Patrick J. Gallagher

Pat was born and raised in St. Paul. He received a B.A. in Economics from Creighton University and graduated with honors from the University of Minnesota Law School in 1974. Pat has helped many individuals and families determine how best to protect and pass on their assets. He has helped many business owners transfer control of their business to family members either during lifetime or as part of an estate plan to take effect at death. He has also represented numerous clients in transactional real estate and small business matters. Pat has been honored in a survey by Minneapolis-St. Paul Magazine as one of the top attorneys in Minnesota. Pat was the course chair for two Minnesota Continuing Legal Education (CLE) seminars on the Basics of Wills and Trusts, and for five of their seminars on Drafting Your First Will and Trust (most recently in 2020). He also co-authored a chapter of a Minnesota CLE Deskbook on Estate Planning for Non-Traditional Families. He is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association and three of its sections: the Probate and Trust Law Section, the Real Estate Section and the Elder Law Section. He is also a member of the 10th Judicial District Bar Association, and served on the Ramsey County Bar Association's Senior Issues Section. Pat has spoken at numerous seminars on topics related to his practice, and has been a contributing author of the Elder Law Handbook published by Minnesota CLE. He also has been named a Twin Cities Five Star Financial Services Professional Award winner by Mpls St. Paul Magazine and by Twin Cities Business Magazine.
