Craig Schlauch - COO

Craig Schlauch is the Director of Operations of General Aluminum Manufacturing reporting directly to the President of General Aluminum Mfg. Company. Craig oversees all operation activities across General Aluminums five manufacturing plants to include safety, quality and delivery initiatives. He also leads the team in advanced process control and automations activities with a strong focus on improving General Aluminums competitiveness within the marketplace. Craig has been with General Aluminum for 17 years and has held several positions in that time that include, Manufacturing Engineer, Plant Manager and General Manager. Prior to joining General Aluminum Craig was employed at the Permold Corporation where he started his now 31-year foundry career. Craig started out on the shop floor learning the process firsthand before advancing to other roles including, Layout, Project Manager, Plant Superintendent, Quality Manager and Plant Manager.

Gary McLaughlin - VP of Sales

Gary McLaughlin is the Director of Sales and Marketing of General Aluminum Manufacturing reporting to the President of General Aluminum Mfg. Company. Gary leads all General Aluminums new sales, revenue development and commercial activities across all five divisions at General Aluminum. Gary joined General Aluminum in January of 2000 and has held positions in operations and sales. These include, General Manager, Operations Manager, Sales Manager and Account Management. Gary has been involved in a multitude of new program aluminum product launches and in his tenure has contributed significant growth across several industries and Fortune 500 companies. Prior to joining General Aluminum, Gary has 16 years of Thermoset Composite experience as a Product Development Engineer, Quoting and Program Manager for IBM, EMC and Automotive Thermoset products. Gary also was involved in developing electrostatic dissipative composite (ESD) materials and processes for mass production in compression molding to develop new products and customers. Gary earned a Bachelor Degree in Industrial Engineering Technologies with a minor in Electrical Engineering Technologies from Kent State University.

Jay Penlington

Jay Penlington is General Aluminum Manufacturing Company's Vice President of Tooling, Machining, and Program Launch. Jay reports to Thomas Messner, President of General Aluminum. Jay oversees all machining, tooling design and program launch over all divisions of General Aluminum. He joined General Aluminum in September of 1999 as the Tooling Design Engineering Manager. In 2013, he was promoted to Vice President of General Aluminum with the added responsibility of machining. Working together with a team to launch numerous program as well as continuous improvements to existing programs including cost saving initiatives and developing new automated techniques. Prior to joining General Aluminum, Jay was the Foundry and Tooling Manager at Superior Industries, the world's largest aluminum wheel facility responsible for 600 employees. Before that, he was the Foundry and Tooling Manager at Reynolds Wheels International. Jay completed his degree in Machining at Niagara College of Applied Arts and Technology with an apprenticeship through the Ontario Colleges and Universities.

Matthew Proske

Matt Proske is the Corporate Director of Advanced Engineering for General Aluminum Manufacturing reporting to the President. Matt oversees all engineering activities for new and existing programs across General Aluminums five manufacturing plants. Matt began his foundry career at FSI/Ravenna Aluminum Rootstown foundry in 1998. After earning his Bachelor Degree in Foundry Engineering from Kent State University, he was promoted to Foundry Engineer and responsible for gating, riser, cooling, and process development for all new and existing tooling. Matt left FSI to work for MAGMA Foundry Technologies, the world leader in metal casting process simulation, and the same simulation software product we use here today. He brings back over 20 years of leadership, new business development, and hands-on problem solving experience in the foundry and injection molding industries. Matt previously held the position as Corporate Continuous Improvement Manager at GAMCO. He's been involved in multiple process and quality improvement projects as well as suporting new business development.

Scott Welling - President

Teresa Reckner is the Corporate Human Resources Manager of General Aluminum Manufacturing reporting to the President of General Aluminum Manufacturing Company. Teresa leads the Human Resource Teams at all five divisions of General Aluminum, in addition to the corporate office. Prior to joining General Aluminum, Teresa worked 17 years as a Human Resource/Safety Director in the metal stamping industry and has 20+ years' experience in roles as Human Resource and Payroll Manager in the manufacturing industry.
