With GLY since 1999, Amy has managed projects in all sectors and of all sizes. This versatility is what helps her guide teams in keeping the end goal in mind while addressing day-to-day challenges and complex problem-solving. She is an alumnus of the University of Washington with a BS in Construction Management and Minor in Architecture, has served on the board of her local YMCA, and is active in NAIOP and CREW. After work, Amy chases two very active children and the lifelong task of home remodeling.

Andrea Miller

Andrea earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania before heading west. Prior to joining GLY in 2020, she spent 12 years managing projects for Seattle's leading healthcare providers, which continues to be her focus. A strong dedication to understanding client goals is paramount in Andrea's approach to her role; this approach is what makes Andrea well-known for her time management, integrity, and discipline-qualities she also brings home with her as she coaches CrossFit and raises two busy children.

Andrew Ellis

Andrew spent 14 years immersed in his original calling: Architecture. He found that the most enjoyable and rewarding moments occurred while collaborating with builders. Deciding to blend two passions together-design and construction-Andrew now leverages robust VDC tools to better understand, communicate, and help execute a project's design intent. Simply put, he constructs the building virtually to iron out any wrinkles before it's built in the field. Outside the office, Andrew can't get enough of the mountains. The numbers speak for themselves. He's made his way to the summit of Mount Rainier via 16 different routes!

Anita Phonexayphova

Anita began her career in architecture and has since migrated to the construction world where she enjoys collaborating with design teams and subcontractors to work through constructability issues while achieving design intent. She employs advanced technologies throughout a project's lifecycle from early design estimates to virtual project handover and closeout. Anita also supports our project teams by coordinating MEP and running clash detection.

Ben honed his exceptional leadership skills during his first calling as a high school English teacher, coach, and director of admissions. Patient, communicative, and adaptable to change, the AEC industry scored big when he decided to switch gears and earn another degree, this time in Civil Engineering. Progressing from Project Engineer to Senior Project Manager at GLY, he continues to leverage his diverse background-listening intently to clients and teammates prior to making critical decisions. Hailing from Western New York, where cows outnumber residents, Ben remains a loyal Buffalo sports fan-Go Sabres and Bills!

Benji Dimer

Bill DeJarlais - EVP

Bill brings over 30 years of experience to his role as a principal and shareholder of GLY. He specializes in fostering progressive team-build environments to deliver scalable projects in a variety of markets. Bill leverages architectural training, virtual design and construction knowledge, and a passion for technology to help create efficient delivery. He adds great value to his projects through a deep understanding of overall cost management. Project scheduling, site logistics, quality control, subcontractor relationships and sustainability. When he's not cycling, Bill enjoys serving on the Board of the Bellevue Schools Foundation and coaching young distance runners for Cascade Striders.

Brad Hughes

Brad is a licensed Civil Engineer with a BSCE from Gonzaga University, but after a few years working in that discipline in Denver, he returned to the PNW to earn a Construction Management certificate from the University of Washington and joined GLY in 2008. His technical engineering skills continue to serve him well in his role as a Senior Project Engineer. He excels in coordinating structural work and large tenant build-outs for healthcare, residential, hospitality, and office high-rise projects. Brad and his family spend their leisure time exploring the world and tackling daunting athletic challenges.

Brian Sandall

Brian's 30+ year career includes many of GLY's most recognizable healthcare projects. He will do whatever it takes to keep clients happy and is known to keep a stash of chocolate hard hats on hand for hospital staff just in case. If you've ever met Brian, you know he operates under the Golden Rule every single day, making him a favorite to work with. Brian spends many weekends looking for a thrill-from riding off road on the dunes with his wife and son to taking flight lessons-with no plans to slow down any time soon.

