If parties are coming to mediation, then they/their attorneys have not yet been able to amicably resolve the issues. And, mediation usually works . . . approximately 90% of the family law cases Cheryl mediates do settle...
Even if the mediation is only scheduled for a few hours, try to make the entire day available. When parties are making progress towards a settlement, it can be difficult to keep that "settlement momentum" going, if someone must leave and the mediation continues to another time.
