In the last 17 years, she led the design and implementation of various programs both for development and emergency responses.

Andoni Santamaria Kampfner

Andoni Santamaria Kampfner is Head of Office of GAIN's office in Geneva, overseeing the management of the office including guidelines and procedures, day-to-day operations, and local stakeholder engagement. Andoni further manages a portfolio of projects under the Knowledge Leadership team, in close collaboration with technical staff, external partners and local stakeholders. He also oversees GAIN's output quality control mechanism and its dissemination tracking system. Andoni holds an MA in International Security from Sciences Po (I.E.P. Paris) and has extensive experience in programme and project management, monitoring and reporting in the development field. He is a fluent speaker of English, Spanish French and Basque, and practices Egyptian Arabic and Italian in his free time.

She has written and spoken publicly in many international forums on issues related to food security and nutrition, gender equality and women's empowerment, trauma and political identity, and agri-food finance. An Italian national, she holds a Ph.D in Political Science from the University of California at Berkeley and degrees in International Affairs and in Oriental Languages from the George Washington University and from the University of Venice, respectively. She has recently been closely involved in the UN Food Systems Summit process as Vice-Chair for Gender and Women of the Food Systems Champions' Network.

Dr. Elizabeth Kimani-Murage

Dr. Elizabeth Kimani-Murage is a Senior Research Scientist and Lead, Nutrition and Food Systems Unit at the African Population and Health Research Center (APHRC). She also leads the Zero Hunger Initiative at APHRC, whose mission is to promote freedom from hunger and the right to adequate food in Kenya and Africa, in line with the Sustainable Development Goal on Zero Hunger. She is a Public Health nutrition Specialist with a longstanding research, public and policy engagement and advocacy experience on food and nutrition security issues in Kenya and Africa. She is also a human rights (particularly the right to food) defender and advocate. Her vision is to transform food systems in Kenya and Africa to be more nourishing, human rights-based, resilient and sustainable, to promote human and ecological health. She was among Rockefeller Foundation's Top 10 visionaries under its 2050 Food Systems Vision Prize. Towards the actualization of her vision (under the Zero Hunger Initiative), she supports women and youth groups in low income areas in Kenya to enhance access to healthy food for themselves and their communities. Elizabeth has contributed to several local and international technical/professional groups and boards. These include the International Expert Group for the Global Nutrition Report Series 2014-2017; Vitamin Angels Board of Directors; and the Advisory Expert Group for TMG Think Tank's Assessment and Communication of Climate Impacts of Food (CLIF) Project. She has actively contributed to national policies related to nutrition and child health in Kenya. She holds a PhD in Public Health; a Masters of Public Health; and a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Health. She also (recently) holds a Bachelor of Laws degree and a Postgraduate Diploma in law, with a special interest in promotion of social justice and the right to food though advocacy.

Dr. Jemimah Njuki

Dr. Jemimah Njuki is the Chief of the Economic Empowerment section at UN Women. She is a recognized leader on gender equality and women's empowerment, having directed global initiatives promoting women's economic empowerment. Jemimah previously worked at the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) as the Director for Africa, where she worked with African governments and key stakeholders to develop evidence for transformative policy change. She has spent the last two years leading the UN Food Systems Summit's Gender Equality and Women's Empowerment Lever of Change and was instrumental in establishing the Coalition to Make Food Systems Work for Women and Girls. Additionally, she led the design and deployment of the Global Food 5050, an indicator and mechanism for gender responsibility for organizations engaged in global food systems. She has led the gender equality work with the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) including the design of the Growth and Economic Opportunities for Women (GRoW), the Women in Agriculture programme at CARE USA, and the Poverty, Gender and Impact programme at the International Livestock Research Institute.

Dr. Juan Rivera

Dr. Juan Rivera is a senior Professor-Researcher and former General Director of the National Institute of Public Health. Dr. Rivera is a member of the National Academy of Medicine and the Mexican Academy of Sciences, founding Director of the Center for Nutrition and Health Research at INSP, and member of the EAT-LANCET Commission on healthy diets for sustainable food systems. He has authored over 560 hundred publications, he has made more than 750 presentations and conferences at national and international scientific events and his published works have been mentioned more than 48,573 times on different scientific media of national and international circulation and he studies the epidemiology of malnutrition in all its forms, with a view toward lasting solutions. Dr. Rivera has been granted with the 2010 Hippocrates International Medical Research Award on Human Nutrition, the 2010Scopus Award in the Health Sciences category, the 2009 Kellogg International Nutrition Research Award, the 20th GlaxoSmithKline Foundation National Research Award, the 2003 Fred L. Soper Award from the Pan American Health Organization. In 2019, Dr. Rivera awarded the Carlos Slim Health Prize for his research career and the "Gerardo Varela" Public Health Award 2022