Bryan Haakenson

A Northwest native who embodies every aspect of GLY's collaborative, community-centered approach, Bryan provides leadership on projects in the heart of thriving residential, educational, and corporate campuses that are fully occupied during construction. His unique skills, personality, and temperament make him ideally suited to work within occupied settings to safely and expediently deliver new construction nestled in with renovated spaces. Bryan oversees GLY's Sustainability Advocacy Group and helps identify and implement strategies that reduce GLY's operational carbon footprint. He and his family enjoy all the outdoor activities the PNW has to offer, including boating in the summer and skiing in the winter.

Bryce Engen

Bryce Engen MEP+CX Manager LEED AP BD+C, BCXA CCP Bryce is a mechanical systems and commissioning expert and a self-described Swiss army knife. He gets involved during preconstruction assisting with MEP scopes of work. During construction, he becomes hyper focused on QA/QC processes and procedures. On the back end of the job he develops closeout and inspection schedules and plans for startup and commissioning. He is a passionate alumnus of Washington State University, where he studied Construction Management, and minored in Business. His wife, two kids, two dogs, and Macaw parrot keep life busy but fun. Their latest achievement? Building a house together!

Bryce Taylor

Always on the go, Bryce is involved in numerous industry organizations, extraordinary community service efforts, and he manages some of GLY's larger projects. Bryce focuses on relationships, costs, and schedules-moving the team forward at a faster rate while keeping a watchful eye on design intent, sustainability, and life cycle goals. Along with his wife and son, he enjoys skiing, biking, searching for new and unusual places.

Cameron Cole

A Bellevue native, Cameron built the foundation for his career through several internships at GLY and earning a BS in Construction Management from Weber State University. His project experience thus far has focused on downtown Bellevue, including the Lincoln Square Expansion and West Main mixed use development. Off the jobsite, he's an avid outdoorsman - hunting, fishing, skiing, and backpacking - and volunteering as a member of the King County Search and Rescue team. He recently stepped up to serve on the Coal Creek YMCA board of advisors.

Outside the office, you'll find Cassie hiking, exploring the city, and when the sun comes out, boating on Lake Washington-all with her husband and pups by her side.

Dan Frye

Dan is GLY's go-to guy for anything and everything relating to site surveys and layout. As a consummate team player and expert on layout technology, Dan is responsible for not only planning and coordinating project needs with superintendents, but also for training and educating the GLY Layout Crew and helping The Yard with long range equipment planning. When he's not out in the field, Dan is 100% family man, spending as much time with his wife and kids as he can.

Dana Johnson

Capitalizing on her product design/engineering and construction management background, Dana has successfully completed projects throughout California, Hawaii, Idaho, Oregon and Washington in her nearly 20 years in the construction industry. Her primary focus at GLY is managing alternative delivery projects across diverse sectors in the Northwest. Her deep enthusiasm for design-build delivery arises from first-hand experience and consistent recognition of its advantages. You might be surprised to learn that not only is Dana a twin herself, she has also has twin children! She's an avid traveler who's visited 19 countries and 49 of the 50 states.

Danielle Sessler

Construction was always part of the plan for Northwest native Danielle, having grown up in a family that owned a contracting business. She took a few detours first, earning a BFA in Metalsmithing and Art History from Central Washington University and working as a Senior Estimator focused on honing her preconstruction services skills. When she landed at GLY in 2013, we quickly recognized her background would be perfect for Design-Build projects. Outside of work, Danielle enjoys hiking, bouldering, climbing-and collecting "odd things that most people scratch their heads over."

Dave has a background in both field supervision and construction management, a rarity that has resulted in a very loyal client base. He leads GLY's Interiors | Special Projects division with enthusiasm , focusing exclusively on clients with specialized project needs-usually in response to change in the marketplace, in their business, or in supporting operations. He strongly identifies with GLY's value of Invest in Each other and has a passion for mentoring we think is pretty amazing. Construction aside, Dave is first and foremost a family man devoted to his wife and daughters.

