GHG PROTOCOL - Key Persons
Adrianne Gilbride joins WBCSD as Manager, Built on GHG Protocol, where she is responsible for developing and implementing the Built on GHG Protocol strategy within Support Services.
Prior to joining WBCSD, Adrianne spent 20 years working predominately in corporate and consulting environments building sustainability programs and managing environmental assessments in Canada, Vietnam and Switzerland. In her previous roles, Adrianne has built climate and social impact programs and led teams at two fast-growing outdoor and running brands. Prior to this, she managed multiple environmental impact assessments including two studies involving the clean up of the Agent Orange contamination in Vietnam and more than a dozen studies for proposed run-of-river hydro projects in western Canada.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in environmental engineering, a Bachelor of Arts in political science and in 2014 she completed a multi-disciplinary Masters of Science in Strategic Leadership towards Sustainability (affiliated with the Natural Step Foundation). Adrianne is passionate about systems change, participatory leadership and the interdependence of environmental and social sustainability.
Alejandra Bosch is a Land Sector Associate for the Greenhouse Gas Protocol. She supports the development and implementation of the GHG Protocol Land Sector and Removals Guidance, by coordinating the process with stakeholders and developing trainings, tools and resources to support inventory accounting. She has previous experience in developing the forest and trees sector of the GHG inventory for cities in Latin America, as well as strengthening Green Infrastructure, Natural Capital, Biodiversity and Urban Development projects and strategies for Latin American cities and countries. Alejandra holds a B. A. in Architecture with a focus on Sustainable Urban Design from the Universidad Iberoamericana, and a B. A. in Sociology from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. Alejandra lives in Mexico City.

Dr. Bassen, a globally recognized academic and expert on corporate governance and sustainability reporting, is professor of Capital Markets and Management of the Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences at the University of Hamburg. He serves as a member of the German Advisory Council of Global Change (WBGU) and the EU's EFRAG Sustainability Reporting Board, as well as on several advisory committees on sustainable finance. Alex is also an Honorary Research Associate at the University of Oxford's Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment, Visiting Professor at the Hong Kong Baptist University and the University of Reading.

Allison (Alley) Leach is the Corporate Standard Associate for the Greenhouse Gas Protocol at the World Resources Institute's Climate Program. She supports the process to update the existing Corporate Standard and to develop new guidance.
Prior to joining WRI, Alley worked on carbon and nitrogen footprint tool development, education, and training at the University of New Hampshire Sustainability Institute. She was a developer of SIMAP (unhsimap.org), a campus carbon and nitrogen footprint tool hosted by the UNH Sustainability Institute. Alley led the research, new development, intern recruitment and support, outreach, and user support for SIMAP. She was also an instructor for two greenhouse gas accounting training programs at UNH: An experiential learning undergraduate course called the Climate Action Clinic and a professional development course called the Carbon Footprinting Certificate.
As a developer of personal and organization-level nitrogen footprint models, Alley is also an active member of the international nitrogen research community. She holds a Ph.D. in Natural Resources and Environmental Studies from the University of New Hampshire and a B.S. and M.S. in Environmental Sciences from the University of Virginia. In her free time, she enjoys reading, gardening, cooking, and spending time with her husband, cat, and dog.

Amir Safaei leads the GHG Protocol support services team, overseeing e-learning, technical support, and review services. Amir is also part of the team developing the Land Sector and Removals Standard and accompanying Guidance.
Prior to joining GHG Protocol and World Business Council for Sustainable Development, Amir led the Sustainable Recycle Industries Program component A, where he coordinated an international coalition to collect and provide several regions (Asia, Latin America, Africa, Europe) with the capacity and data pools required for environmental reporting including GHG reporting at national and corporate levels.
Amir holds an MBA from the university of Glasgow and Ph.D. in Sustainable Energy systems from the university of Coimbra in Portugal and Massachusetts institute of Technology in USA.

Ashley Junger is a Communications Specialist, working on WRI's Greenhouse Gas Protocol. She works to support the communication of main milestones in GHG Protocol's standards update process through digital marketing and team member coordination. Prior to joining WRI, Ashley worked as a Grants & Multimedia Manager for the environmental non-profit Earthwatch Institute and as a Managing Editor for the radio show Possibly.
As a Project Specialist for the GHG Protocol team, Bryanna West provides operational support across project areas. Bryanna holds a M.A. in International Relations with a focus on Development and Peacebuilding from the University of Birmingham, as well as a B.A. in Political Science with a focus on International Development from Portland State University. Bryanna's passion lies at the intersection of climate and conflict issues.
Prior to joining WRI, Bryanna worked in several different administrative and project coordination roles in state government and private companies. Bryanna lives in Washington, DC and enjoys music, fiction novels (particularly fantasy), and writing.

