GILWERN PRIMARY SCHOOL

We aim to make sure each and every child who passes through our school's doors will develop the knowledge, values and skills to get the most out of their time in our school and afterwards... Gilwern School was established in 1879 and has been on our current site since 1973. We have over 210 pupils on the roll ranging in age from 4 to 11 years old... We're a village primary school for 4 to 11-year-olds situated in the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park and walking distance from the River Usk and the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal. Our pupils come from Gilwern and the surrounding area, and most have attended the Hopscotch Nursery within our school grounds.