Dennis Sizemore

Dennis is the go-to guy on anything and everything concrete. At age 15, he poured and finished driveways, patios, and shop slabs. When he started at GLY at 18, he was the youngest journeyman in his union. Today, he's a concrete master who oversees projects up to one million square feet. His favorite aspect of the job is the constant change of scenery since he's not on one single project for an extensive amount of time. While concrete is a big part of Dennis's life, he makes plenty of room for his kids, fishing, hiking, and visiting Kauai, his happy place.

Donovan Mabbott

Final: Over the last 30 years, Donovan's appreciation for quality craftsmanship combined with his natural ability to manage the many moving parts and pieces of a construction jobsite from start to finish has garnered trust and respect from GLY employees, trade partners, and clients. From interior build-outs to full campus developments, he approaches each project by tapping into each team member's strengths, talents, and skillsets to develop a thoughtful plan-together. Witnessing that plan unfold successfully is his favorite part of his job. On the home front, there is never a dull moment with his four kids, granddaughter, and three dogs-each bringing joy to the family with their own unique personalities. Skylar, the littlest pup, runs the pack.

Elie feels at home taking leadership on her jobsites, working with a team-first attitude, taking pride in the lasting relationships she builds with her colleagues, and ensuring everyone knows the great value of their contributions. Being a firm believer of "work smarter, not harder"-Elie addresses problems critically, always searching for ways to improved solutions and streamline processes through LEAN principles to reduce labor while simultaneously improving quality and minimizing errors. You can also find Elie feeling very much at home on skiis, her standup paddleboarding, and hiking + backpacking on the weekends.

Erik Bedell

Erik uses his extensive engineering background to assist with integrating mechanical systems into new and existing buildings. With many years of designing mechanical systems under his belt, he's proven to be an invaluable asset at GLY-specializing in complex commercial, industrial, medical and biotech projects. Erik previously lived in Colorado, where he developed an obsession for mountain biking. Now racing competitively, he and his family own 12 bikes, living the principle that the correct amount of bikes to own is n+1, with n being the amount of bikes they currently own.

Garrick Hughes

Since joining GLY in 2007, Garrick's led construction to support the growth of multiple prominent tech companies, as well as high rise build outs and boutique historic re-developments. Managing complex projects and working with a wide spectrum of people and multi-disciplinary firms to meet client commitments and expectations set years in advance of project completion continues to be the focus of his career. Garrick holds an MBA in Finance from Seattle University as well as a BS in Construction Management from WSU, and a Commercial Real Estate Certificate from UW. He became a firm partner in 2019. A Northwest Native, Garrick's involved in several local community and professional organizations, and never misses an opportunity for an outdoor adventure, exploring mountains with his wife, two daughters, and son.

As a second generation carpenter, Garth turned out to be a Jr. in more ways than one. Today Garth is a hard-working Superintendent who enjoys building challenges across sectors, from housing to commercial construction. Garth takes a very thorough, caring approach to getting things done on his projects, and enjoys the outdoor life in his spare time-especially riding dirt bikes, camping or doing anything on or near the water.

Jeff has award-winning attention to detail-literally-he was once recognized for creating the longest RFI ever written by a Project Engineer. Despite a background in design, which includes a BA in Architectural Studies from the University of Washington, Jeff discovered an organizer and planner role fit him best, so he turned his focus to managing the construction process. He joined GLY in 2006, applying his dual strengths in design and project management to our healthcare and life science projects. Away from work, Jeff enjoys playing basketball, running, and hiking with his family.

A Washington native with a Sociology degree from Washington State University, Jesus left the real estate industry for a career in construction. He loves all things media: film, TV, video games, and music. He makes a point of attending at least five concerts every year! Jesus says his favorite part of the job is observing how everyone works together to create amazing buildings in the Puget Sound Region.

