Aaron Neppl

Starting as an intern in 2017, Aaron first worked on Sheyenne Plaza and Homewood Suites before moving over to Dorothy Dodds Elementary to close the project out with Principal Steve Gehrtz. He graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead in 2018 and joined us as a full time Construction Manager. Aaron's passion for learning has guided his career and he enjoys applying his knowledge to projects like the Cullen Hockey Center Addition and Remodel and Moorhead High School Remodel. An outdoor enthusiast, Aaron spends his time off hunting, fishing, going to the lake in the summer, and watching sports.

Ashley Demers

Ashley joined the Zerr Berg and Gehrtz Construction Services teams as an Office Manager in 2008. Ashley keeps operations and people running smoothly throughout the office. She enjoys planning employee activities and is in charge of all contracts in the office. Ashley received her Bachelor's Degree in Business Management from the University of Mary and an Associate's Degree in Sales, Marketing, and Management from Northwest Technical College. Ashley and her husband, Tom, live in Moorhead, MN with their three active boys. Outside the office, Ashley enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, volunteering, watching movies, reading, photography, and tackling house projects.

Ben Naylor

Ben enjoys working on projects that challenge him to come up with new solutions because those are where he learns the most. He enjoyed working on Phase I of the new high school in Moorhead in 2023 and the remodels of S.G. Reinertsen and Ellen Hopkins in the summer of 2017 because of the fast pace and hard deadlines. He recently completed the 8 th & Main (Block E) project in Moorhead, solving the unique challenges of the site; a small site, on a busy street, and the shape of the building. He graduated from MSUM in the spring of 2016 with a Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management and has been working for Gehrtz Construction since. As a die-hard UND hockey fan, Ben spends winters going to games at his favorite building, the Ralph Engelstad Arena. In the summer he plays softball and spends time at the lake with friends and family.

Brett Rathbone

Brett joined Zerr Berg Architects in April of 2018. He is a graduate of NDSU with a Master's degree in Architecture. Guiding clients through all aspects of a project, he is involved with each step from concept to completion. He loves to learn something new, and if need be, get his hands dirty doing it. Working on, creating, and learning how to make an idea into a physical reality is a passion of his, whatever the subject. A private pilot, he enjoys anything aviation-related in addition to biking, wood-working, and fiddling with electronics.

Dan has been part of the Gehrtz Construction Services Team since 2001. Dan has managed an array of projects from new construction to complex remodels. He manages all facets of the project from cost estimating, scheduling, plan review, and project management. Dan works closely with clients and the design team to provide a high-quality project that is within budget and completed on schedule. Dan lives in Dilworth, MN with wife and three kids. In his free-time he enjoys fishing, hunting, going to sporting events, and spending time at the lake with his family.

Larry graduated from NDSU with a Bachelor of Architecture Degree and a Bachelor of Environmental Design degree and became a Registered Architect in 1999. Larry joined the Zerr Berg Architects team in 2007. In 2016, he was awarded a Master of Architecture Degree from Lawrence Technological University in Michigan. Larry has over twenty years of experience in architectural programming, design, and construction documents. As coordinator of the project team he serves clients in a wide array of project areas such as: education, worship, government, recreation, retail, and mixed-use residential. At Zerr Berg, Larry is involved in all aspects of the project, from design and construction documents to construction administration and completion, ensuring the delivery of top quality architectural services. His recent work experience is related to major school projects in North Dakota, such as: Judge Ronald N. Davies High School in Fargo, Liberty Middle School in West Fargo, Sts. Anne and Joachim Church in Fargo, and Midkota High School in Glenfield, ND, along with other churches, office buildings, and healthcare projects. Larry lives in Fargo, ND with his wife, Luiza, and their two sons. In his free time, he enjoys bicycle rides, reading, pencil-sketching, traveling, and writing.

Matt Gehrtz

Melissa Gornowicz

Melissa joined the Zerr Berg and Gehrtz Construction Services teams in March of 2015 as an Accountant. She is a graduate of Concordia College with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and has 10 years of accounting experience in public and private accounting. Melissa is responsible for all financial duties of the company. Melissa and her husband live north of Moorhead with their four young children. In her free time, Melissa enjoys spending time with her family, running to activities, reading, and cooking.

Tyler Brandriet

Tyler Brandriet joined the Zerr Berg Architecture team in April of 2010. He received his Master of Architecture degree in May of 2012 from North Dakota State University. Tyler has a range of project experience on a variety of project types and is always up for a new challenge. From early design phases to construction administration, Tyler's responsibilities include a variety of levels of project management. A strong work ethic and a methodical attention to detail are two qualities that Tyler exhibits on every project. Tyler provides project support by assisting with production of construction documents, 3-D visualization and modeling, marketing, technical support, and design. Outside of work Tyler enjoys outdoor activities, home improvement projects, woodworking, and playing an active role in the Church and community with his wife, Mary.
