George F. Wallace

Mr. Wallace is an experienced and entrepreneurial-driven Patent Attorney with a formal background in computer science and a business-oriented perspective stemming from a wide range of technological and legal experiences. Mr. Wallace's practice includes a full range of computer software & hardware, electrical, mechanical, and electro-mechanical technologies. Though originally from the Washington, D.C. area, Mr. Wallace has a long history with the Fort Myers area spanning four generations of Wallaces. He began his technology career in the mid-80's as a Software Engineer and Computer Systems Analyst working within the data analysis and gaming industries in the Washington, D.C. Metro Area, and continued his computer-based career while attending the University of Maryland at College Park, where he received his Bachelor of Science in 1992. He then matriculated at and graduated from the University of Maryland School of Law (J.D., 1997) before holding U.S. Executive Office as a member of the Examining Corps at the United States Patent & Trademark Office, where his examination duties covered Computer Memory and Computer Network Technologies. Post-PTO, his private practice in Washington, D.C., Northern Virginia, and SW Florida has included intellectual property procurement, litigation, transactions, and opinions; and client-counseling on myriad legal and business-related issues. Mr. Wallace has practiced in both law firm and corporate settings, and has served as General Counsel and Chief Patent Counsel for a highly-profitable Internet company. He has represented a wide range of clients, from start-ups & independent inventors, such as Blue Sparq Inc. and Plate Design Corp, to established entities, such as International Business Machines, ASUSTek Computer Inc., and Tecsec Inc. His present practice includes intellectual property procurement, transactions, and opinions; strategic business planning and counseling; marketing strategies; and portfolio leveraging/exploitation. Mr. Wallace is a member of the State Bar of California and is registered to practice before the United States Patent & Trademark Office. His state law practice includes California State Law, and as he does not practice any Florida law, he is not a member of the Florida Bar. However, Mr. Wallace has acquired many highly-trusted legal contacts locally (to assist with any local issues), nationally, and internationally. Mr. Wallace is a proud member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association and the Edison Inventors Association, and has been an annual sponsor and judge at the Thomas Alva Edison Regional Science and Inventors Fair.