Elizabeth Maddison

Elizabeth is responsible for the corporate governance function at GAIN and leads the Human Resources (HR) and Information Technology (IT) teams. She works with colleagues to coordinate activities across GAIN's operations. She joined GAIN in November 2017, following eight years as Director of Strategic Operations and Secretary to the Board at the Institute of Development Studies (IDS). Prior to that, she held senior roles in UK further and higher education, working nationally and institutionally. The latter included a decade leading the strategic planning and projects function at a UK University, as well as work on widening participation in higher education and leading an award-winning initiative in university/community engagement. A very long time ago, she obtained a Bachelor's degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from the University of Oxford, a Master's degree in Education from the Open University and a Master's in Public Administration from the University of Warwick. At IDS, she led the professional functions across HR, Finance, IT and Facilities, supporting GBP 22 million turnover and 240 staff. Relevant projects there included a significant governance review and refresh; searches for the Director and Board Chair; work on pensions, incentives and rewards; financial sustainability; risk management; various restructures; and major collaborations.

Enock Musinguzi

He previously worked for GAIN in Kenya as a Project Manager and Senior Technical Specialist, Agriculture and Nutrition. Before joining GAIN, he worked with Bioversity International (CGIAR) as both an Associate Expert and Associate Scientist. He worked with Africare International in Uganda, as a Community Nutrition and Sanitation Advisor. He served with government as a Fisheries Officer for the delivery of extension services aimed at improving the nutritional and economic status of mainly rural communities through fish farming in Uganda.

Farrah Naz

As Country Director, Farrah works with both government and business to maximise GAIN's impact in addressing the burden of nutritional deficiencies in Pakistan. She oversees the development and implementation of programmes and projects and makes sure that the operational and strategic plans of the organisation are met. Farrah joined GAIN Pakistan as Country Director in March 2020. She is trained in rural development and gender. She has worked extensively in the design and delivery of multisectoral humanitarian responses, food safety, health, nutrition, water and sanitation, girls education, disability inclusive development, community development and gender based violence projects in Pakistan, Afghanistan, South Sudan, Philippines and Guinea. She has around three decades of experience working in the development sector with national and international NGOs and UNDP; is well-versed in managing projects in a multi-sectoral environment, as well as leading international teams. Farrah joined GAIN from the Christoffel Blinden Mission Christian Blind Mission - CBM e.V. where she worked as Country Director on the disability inclusive development, violence against women and girls with disabilities, eye health system, and community based inclusive development.

Felia Salim

Felia Salim is active in the finance, governance, and sustainability sectors. She currently sits on the board of directors of the Indonesian Eximbank. With more than 30 years in the financial sector, from 2004-2015, Ms Salim served PT Bank Negara Indonesia, one of Indonesia's largest state banks. As Vice President Director/Transformation Director, she was responsible for the comprehensive transformation of the bank. This meant having to align people, process, and technology resulting in a healthier bottom line based on segments which include the micro and SME. This endeavor covered Sustainability measures to be introduced into the enterprise-wide risk management framework. She held two important positions: as the Deputy Chairperson of The Indonesian Bank Restructuring Agency, right after serving as the Head of the Secretariat for the Financial Sector Policy Committee addressing problems of the Asian Crisis in late 1990. She has also been instrumental in developing several key organizations focused on democracy, and good governance/anti-corruption, such as the Partnership for Governance Reform of Indonesia, The Transparency International Indonesia Chapter, and the Tifa Foundation. Her philanthropy and commitment to sustainability-climate change work have earned her seats in both national and international Advisory and Governing Boards such as et al: the AndGreen Fund, a Dutch-based Blended/Climate finance to focus work in Indonesia, Liberia, and Brazil; US based Climate and Land Use Alliance (CLUA) doing work in Asia and Latin and Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet (GEAPP) covering South Africa, India, Vietnam, Myanmar, and Indonesia to catalyze and accelerate investments in green energy transitions and renewable energy solutions.
