foundation as a Finance Auditor and was then promoted to Finance Coordinator and Auditor for the MENA region.

Sandra Henriet joined the FNF team in March 2017 as a Finance coordinator and HR Administrator.
Even though in possession of a Bachelor in Arts Sandra has been active in the Financial Sector during her professional career in Private Banking for six years and in Finance and Accounting within a US Theatrical Company for five years. She has been living in Belgium since 1995 and is fluent in French, Dutch, German and English.