Chelsea Gillis is a Senior Associate Scope 2 at WBCSD, supporting the research and stakeholder process to revise and update the GHG Protocol Scope 2 Guidance.
Before joining the GHG Protocol secretariat in January 2024, Chelsea worked for the Australian government where she supported organisations to measure their GHG emissions, implement emission reduction strategies and transparently disclose their emissions impact. She also advised on updates to the Scope 2 accounting framework used across Australian government GHG emissions reporting programs. Chelsea is specialised in sustainable business management and spent the early years of her career advising corporates on how to improve social and environmental conditions across their value chain through the Fairtrade certification system. Chelsea holds a MA in International Sustainable Tourism Management and a BA in International Studies. She has recently relocated from Canberra, Australia to Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

Christine Pascual is a Learning Program Lead in the Greenhouse Gas Protocol program. She manages the eLearning program of the GHG Protocol and ensures a positive learning experience for organizations and individuals.
Before joining WRI, Christine worked as a learning consultant and designer in various industries including higher education, biotechnology, and software. She specializes in assessing learning needs, designing learning programs, and evaluating program success.
Christine lives in San Diego with her husband, Francis, and two cats, Jelly Bean and Tuna. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, reading, and playing video games.
Claire recently completed a Master's degree at Columbia University, studying Environmental Policy with a specific focus on the nature - climate nexus. She previously worked at the World Business Council for Sustainable Development, on framework development for nature restoration and regenerative agriculture, and at the International Sustainability Standards Board on climate-related nature risks. In her free time, Claire enjoys reading and exploring the outdoors. She is looking forward to working on the GHGP's scope 3 team and getting to know her colleagues throughout WRI.

Claudia is a Project Coordinator for the Greenhouse Gas Protocol in WRI's Climate Program. She works to provide key support to the GHG Protocol Director and Project Managers, as well as assist with financial and administrative program operations. Prior to joining WRI, Claudia worked as a customer service specialist, floral designer, and executive assistant. She held staff positions at J. Morris Flowers, a boutique floral shop and full-service wedding design studio and Capital City Church, a non-denominational ministry.
Claudia holds a B.A. from the University of Virginia, where she double majored in Economics and Music. In her free time, Claudia enjoys playing tennis, salsa and bachata dancing, and exploring coffee shops in the D.C. area - she's always on the search for the next spot!

Craig Hanson is the Managing Director for Programs at World Resources Institute. In this role, he is responsible for ensuring WRI's programs and centers catalyze the systemic transformations necessary for a just and sustainable transition to a net zero world.
While a program director at WRI from 2008-2022, Craig co-developed a number of leading initiatives, including Global Forest Watch, the Global Restoration Initiative, the Forest Legality Alliance, the Food Loss and Waste Protocol, Champions 12.3, the Better Buying Lab, Resource Watch, the Food and Land Use Coalition, Cities4Forests and the Ocean initiative.
When Craig joined WRI in 2002, he managed the Green Power Market Development Group, a coalition of a dozen Fortune 500 companies that helped pioneer corporate energy markets in the United States. This initiative won a U.S. EPA Innovation Award in 2004.

Danny Cullenward is an economist and lawyer focused on the scientific integrity of climate policy. He is the co-author of Making Climate Policy Work (with David G. Victor), a book about the political economy of carbon markets. Dr. Cullenward is a Senior Fellow with the Kleinman Center for Energy Policy at the University of Pennsylvania, a Senior Fellow with the Institute for Responsible Carbon Removal at American University, and the Vice Chair of California's Independent Emissions Market Advisory Committee. He previously held research and teaching appointments at UC Berkeley, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, the Carnegie Institution for Science, and Stanford University. He earned his JD and PhD in Environment and Resources from Stanford University.

