When my two children graduated from college and moved out on their own, they didn't think they needed landlines. Of course, being part of an older generation, I found not having a landline just as odd as they found having a landline and a cell phone! I talked them into getting landlines, although I think they gave in just to appease me. I rarely hear these words come out of the mouths of my children, but the other day my daughter actually said it: "You were right, mom!" Her new puppy chewed on her cell phone while she was sleeping and destroyed it. She would have to wait for the company to send a replacement, and she was glad she had her home phone to use in the meantime. I decided to create a blog to help fill my time as an empty-nester and share my tips with everyone!...
