Prior to Workhuman, Chris served as Senior Vice President of Product and Technology for Angie's List, where he was responsible for product development efforts and was a leader in the merger of three subsidiary products into one consumer experience and relaunched Angie's List as Angi. Chris also served as Senior Vice President of Product, Technology and Analytics for edo Interactive where he launched the company's platform in three countries, tripling revenue over two years and was the Director of Product Management and Marketing for Emmis Interactive. Chris DeMeo is the vice president of customer acquisition, retention, & advocacy at Workhuman. Chris is no stranger to the Massachusetts business leadership community and his entrepreneurial mindset, deep ability to connect people and strategies, and passion for serial problem solving has resulted in a track record of success launching and growing brands. Prior to Workhuman, Chris was the vice president of global sales and marketing at Staples. He has extensive experience and proven success owning national sales initiatives and scaling brands across various corporate functions including marketing, merchandising, e-commerce, supply chain, corporate mergers and acquisitions, and sales strategy and operations. Chris is incredibly passionate about helping organizations realize the full potential of their humans and believes that through recognition, connection, and celebration, anyone can thrive.

Chris French

As Workhuman's executive vice president of customer strategy, Chris oversees the end-to-end experience for current and future customers. He oversees many critical aspects of Workhuman's business including customer success, customer experience, strategy and consulting, Workhuman research and analytics, and the Workhuman Certified program. Chris routinely advises leadership teams at many of the world's largest organizations on building cultures and achieving measurable results through a more human workplace. He has spent the last 10 years helping companies engage their employees on a global scale while delivering real business value. Prior to Workhuman, Chris was the executive vice president at Prinova, Inc. (now Messagepoint), senior vice president of global sales at Achievers, and the U.S. market leader for Buck Consultants' Global HR Technology and Administration practice. Chris has also held senior roles in client services, marketing, and consulting at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Cognicase, and Mastech. Chris is a graduate of McMaster University where he earned degrees in Psychology and Biology.

Derek Irvine

Grant Beckett

" Elevating recognition to a true business initiative that drives culture change requires the right tools to allow hundreds of thousands of globally dispersed employees to thank each other appropriately, equitably, and with cultural sensitivity. An HR technology industry veteran with more than 20 years of software and services product management and marketing leadership, Grant joined the company in July 2009, and leads the company's product strategy initiatives. Previously, Grant served as vice president of product management for HR services at Fidelity, where he launched the new business unit to provide HR services to mid-sized, U.S.-based multinational companies. Prior to Fidelity, Grant served as vice president of product strategy and alliances at Kenexa, where he drove product strategy, messaging, and the product roadmap. During this time, he was responsible for Kenexa's human capital management (HCM) products, and he played an integral part in Kenexa's acquisition of Webhire. Before this, Grant held leadership roles in product management at both Workscape and PeopleSoft. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Computer Science from the University of Virginia.

Jason Griggs is the senior vice president of global sales at Workhuman. Jason leads his global sales team to help companies recognize the incredible impact that Workhuman will have on their employees and their organizations as a whole. Prior to Workhuman, Jason spent ten years helping grow Workday, Inc., from a small startup to a leader in the HCM marketplace by leading several high-performing sales teams. Jesse Harriott

Jesse focuses on expanding the research efforts of the Workhuman iQ and building out Workhuman's data science capabilities. An esteemed research and analytics professional with more than 20 years of experience, Jesse has advised many private and public organizations on analytics and labor-market issues, including the White House, the Federal Reserve, and the U.S. Department of Labor. Jesse previously served as chief analytics officer at Constant Contact, a SaaS company, helping more than 650,000 organizations generate repeat business and referrals through online marketing solutions. Jesse also served as chief knowledge officer at Monster Worldwide, where he helped drive annual revenue from $300 million to more than $1.3 billion. An acclaimed author, he taught at the University of Chicago and holds a master's and a Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology from DePaul University.

Jim O'Dea

As Vice President of Global Operations, Jim leads Workhuman's Supply Chain, Customer Support, Systems Management and all things Operational around the world. Utilizing his more than 25 years of experience in multinational environments, Jim ensures all Workhuman's clients & employees have an exceptional experience with the Workhuman Cloud platform. Jim has a deep background in strategy development and execution, outsourced partnerships, and systems and processes, as well as extensive experience with multisite, customer-focused operations. Prior to Workhuman, he held leadership roles with some of the world's leading companies, including Apple, Gateway, and Palm. Jim holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the Dublin Institute of Technology.

