Ally Young

Job Titles:
  • Veterinary Assistant
Ally joined our team in January 2017 and though she primarily works at our clinic in Platteville, Family Pet Hospital, she often helps out at the Galena Square practice as well. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Platteville in May 2020 with a bachelor's degree in Animal Science. She is currently continuing her education through Madison Area Technical College to obtain her veterinary technician degree and fulfill her dream to become a CVT. She has always had a passion for working with animals since she was a young girl. In her spare time, she enjoys playing with her own fur-babies, exhibiting dairy cattle, and spending time with friends and family.

Dr. Jessica Kassen

Dr. Jessica Kassen is a native of northwest Illinois, where she grew up on her family farm with a wide variety of pets. She graduated from Iowa State University with her DVM in 2016 and previously practiced at a small animal/exotics clinic. Dr. Kassen and her husband live in rural southwest WI with their young sons, Grant and Owen. Their current list of pets includes a dog, cats, chickens, goats, and a horse. She loves to spend her free time baking and working in the garden. Dr. Kassen enjoys getting to know families and their pets, and providing individualized care and support through every stage of their pet's life.

Dr. Katie Bognar

Dr. Katie Bognar grew up in a small town outside of Madison, Wisconsin. Dr. Katie's love for animals began at a young age, and she has been working with animals of all shapes and sizes since 2010. She attended UW- Platteville, where she received her Bachelor's of Animal Science in 2017. After undergraduate school, she went on to earn her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, which she completed in 2021. Dr. Katie enjoys working in private practice as it allows her to make personal connections with clients and to educate them about their pet's health. Private practice also permits Dr. Katie to involve herself in the local community. Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Katie enjoys spending time with her friends and family including her husband, Niko, and border collie, Ace. She also likes crafting, hiking, baking, and reading.

Dr. Naomi Sprank

Dr. Sprank earned her DVM from Iowa State University's College of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. After graduation, Dr. Sprank practiced both at a humane society and a small animal clinic. Dr. Sprank lives in a small town near the Dubuque area with her two young children, Ella and Clark. Her two rescued pets include a white German Shepherd

Dr. Terry Beebe

Dr. Terry Beebe purchased Galena Square Veterinary Clinic in 2013. He grew up locally on a dairy farm near Scales Mound, IL. After graduating from the University of Illinois, he and his wife, Jolene, operated the family dairy farm with his parents for 12 years. The dream of being a veterinarian lured him away from the family farm. He attended classes at UW-Platteville for 2 years prior to going to veterinary school. Dr. Beebe received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Oklahoma State University in 2000. Dr. Beebe has owned and operated Family Pet Hospital, LLC in Platteville, Wisconsin since 2006. Terry and Jolene have 3 children, Tanner, Jared, & Taylor. They raise English Shepherds and their dogs are Tessa NOON, Buddy, Bella, Gracie, and Tuff. Dr. Beebe especially enjoys Preventative Medicine, Surgery, and Orthopedics. He delights in getting to know patients and clients as well as helping future veterinarians gain insight and experience in the profession.

Ellie Alaelua

Ellie joined our team in June 2021. She works at both Galena Square Veterinary Clinic and Family Pet Hospital locations.

Jolene Beebe

Job Titles:

As our Clinic Manager, Jolene combines her nursing skills with her past experience in bookkeeping and accounting. Jolene and her husband (Dr. Terry Beebe) live in Platteville WI. Life gets crazy as they try to keep up with sons Tanner & Jared, and daughter Taylor. They are active at Community Evangelical Free Church and raise English Shepherd puppies. Jolene completed her Associates degree in Nursing at Northeast IA Community College in 1995. She has worked as an OR Circulating, Labor & Delivery, Neonatal Intensive Care, Mother-Baby, and Pediatric Nurse.

Kelsi Koester

Kelsi completed her education through Penn Foster College for her Veterinary Assistant degree and is currently working on her Veterinary Technician degree. She started working for Galena Square Veterinary Clinic as an intern and has continued with us. She likes the hands on aspects of veterinary medicine the best and working directly with patients. She lives in the country with her two children, Weston and Kinzley. Kelsi and her family share their lives with a variety of animals. In her downtime, Kelsi enjoys spending time with her human and furry family members.

Meg Justmann

Meg joined our team in April 2021and though she primarily works at our clinic in Platteville, Family Pet Hospital, she often helps out at the Galena Square practice as well. She came with a degree in Biology from the University of Iowa and two years of experience in emergency veterinary medicine. Growing up playing vet with the family dogs, her goal is to turn that dream into a reality and pursue her education to become a veterinarian. In her free time, she enjoys participating in lure coursing with her two Silken Windhounds, Argo and Indy, pictured with her here.

Megan Soppe

Megan joined our team in August of 2019, bringing with her 20 years of customer service experience. Megan spends most of her working hours at Galena Square Veterinary Clinic, but you may run into her at Family Pet Hospital as well. She grew up in Platteville and has always had a love for animals. She is eager to go back to school to become a veterinary technician. Megan currently lives in Cuba City with her son, Brayden, and twin sister, Molly. Ruling the house are her cats, Allie, Allan, and Sam and Dean Winchester. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, attending her son's sporting events (she's his #1 fan!), cooking, and going to concerts.

Rachel Przybyla

Rachel joined our team in January 2020 and though she primarily works at our clinic in Platteville, Family Pet Hospital, she often helps out at the Galena Square practice as well. She is currently a student at the University of Wisconsin - Platteville where she is studying Animal Science with an emphasis in Pre-Veterinary Medicine. Since she was a young girl, she has always had an ambition for working with animals. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, working on her neighbor's dairy farm, and spending time with her dog Rosco and cat Willow.