David Burns is the Director of Governance at Greenhouse Gas Protocol, where he oversees the Protocol's new multi-stakeholder governance model. He previously served as acting Chief of Staff for GHG Protocol. Prior to joining GHG Protocol, David was the global policy lead for natural climate solutions at World Resources Institute (WRI), where he focused on the use of nature to enhance national and corporate climate ambition, including via the responsible use of market mechanisms.
Before joining WRI, David served as a Senior Manager with the National Wildlife Federation, where his work centered on eliminating deforestation and human rights abuses from the production of globally traded agricultural commodities like palm oil, soy, and cattle products. He previously consulted for the World Bank and Climate Focus, specializing in REDD+, carbon markets, and land-use policy.
David holds a Master of Environmental Management from the Yale School of Forestry (now Yale School of the Environment) and a B.A. from Bates College. He is based in Washington, DC.

David Rich is a Deputy Director in the Climate Program at the World Resources Institute. He focuses on greenhouse gas emissions measurement and reporting, including developing Greenhouse Gas Protocol standards for climate change policies, mitigation goals, corporate value chain (scope 3) emissions, and guidance for NDC accounting, sustainable development impact assessment, and mandatory GHG reporting.

Dominic Kailashnath Waughray is Executive Vice President (EVP) and a member of the Leadership Team (LT) at the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), based in Geneva Switzerland.
Dominic joined WBCSD in October 2021.
In his role as EVP, Dominic leads the Climate, Nature and Tackling Inequality Imperatives as part of WBCSD's strategy.
Working closely with WBCSD Member companies, he focuses on building, scaling and accelerating collaborative business solutions that: - reduce greenhouse gas emissions and mainstream climate change adaptation; - improve corporate accountability for decarbonization; - scale corporate action to become nature positive; grow high integrity investments in nature based solutions; - and tackle rising inequality. Dominic also has responsibility for WBCSD's policy and advocacy and takes an active role in engaging companies from key emerging economies such as Brazil, China and India into WBCSD activities. Elliott is a Scope 2 Manager, supporting the process to revise and update the Scope 2 Guidance. Elliott is a sustainability professional and greenhouse gas accounting expert with a decade of experience in the field. Prior to joining WRI, Elliott was an Associate Director at Anthesis Group where he helped corporates conduct greenhouse gas inventories, set Science Based Targets, procure renewable energy, and implement emission reduction strategies. Elliott holds an MBA in Sustainable Solutions from Presidio Graduate School and a BA in Environmental Studies and Political Science from Tufts University. Elliott lives in Oakland, CA, where he enjoys cycling, surfing, and long walks with his dog Georgie.

Geraldine Matchett, a Swiss, British and French citizen, holds a Master's in Sustainable Development from the University of Cambridge, a Bachelor's in Geography from Reading University and is a Chartered Accountant. Up until September 2023, Geraldine was Co-CEO and CFO of dsm-firmenich (formerly Royal DSM) and served as Group CFO for the company from 2014 to 2019. Prior to DSM, Geraldine was Group CFO and member of the Operations Council of the SGS Group. Today Geraldine is non-executive director of ABB, Nestlé and Swiss Re. She is also a board member of FCLTGlobal, and member of the Foundation Board of IMD Business School.

Iain Hunt manages the process to revise and develop additional guidance for the Greenhouse Gas Protocol Corporate Standard as part of the World Resources Institute's Climate Program.
Prior to joining WRI, Iain worked as an educator, researcher and program manager for Villanova University's Sustainable Engineering Program. As part of his role, Iain led industry-sponsored project collaborations, advising teams of graduate students in supporting partner organizations' GHG management and reporting programs. Iain also developed a new graduate course in GHG accounting and the application of GHG Protocol Standards, a course he continues to teach in an adjunct professor role.
Iain has also worked in the international development sector, as a Peace Corps Volunteer and NGO program manager. He's lived and worked in Jamaica, the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua, and has supported projects in several countries in Latin America and Africa.
Iain holds an MS in Sustainable Engineering from Villanova University and a BS from the Colorado School of Mines. He is currently based in Philadelphia with his wife Chelsea and their little dog.

