Sally Starbuck is an experienced architect and, as director of Gaïa ecotecture, has practiced with Paul Leech realising high-quality, award-winning, ecological buildings in Ireland & the UK with associated research papers published. She has Professional Skills for nZEB, including strategic tools and detailed calculations of low-energy design strategies and Life Cycle Cost analysis: A specialist in building design with natural ventilation, constructed with breathing materials for healthy vapour control including durability, fire, access/ security, safely maintainable to standard and innovative uses of traditional technologies. She is architect of three of the residential-workplace units purpose-built at The ecoVillage, Cloughjordan, demonstrating rural resilience and climate change adaptation. Established over 20 years, innovatively as a Member-controlled purpose-built, community to integrate the 3 themes of sustainability (with few state supports).