Jonathan Hyland - CTO

Joining the company in 2001, Jonathan directs Workhuman's IT architecture, systems, and client implementation initiatives and leads a dynamic and innovative technical team in Dublin. Prior to Workhuman, he had more than a decade of international experience in IT management, and held consulting roles for technology companies such as Versatel (Netherlands) and Esat Telecom. Jonathan holds a Master of Science in Electronics, Computers, and Telecommunications Engineering and a First Class Bachelor of Science (Eng) in Electronics, Computers, and Telecommunications from Trinity College Dublin. He is also an associate member of the IEE.

Lauren E. Zajac

As vice president, general counsel and data protection officer, Lauren oversees all legal, regulatory, and compliance affairs for Workhuman. With more than 15 years of experience, she has served as legal counsel for a broad mix of high-growth public and private companies. Prior to Workhuman, Lauren was vice president of corporate affairs and general counsel at Metatomix, Inc., a leading provider of semantic solutions that was acquired by Versata Enterprises in 2010. Previously, she held the role of vice president, general counsel at Riverdeep, an Irish-based, public educational software company. Lauren also served as senior counsel for Allaire Corporation, Macromedia, Inc., and counsel for Object Design, Inc. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Boston College and a Juris Doctorate from Hofstra University School of Law.

Sarah Whitman

Sarah oversees Workhuman's proprietary global e-Commerce network, which contains expansive choices, with access to 1,500+ gift cards, and over one million merchandise items from thousands of leading brands. The e-Commerce network gives employees localized, relevant and impactful reward choices through an immersive and personalized redemption experience, making it a destination of choice for millions of employees around the world. She previously served as the head of Wayfair's Allmodern.com e-commerce destination and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from George Washington University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago.

Scott Dussault - CFO

With more than two decades of operational and financial leadership experience and a track record of success in both public and private technology companies, Scott joined the company as Chief Financial Officer in June of 2021. Prior to joining Workhuman, Dussault served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Nasuni Corporation, a leading cloud-based file services company. Dussault had also served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Demandware, Inc., the category-defining leader of enterprise cloud commerce solutions, where he saw the number of employees grow from 120 to 500 and annual recurring revenue increase from $8 million to $150 million. Scott led the company through its initial public offering and follow-on offering, which raised approximately $300 million and resulted in a market capitalization of over $3 billion. Prior to Demandware, Scott was CFO at Archivas, creator of the first enterprise-class cloud storage system, through its acquisition by Hitachi Data Systems. Achivas is now the basis for the Hitachi Content Platform (HCP). Scott was also Chief Financial Officer of StorageNetworks. Scott began his career with Ernst & Young LLP.

Steve Cromwell - CFO

With two decades of experience in finance management across a broad range of companies, Steve joined the company as chief financial officer in 2005. Before that, Steve served as vice president of finance for Avaki Corporation, overseeing the negotiation and sale of the company to Sybase. Prior to Avaki, Steve was senior director, corporate controller of Allaire Corporation, now a part of Adobe, a leader in web application development tools, application servers, and content management software. At Allaire, Steve was instrumental in managing the financial infrastructure to support the company's growth from a startup to a public company with revenues approaching $120 million. He has also served as director, corporate accounting at Interleaf, and held senior positions at Toyota and KPMG. Steve graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from State University of New York (SUNY), Binghamton. He is also a Certified Public Accountant.

Steve joined Workhuman in December of 2017 as chief human resources officer (CHRO) and works with HR leaders and senior management executives worldwide to help build workplaces where every employee feels recognized, respected, and appreciated for who they are and what they do. He champions and promotes our Workhuman movement to inspire HR leaders to embrace more humanity and foster a sense of purpose in the workplace. Steve is focused on building upon Workhuman's award-winning culture, which has set a new industry standard through its own power usage of recognition and positivity. Before joining Workhuman, Steve served in senior HR executive roles for Walgreens Boots Alliance and Monster.com. A frequent presenter on Capitol Hill, in 2015, he was appointed by U.S. Secretary of Labor Thomas Perez to serve on the Advisory Committee for the Competitive Integrated Employment of People with Disabilities. A passionate human rights champion, Steve has made equality, access, and opportunity the foundation of his personal and professional life. He is the author of two books, "The Lighthouse Effect", which highlights the goodness of humanity and empowers people to be a lighthouse to others, and the USA Today best-selling memoir and subject of the film, "A Chance in the World," in which Steve chronicled his extraordinary journey of his search for family. His tireless advocacy for the disenfranchised has earned him numerous accolades - including honorary doctorates from Winston-Salem State University, Mt. Ida College, and Boston College. He received the prestigious Horizon Award by the U.S. Congress, presented to private sector individuals who have expanded opportunities for all Americans through their own personal contributions, and who have set exceptional examples for young people through their successes in life.