With 33 years in healthcare and life science facility planning and construction, Jim is a market leader, specializing in aligning the missions and operations of health system providers and biomedical pioneers with their built environments. A principal since 2003, he confidently guides our in-house team of experts to deliver the technically challenging, complex spaces that support this critical work in our community. Some of his notable major building projects include the new 200,000 square foot clinic expansion for Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in South Lake Union, and both new construction and major renovations for Overlake Medical Center & Clinics on the Eastside. Jim is a strong advocate for progressive approaches, and enjoys partnering with multi-disciplinary teams to maximize our clients' investments in their facilities. He's served on multiple boards and professional committees focused on continuous education and advancing safety and operational excellence in the construction industry.

Joaquin Aburto

Joe Bonacci - CFO

When Joe joined GLY in 2016 as Director of Finance, he brought 15+ years of industry experience with him, along with a refreshing angle on the ideas of service, integrity, and value. In late 2018 he was named CFO. In this role he supports GLY's ongoing pursuit of positive development and champions new technology to improve processes. A Chicago native, Joe still roots for the Cubs but is more likely to be seen on the soccer field or swimming bleachers cheering for his three daughters.

John Schimke

Jon attributes his appreciation of craft and hard work to working as a carpenter for a Spokane-based general contractor while earning a BS in Construction Management from Washington State University. Since joining GLY in 1999, he's honed his expertise as a healthcare and high-tech office project manager and team builder. When he's not piecing together complex logistics plans, you'll find Jon cheering on the Seattle Sounders or casting a line. If he could talk his wife into selling everything and living in a trailer down by the river, he'd be there already.

A generous mentor and creative thinker, Kevin gets involved to guide and directly support estimating efforts on varied and complex projects at GLY.

Kyle Applebury

A licensed Structural Engineer whose background includes everything from heavy civil construction projects to mixed use developments, Kyle joined GLY in 2015 bringing seven years of experience designing concrete structures. He earned both a BS and MS in Civil Engineering from Montana State University-Bozeman and is a longtime volunteer in the ACE Mentor Program. Outside of the office, when he's not on the golf course begging for mulligans and gimmes, Kyle and his better half, Holly, spend their time traveling or cycling-often combining the two if possible!

Kyle Morgan

Kyle joined the GLY team immediately after earning a BS in Construction Management from the University of Washington in 2006. His honesty and affability have been a mainstay, and he takes a forthright approach to resolving issues and ensuring client satisfaction. After all these years, he still looks forward the unique challenges that come with each individual project and appreciates that no two days are ever alike. While things keep him on his toes at the jobsite, Kyle unwinds by listening to his favorite CDs and records or going to live concerts. Music just sounds better when it's an experience!

A self-described thinker, linker, and obstacle shrinker, Melanie likes to approach her work with these three questions: Who is our audience? What do they need? How can we reach them and develop trust?

Mike Martel

Mike joined GLY in 2013 as a Project Engineer and has steadily increased his responsibilities, becoming a Project Manager in 2020. That's just one example of Mike's passion for continuous learning-and sharing with his teammates. He's especially versed in the latest developments in 3D modeling and navigating the complex processes of advanced BIM visualization. After a long week at work, Mike burns off steam by running, cycling, and skiing.

Monty Kilcup

Truly a developer's contractor, Monty brings tremendous energy and ingenuity to his clients. He built his career at GLY by delivering creative, value-based preconstruction services, and accurate, timely estimating based on his deep knowledge of current market unit pricing and trends in commodity pricing. Monty works closely with an agile group of construction management, design, and craft professionals who flex to the ever-evolving needs of a project. He is a specialist in the occupied environment, always thinking outside project confines to develop innovative solutions.

Noah started his construction career in 2007 first as a Laborer and then a Finish Carpenter before earning a BS in Construction Management from Washington State University. He also holds a Real Estate Development Certificate from the University of Washington. After joining GLY in 2014, he worked primarily on commercial office projects before becoming a Project Manager on our Interiors + Special Projects team [ISP]. His unique background gives him the ability to understand every aspect of a project regardless of size or scope. He is always up for a challenge-just ask him about his latest extreme ironing endeavor.

