The "CORNELIO ECOLOGICAL FOUNDATION of ACOSTA" (FUNDECOA) promotes preservation, renewal and education about natural resources in our country [Costa Rica]. Our organization exerts itself in defending its natural resources and in creating a solid base for future generations... We have named our organization "THE CORNELIO ECOLOGICAL FOUNDATION OF ACOSTA". This movement began due to a group of people worried about deterioration and destruction of our natural resources. The presence of unscrupulous and irresponsible business people, along with the lack of training of our town's people, has made our forest to destruction. The interest demonstrated by the members have made possible the inscription of our Foundation in the Public Register under Judicial Document number 3-006-13435, initiating the process toward accomplishing our goals... The world ecological problems do not exclude Acosta. This region is the victim of the irrational logging of its forest. Individuals whose only interest is..
