George, who grew up from a business family in the Philippines, immigrated in 1974 to join his siblings and had his first job at the University of Manitoba. George and his business partner for life, Luvinia, a medical doctor by profession followed him in 1978 and found work at Health Sciences Centre. They both built their first home in 1985 through a reputable custom builder, met the best of the best of trades and decided to establish Fortune Homes in 1989 on the philosophy that a home does not need to cost a fortune to look like one. George then started building homes as a hobby while still working , during his off days. Since then, George has sharpened his knowledge in the construction industry by keeping abreast of new technology on home construction and staying on top of it. He is present in every step of the way, from the design concept to years after you have settled in your new home.
