Frank Smith

Frank Smith has nearly 50 years experience in the construction industry at all levels. He has worked as Quantity Surveyor and a Contract Manager on an extensive range of projects in the residential and commercial sector. In addition to man aging projects from inception to conclusion he has also held positions as a draughtsman and site engineer. He has a broad range of experience in the residential and commercial sector, having worked on houses, housing schemes, apartments, churches, schools, hospitals, offices and factories. Frank Smith is a Chartered Construction Manager, and is a corporate member of the Chartered Institute of Building (MCIOB), the premier institute for managers in all disciplines in the construction industry. He served as chairman of the Eastern Centre of the CIOB (Leinster and Cavan/Monaghan) from 2008 to 2009. Since 2007 he has developed an interest in the conservation of fuel and energy in buildings. He is a regis tered assessor for domestic buildings with the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (www.SEAI.ie) Frank is a registered Teacher of Construction Technology, and has delivered courses on Renewable Energy Systems for ETBs in Kells, Navan, Cavan Institute and Monaghan Institute.
