Alexander Sueiro is a founding member of PAAST, P.L. and Genesis Systems Consulting, LLC. He has over 25 years of experience providing assurance, business consulting, and forensic accounting and litigation support services to a diverse client base in a variety of industries.
Alex specializes in internal and external audits, and reviews of financial institutions. He has managed a variety of engagements, including loan portfolio reviews, bank-wide risk assessments, Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering audits, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation Improvement Act audits, compliance audits, and information technology audits. In addition, he has experience testing beta versions of bank software programs.
Alex is an adjunct accounting professor at Florida International University (FIU). He has lectured at the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA) Miami Dade Chapter, the Association of Cuban Accountants in Exile, University of Miami, and FIU. Regarded as an expert in his field, he is frequently invited to speak to certified public accountants (CPA) and banking professionals on topics such as external and internal audits, as well as other operational reviews.
Alex stays current with topics relating to public accounting and financial institutions by frequently attending local, state and national training seminars and conferences provided by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA); Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Financial Managers Society; Office of the Comptroller of the Currency; Florida Bankers Association; Florida International Bankers Association; South Florida Banking Institute; and Certified Fraud Examiners. He also participates in the annual Deposit and Lending Compliance Seminar hosted by PAAST.
Prior to co-founding the firm, Alex was a senior manager at a regional accounting firm. He was in charge of the firm's financial institution practice, and was responsible for managing and reviewing compliance audits, internal audits and external audits.

Carlos Perez-Abreu is a founding member and managing partner of PAAST, P.L. and Genesis Systems Consulting, LLC. He has over 20 years of experience providing accounting, assurance, consulting, forensic accounting, litigation support and tax services to clients in a variety of industries. Carlos has also worked on numerous forensic accounting and fraud auditing engagements and has provided expert witness testimony for several cases.
As managing partner, Carlos leads the firm toward the achievement of its strategic vision, oversees day-to-day operations, and implements policy decisions.
Due to his diverse background in public accounting, Carlos has been invited to lecture at the University of Florida, Cuban-American CPA's Association, Alpha Kappa Psi Florida Gold Coast Alumni Chapter, and the annual Deposit and Lending Compliance Seminar hosted by PAAST. He has also been quoted in Miami Today News.
Carlos stays current on topics relating to public accounting and financial institutions by frequently attending conferences and seminars provided by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA), and Cuban American Certified Public Accountants Association (CACPA), which allows him to stay current on topics relating to public accounting. He is a former member of the AICPA Technical Issues Committee.
Prior to starting his own public accounting firm, Carlos was the manager of the Audit department of a large regional public accounting firm.

Juan is a founding member of the public accounting firm PAAST, P.L. and Genesis Systems Consulting, LLC. He has over 30 years of experience providing accounting, attestation, business consulting, forensic accounting, litigation support and tax services to an array of clients, including automobile dealerships, broker-dealers, commerce associations, financial institutions, healthcare providers, hotels and resorts, internet companies, law firms, manufacturing companies, professional sports franchises, as well as Security Exchange Commission clients.
Regarded as an expert in the financial institutions industry, Juan has been invited to speak to certified public accountants (CPAs) and banking professionals on various topics, including internal audits and accounting standards relating to financial institutions and other operational areas. He has lectured at conferences sponsored by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA), Cuban American Certified Public Accountants Association (CACPA), and Florida International University (FIU).

Michael Jimenez is a founding member of both Genesis Systems Consulting LLC and PAAST, P.L. Michael has extensive experience in information security, information technology governance, growth strategy consulting, vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, forensic information technology, due diligence, system validations, banking compliance, and Bank Secrecy Act, and Anti-Money Laundering for clients in multiple industries using an array of software applications and platforms. He has also performed IT, E-Banking, and BSA Risk Assessments in accordance with FFIEC guidelines.
Michael also provides oversight for the day-to-day operations of the firm, including information technology (IT) governance and security management.
Michael has been invited by Prime Global's North America and Latin America regions, as well as the University of Miami's Beta Alpha Psi, to lecture on topics such as implementing document management systems, and data and network security.
Prior to joining the firm, Michael supervised the Management Information Systems department of a regional accounting firm. He was as a member of the technology team for several systems and was instrumental Year 2000 IT security reviews and compliance mandates for the financial institutions and regulated industries serviced by the firm.
Michael previously worked at Pan American Airlines as a Network Manager developing, implementing, and managing the airline's Wide Area Network (WAN), as well as remote access solutions for the airline's global network and its employees. He was also responsible for maintaining and implementing network security policies for the organization.
As a network and Lotus Notes engineer at IVAX Corporation, Michael was responsible for the development, implementation and management of the company's WAN solutions for corporate headquarters and global subsidiaries. He was also in charge of the maintenance of the corporation's Lotus Notes servers worldwide.

Michael R. Torres is a founding member of the public accounting firm PAAST, P.L. and partner in Genesis Systems Consulting, LLC. He has over 20 years of experience providing tax, accounting, attestation, business consulting, forensic accounting, and litigation support services to clients in the banking, hospitality and tourism, manufacturing, media, nonprofit, pharmaceutical, sports and entertainment, technology, and telecommunications industries. Michael's experience includes domestic and international tax planning and preparation for individuals and corporations; preparing business plans for start ups, mergers and acquisitions; performing internal audits and operational reviews; as well as financial consulting. In addition, Michael has forensic accounting and fraud auditing experience on cases ranging from divorce to commercial litigation.
Michael has been involved in the performance of audits and agreed-upon procedures for financial institutions since 1997. He has worked in the Caribbean auditing international banks with various financial derivatives such as foreign currency forward exchange contracts, interest rate swaps, and equity swaps. Michael has also worked on international bank projects related to the Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering Act (BSA/AML) and the Patriot Act. He has also worked with various domestic banks in performing external audits, internal audits, BSA/AML consulting, loan reviews, and compliance audits of certain regulations.
Michael has lectured at Florida International University, Polaris International, now known as PrimeGlobal, and Bank United. He has appeared on Univision Television Network, CNN en Español Radio, Bloomberg in Español Radio, and Caracol USA Radio/1260 AM.
