GASCADE is an independent transmission system operator. We have been organised for more than ten years as an independent, fully regulated transmission system operator on the basis of the German Energy Industry Act, and are certified by the German Federal Network Agency... GASCADE is one of the initiators and co-founders of BIL eG. The "nationwide information system for pipeline research (BIL)" is intended to protect the supply infrastructure from being affected and damaged by civil engineering works... IT security is a sensitive issue, especially in relation to critical infrastructures. We address its special significance with our own hardware and software systems. Certification of our IT systems by TÜV as part of the information security management system (ISMS) testifies that data and information security are handled reliably at the company.
