GALIANOS POLYGRAPHE EXPERT - Key Persons

Mr. John Galianos joined the Sûreté du Québec in 1968. He began his career as a patrol officer and then worked as an investigator in the Criminal Investigation Bureau in Hull. Subsequently, Mr. Galianos served as a team leader in the Crimes Against the Person Unit (Homicide and Armed Robbery) and as Deputy Commander of the Emergency Response Team (ERT) at the Grand Headquarters in Montreal. In 1976, Mr. Galianos was selected by a special committee of the Sûreté du Québec to attend polygraph training at the Keeler Polygraph Institute in Chicago. He returned with a diploma and became the first polygraphist of the SQ, thus making history. At the same time, the Polygraph Division was initiated as it exists today.
