Ashley Davis

Ashley is a resident of Marshall, NC. Ashley joined the Gasperson team in early 2023. She came to us with 3 years of customer service and receptionist experience. She enjoys assisting customers and making their moving experience easier. Outside of work, Ashley enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and children.

Audra Godfrey

Job Titles:
  • Operations Manager
Audra joined the Gasperson team in early 2016. She came to us with over 8 years of experience in the hospitality and customer service industry. Her previous experience in management and banking have prepared her for success in the moving industry as our Operations Manager. She enjoys working with our customers to ensure a smooth transition into their new homes. Outside of work, Audra enjoys spending time with her husband, three daughters and their dog.

Dwayne Ballew

Job Titles:
  • Warehouse Manager
Dwayne is a native of Western North Carolina and joined the Gasperson team in 2007. Dwayne possesses an extensive background in the furniture manufacturing industry where he obtained a decade of management experience and skills. He currently oversees our nearly 40,000 ft² of warehouse storage space and manages our commercial warehousing services. Dwayne is a husband and father of three and enjoys a variety of outdoor sports including biking and hiking.

Kaleb Vess

Kaleb is a Western North Carolina Native and resident of Weaverville. He began working with Gasperson in 2008 and has gained experience as a packer, mover, and dispatcher/operations manager. He is a Certified Moving Consultant and currently represents the company in sales, a position which he has held since 2011. His unique experience in the moving business allows him to formulate accurate and customized moving solutions for each of our clients. Having grown up in Buncombe County, he has a great respect and knowledge of Western North Carolina and its people, heritage, and culture. He appreciates living in one of the most beautiful places in the world and helping our community with their moving needs. Kaleb enjoys spending time with his wife and son, especially camping, grilling and smoking meats.

Tom Hunnicutt - President

Tom is an Asheville native and graduate of the Asheville School. He is a veteran and has management experience with both UPS and the USDA Forest Service. He began his career in the moving industry in 1996 and, since that time, has held every position within Gasperson Moving and Storage. In addition to his current responsibilities as General Manager, Tom oversees all commercial relocations and is an AMSA Certified Office and Industrial Move Consultant. Through the years Tom has been an active member of the North Carolina Movers Association serving on the board and executive committee before becoming President from 2009-2011. Tom has also served on the Stevens' Van Lines Agent Advisory Council and is currently serving on the North American Van Lines Quality Committee. His exceptional skills have been recognized repeatedly. He is the recipient of the 2015 "James T Dorman Distinguished Service Award" and the 2009 "Mover of the Year" Award, both from the North Carolina Movers Association. He has received both the "4 Star Quality Award" and "Customer Choice Quality Award" from North American Van Lines as well as Stevens Van Lines' "Agent Committed to Excellence." Tom is a certified "ProMover" (a standard of professional ethical conduct) through the American Moving and Storage Association and is a "Certified Office and Industrial Consultant" (reflects proven expertise in coordinating and managing commercial moves) through that same organization. Tom is an active member of the Asheville community and been awarded the "Distinguished Service Award" by the Rotary club of Asheville, where he has served on the board. He is also an alumnus of Leadership Asheville 18, a program that fosters exceptional community service.