Keil Corey is the Greenhouse Gas Protocol Technical Support and Training Lead. In this role, he helps companies and organizations worldwide develop greenhouse gas inventories following Greenhouse Gas Protocol standards to measure and reduce their emissions.
Prior to joining WRI, Keil worked as a consultant helping companies measure and report their carbon footprint, led ESG research and analysis, and is a founding member and advisor for a Vermont-based pre-professional soccer club whose mission is to advance environmental justice through soccer and in the local community.
Keil holds a Master's degree in Business Administration with a focus on sustainable innovation from the University of Vermont's Grossman School of Business and a B.A. from Skidmore College.
Kevin Kurkul is the Data Lead for Climate Action & Data for WRI United States. He supports WRI United States' work with the Global Covenant of Mayors, leading efforts to develop city-level inventory data for an online portal.
Before joining WRI, Kevin worked on GHG mitigation and sustainability projects at ICF. He developed the CLEER Tool and Protocol, an online data tool and GHG accounting protocol to help the U.S. Agency for International Development estimate the GHG impacts of their clean energy support around the world. He also contributed to the development of the U.S. national GHG inventory for the EPA.
Kevin holds a Masters of Environmental Management from Duke University, and a Bachelors of Arts in Astronomy/Physics and Economics from Colgate University.

Working with the secretariat team from WRI and WBCSD, Kyla supports the research and stakeholder process to revise the GHG Protocol Scope 2 Guidance.
Prior to joining WRI, Kyla worked with the Clean Energy Buyers Association (CEBA) and Clean Energy Buyers Institute (CEBI) to support the Next Generation Carbon-Free Electricity Procurement Initiative, a philanthropic research initiative convening market system stakeholders, including institutional energy customers, energy attribute certificate registries and issuing bodies, leadership recognition and goal-setting organizations, and greenhouse gas accounting standards bodies, to investigate the various market system updates needed to enable a broader range of clean electricity procurement options that optimize the systemic decarbonization impact of energy buyers' procurement decisions. Prior to her work with CEBA and CEBI, Kyla served as an EDF Climate Corps Fellow at PepsiCo, analyzing its CDP Supply Chain data to develop supplier engagement action plans for reducing PepsiCo's scope 3 emissions.
Kyla holds a Master of Science in Sustainability Management from Columbia University where she focused on Life-Cycle Assessment and Clean Energy Project Finance. She currently resides in Washington, D.C.

Lauren is a Project Coordinator for the Greenhouse Gas Protocol in WRI's Climate Program. She supports the GHG Protocol Director and Project Managers and assists with financial and administrative program operations. Prior to joining WRI, Lauren assisted in managing four low-income weatherization grants in Maryland. She has also taught and lived throughout Southeast Asia.

Maia Kutner joined in November 2024 as WBCSD's Global Director, Greenhouse Gas Protocol. In her role she will co-lead the GHG Protocol secretariat alongside WRI's Greenhouse Gas Protocol Global Director.
Maia has over 15 years of experience working on climate change issues with organisations across the private and public sectors. She has extensive experience leading global programs and teams, building partnerships, and developing and implementing strategy.
Maia joined WBCSD from CDP, where she led two flagship programmes- Corporate Reporting and Cities. As Global Director of Cities, States and Regions, she led a team that works with over 1,200 cities, states and regions on climate measurement and reporting. Previously, as Director of Corporate Reporting, Maia led a team that developed environmental reporting metrics and guidance materials used by over 6,000 global companies, including 95% of FTSE100.
Maia has an MSc in Environmental Policy and Regulation from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), and a BA in Philosophy, Political Science and Economics from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
She lives with her family in London, UK.

Marhaennia English (Nia) is a Learning Management Specialist in the Greenhouse Gas Protocol. She will be the main point of contact for learners and administrators of the learning technology, as well as collaborating with the team on improvement initiatives.

Matt is a Senior Associate in WRI's Climate program. He leads the GHG Protocol's Land Sector and Removals team in developing guidance for quantifying greenhouse gas emissions and carbon dioxide removals from land use change, land management, bioenergy, emerging carbon dioxide removal technologies and carbon capture and storage.
Prior to joining WRI in 2019, Matt led capacity-building workshops supporting national greenhouse gas inventories in Kenya, Uganda, Papua New Guinea, Fiji and Guyana with the Coalition for Rainforest Nations. He also served as a program officer with Verra, reviewing methodologies and project documentation for international voluntary carbon markets.
Matt received a PhD in Ecology from Colorado State University, researching the climate change and soil fertility benefits of biochar soil amendments, and a BA from Yale University.

