Charles D. Gavrilovich

Charles D. Gavrilovich, Jr. ("Chuck") brings extensive legal and technical experience to the partnership. Mr. Gavrilovich's practice focuses on patent preparation and prosecution services for large corporations as well as midsize companies and startups. During his career he has prepared and prosecuted numerous U.S. and international patents in many technical areas including telecommunications, radio frequency circuits, fixed and mobile wireless communications, data communications, computer systems and software, Internet systems and software, semiconductors, analog and digital circuits, optical communications, smart cards, video communications, multimedia systems, wireless internet systems, business methods, automotive devices, biomedical devices, artificial intelligence, and mechanical devices. Craig R. Hodulik

Prior to joining Gavrilovich, Dodd, & Lindsey, LLP as Of Counsel, Mr. Hodulik held various positions at large and start-up pharmaceutical companies. Mr. Hodulik is a co-inventor on small molecule therapeutic patent applications and a co-author on articles appearing in scientific journals. Joseph R. Baker

Mr. Baker's practice focuses on patent, trademark, trade secret and copyright matters, concentrating on patent and trademark prosecution. Mr. Baker has over twenty years of experience preparing and prosecuting patents in a variety of technical areas. He has prepared and prosecuted U.S. and foreign patents in many technical areas, including biotechnology such as stem cells, gene therapy, vector systems, genomics, proteomics, antibodies, nano-biotechnology, and bioinformatics; pharmaceuticals such as small molecules, formulations, liposomal delivery systems; medical devices; and material sciences such as nanotechnology materials. He has also prepared and negotiated significant patent and technology transfer licenses and has written numerous legal opinions for clients on product clearance, patent infringement, invalidity, and enforceability. Michael K. Lindsey

Mr. Lindsey's practice focuses on patent, trademark, trade secret and copyright matters, concentrating on patent and trademark prosecution. For more than 20 years, Mr. Lindsey has represented clients globally in the electronics, telecommunications, cellular, semiconductor, optoelectronic, automotive, food, medical device, chemical, and biotech industries. He has prepared and prosecuted hundreds of U.S. and foreign patents and trademarks. He has also litigated more than 30 patent, copyright, trade secret and trademark matters filed in U.S. district courts, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and state courts. Mr. Lindsey is an experienced trial attorney who has also handled appeals to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and Seventh Circuit. He has also prepared and negotiated significant patent and technology transfer licenses and has written numerous legal opinions for clients on product clearance, patent infringement, invalidity, and enforceability, as well as right-to-use trademark opinions. Mr. Lindsey was formerly an attorney with the law firm of Howrey LLP. During law school, he was an extern to the Honorable Judge Blanche Manning of the Northern District of Illinois. Richard A. Dunning

Richard A. Dunning, Jr. ("Rick") has 25 years of experience in law following a decade practicing as an electrical engineer. Travis L. Dodd

Mr. Dodd has practiced patent prosecution since 1995. He is actively involved in the planning and execution of intellectual property strategies for start-up and emerging growth companies. His practice has been directed to chemistry, biochemistry, mechanics, and physics. For instance, Mr. Dodd has considerable experience in the fields of polymer chemistry, electrochemistry, assay technologies, medical devices, optical communications, and lasers. Additionally, he has experience with arts that combine the above fields with electrical applications such as integrated circuit fabrication, telecommunications, and computer software.