Max Jamieson is the Global Lead for Integrated Climate Action at WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities where he is responsible for developing, testing and scaling models for rapid climate action planning, multi-level climate governance, and the integration of climate priorities in city planning, financing, policy implementation and evaluation processes.
Prior to WRI, Max led C40's climate action planning unit, providing guidance and support to city governments in Africa, Europe, Latin America, North America and Asia in the development of integrated climate action plans. He was responsible for C40's GHG emissions inventory and mitigation planning work, providing technical assistance, developing guidance and resources and establishing partnerships. Max has a background in sustainable energy and climate research and consulting for municipalities, governments and regulators and the private sector.
Max holds a Masters in Environmental Technology and Energy Policy from Imperial College London and a BSc in Marine Geography, from the University of Wales, Cardiff.

Michael Doust is Director of Urban Efficiency & Climate for WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities and leads GHG Protocol's work on the Global Protocol for Community-Scale Greenhouse Gas Inventories (GPC). In his role with the Ross Center, Doust leads global programming on inclusive and integrated climate, clean air and energy planning. As a core member of the Cities Executive Team, he also helps guide the overall strategy of the program.
Doust is a climate specialist with over 15 years of experience supporting cities in Africa, China, Europe, Latin America, North America and SE Asia. He is a lead author of the Global Protocol for Community-Scale Greenhouse Gas Emission Inventories - the international standard for city-wide GHG inventories - and PAS 2070: Specification for the Assessment of GHG Emissions of a City. As chair of the Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate & Energy Data Technical Working Group, Doust led the development of the Common Reporting Framework.
Prior to joining WRI, Doust served as Director of Measurement and Planning at C40 Cities, where he was responsible for delivery of a global technical assistance program supporting inclusive and science-based climate action planning across all C40 cities. As part of this effort, his team helped to translate the Paris Agreement to city-level action and developed a wide range of knowledge products to support ambitious climate action planning in all cities.Previously Doust led a portfolio of environment projects for the Mayor of London. Doust is a Chartered Environmentalist and has Master's degrees in Environmental Management and Public Management, and a Bachelor's degree in Atmospheric and Soil Sciences.

Working with the secretariat team from WRI and WBCSD, Michael leads the stakeholder process to update the GHG Protocol Scope 2 standards. He is a senior advisor on the development of appropriate accounting solutions for inventory and intervention accounting methodologies and the establishment of guidance for implementing such methodologies in reporting programs and target-setting initiatives.
Prior to joining WRI, Michael worked with Enel North America, leading the development of Enel's market advocacy strategy for New England and New York, supporting the growth of Enel's existing and new Distributed Energy Resources, Renewable and Storage Resources, Demand Response, and Electric Vehicle Infrastructure solutions across the NY-ISO & ISO-NE wholesale markets as well as the various state regulatory agencies and related retail markets. Prior to Enel, Michael worked with Harvard University, managing wholesale and retail energy market programs as well as overseeing the University's regulatory air compliance program and GHG inventory program.
Michael earned his PhD in Chemistry from UCSD and currently lives in the Boston area with his family.

Michaela is the Mitigation Impact Accounting Manager with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol at WRI. She co-leads the market-based accounting workstream, contributing to standards development and stakeholder engagement.
Prior to joining WRI, Michaela developed carbon accounting and sustainability programs in both the carbon removal and food & beverage sectors. She has an educational background in chemical engineering and currently lives in Washington State with her dog, Ranger, and a growing flock of chickens.

Natalia is the Scope 3 Standard Manager at WBCSD, working on the updates of the Scope 3 standard and supplementary tools and documents. Prior to joining WBCSD Natalia worked as a senior consultant in Ecomatters, a Dutch sustainability consultancy, helping companies to assess environmental performance of products and organizations, communicate it to stakeholders and translate it into added value. There, her expertise covered carbon foot printing, corporate sustainability reporting and life cycle assessment.

Before joining GHG Protocol, Nia was at the Institute for Capacity Development Strategy and Evaluation at the International Monetary Fund, where she assisted global users, managed user accounts, and set up assessments and reports in their learning management system. In addition, she co-organized departmental seminars and the IMF Management Capacity Development Forum quarterly event and managed content flow and accuracy on various platforms.
Nia lives in Gaithersburg, MD, with her husband, three children, and two dogs. She is a lifelong learner and an active volunteer as ways to give back to the community. In her free time, Nia enjoys cooking, trying new restaurants, traveling, and watching foreign movies and TV shows.
Oliver James is a Land Sector Associate with WRI's GHG Protocol team. He works to inform and support the multi-stakeholder, standard-setting process for accounting and reporting of GHG emissions and removals from land-based activities.
Prior to joining WRI, Oliver worked as a researcher at the Center for Policy Research on Energy and the Environment (C-PREE) at Princeton University and the California Strategic Growth Council in the Governor's Office of California. He holds a M.S. from the Energy & Resources Group and an MPP from the Goldman School of Public Policy at the University of California, Berkeley.

Pankaj Bhatia is the Director of GHG Protocol. Pankaj is one of the leading experts and authority on the GHG Protocol standards and tools, particularly in the areas of corporate, scope 3, mitigation action and city accounting.
He launched and led the three-year global process that involved more than 2,300 stakeholders to develop the new GHG Protocol Scope 3 and Product Standard released in October 2011. He led GHG Protocol teams to develop new global standards for mitigation goals, policies and actions, the agriculture sector and cities, and to implement new GHG programs in key major economies including China, India and Brazil.
From 1998 to 2000, he was Vice President of Tata Energy & Resources Institute, a not-for-profit research organization based in Arlington, Virginia and affiliated to The Energy & Resources Institute (TERI), New Delhi, India.
From 1993 to 1998 he served TERI, New Delhi on various projects related to implementation of the Montreal Protocol in India and development of environment policy for technology transfer and capacity building in Indian industry.
He holds a Master in process engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi and a Bachelors in chemical engineering from the Institute of Technology, Banares Hindu University, Varanasi, India.

Rich is the Director for Agriculture Initiatives at WRI within the Food, Land, and Water Program. He provides strategic leadership and oversight to WRI's agriculture initiatives aimed at supporting food security and livelihoods, sustainably boosting yields, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, improving water management, and building resilience to climate change.
Since joining WRI in 2007, Rich has conducted extensive research on food systems and climate change, including for two landmark reports, the World Resources Report: Creating a Sustainable Food Future, and The Global Land Squeeze. These reports focus on solutions to meet growing demand for food and wood while protecting and restoring nature and stabilizing the climate, including improving agriculture, reducing food loss and waste, and shifting toward plant-rich diets. He has also conducted research to quantify the economic value of natural ecosystems.
Rich has collaborated with the private sector since 2016 to help food and agriculture companies set science-based targets, measure progress, and implement solutions. He was a co-inventor of Coolfood, an initiative now working with more than 60 food providers to reduce food-related greenhouse gas emissions in line with climate science. He is supporting the development of the Greenhouse Gas Protocol Land Sector and Removals Standard and was a co-author of the Science Based Targets Network Guidance for Land.
Prior to joining WRI, Rich lived in Cameroon for four years, where he served as an agroforestry extension agent with the United States Peace Corps and helped coordinate the U.S. Embassy's international development programs.
Rich holds an M.A. in International Development Studies, with concentrations in Environment and Food Security, from The George Washington University's Elliott School of International Affairs, and a B.A. from Hamilton College.

Sarah Huckins is a Communications Manager in the Climate Program. Sarah works on WRI's Greenhouse Gas Protocol and executes impactful communication strategies to help companies and organizations worldwide measure and report their greenhouse gas emissions.
Sarah has spent her career working on environmental issues across sectors, with experience at US Water Alliance, EcoPeace Middle East, and Patagonia. Sarah holds an M.A. in Strategic Communication from American University and a B.A. in International Relations from Connecticut College.
Sarah lives in Washington, D.C., and enjoys cooking, exploring the area's bike paths and spending time with her cat Ruby.

Sharon is the Operations Manager for the Greenhouse Gas Protocol where she oversees the project's operations to support the development of standards and tools to help measure, manage, report and reduce carbon emissions.
Prior to joining GHG Protocol, Sharon served as a Senior Program Manager for USAID Global Health technical support as well as the Partnerships Manager for WRI's P4G program, which aims to develop and accelerate innovative public-private partnerships in 5 key SDGs. Before that, Sharon managed wildlife conservation NGOs in Southeast Asia and the UK with a focus on developing sustainable solutions to shared habitats.
Sharon holds a Masters degree in Primate Conservation from Oxford Brookes University as well as a Bachelors in Biological Sciences from the State University of New York at Geneseo. She is currently based in the Washington D.C. area.