Peter Abeyta

Reed McNulty

Ever wonder if a Superintendent gets tired of scheduling? Just ask Reed! After more than 37 years in the industry, he still loves solving each new puzzle. A GLY veteran with a deep resume, he's done it all from high-tech office buildings to heavy site civil work-mentoring up-and-coming field supervisors along the way. Outside the jobsite, he works on his collection of muscle cars and unwinds in the outdoors with fishing and hunting.

René Gutierrez

René's background in construction management and architecture provide her with a fluency in both languages, adding value to each of her projects through this diverse perspective and the ability to see the bigger picture. She is highly detail-oriented, an eager learner, and always emphasizes the importance of staying in close communication. After work, you can find René hiking, painting or drawing, or playing softball and flag football.

Ryan Thompson

Sarah Cunningham

As a field supervisor, Sarah is known for always thinking ahead and looking out for everyone's best interest. She enjoys the camaraderie on the jobsite and the pride that comes from persevering and building something together. A recent project of Sarah's featured a major geothermal energy system, and she used that experience to teach others at GLY about geothermal energy and how different types of systems can be used. Her hobbies include hiking, cycling, gardening, and traveling the world every chance she gets. But her favorite thing? Golden Retrievers!

Scott Myatich

With a background in architectural design and modeling, Scott brings a specialized expertise to GLY in the role of Design Manager. He not only ensures GLY's projects are built with an increased level of accuracy and efficiency, but he educates fellow employees in the benefits and applications of advanced technologies. Don't let his humble demeanor fool you; Scott's qualifications are many-from a BA in Architecture from Miami University to guest speaker at the International BILT Conferences. Outside of work, Scott coaches his kids' lacrosse team and revisits his East Coast roots by cheering for the Steelers and Penguins.

Spencer Eble

Project teams benefit from Spencer's hit-the-ground-running attitude and determination in finding the best solutions for the task at hand. His natural ability to facilitate a collaborative environment by asking questions and bouncing ideas off team members often results in creative solutions for the tasks at hand. He enjoys applying many of the same concepts to parenting, as he raises his young daughter with his wife Taylor.

Stephen is one of our Interiors + Special Projects [ISP] team leaders, overseeing renovation and tenant improvement work in multiple market sectors. He is an ASHE Certified Healthcare Constructor and holds a BS in Construction Management from Central Washington University. With GLY since 2018, he is known for his high energy and ability to juggle multiple commitments with ease while still making time to mentor and guide others. He is an active member of the Puyallup community who enjoys spending time with family exploring the outdoors.

Steve Hoffmann - President

Steve feels at home with just about everyone. In his view, working with field crews, subs, engineers, architects, clients and "our first-class teams" makes each day unique. His 25+ years with GLY encompasses a wide range of market sectors, from fast-paced, ground-up construction of new office buildings to roadway and utility projects, garage structures, and challenging phased renovation work for educational facilities. He delivers predictable results every time and cultivates a strong team atmosphere focused on quality and superb customer service. Besides loving his job, he's an inspiring volunteer, mentor, football fan, outdoorsman and family man.

Steven Bradshaw

Steven was on the move for much of his childhood. Born in Germany and raised in Texas, Colorado, Wyoming, and Washington, Steven learned to embrace new environments early on. He now thrives on meeting new people, leveraging the diversity among various backgrounds, and working together to find solutions. Steven earned a BS in Construction Management from Washington State University and now looks for opportunities to mentor college and high school students interested in a similar educational and career path. When the sun breaks through, he hops on his bike, works in the yard, plays football, and tries to improve his golf game.

Tess Wakasugi-Don

Tess has built her career at GLY, from humble beginnings as an intern, advancing steadily to a promotion in 2019 to firm principal. She is a dedicated, selfless leader who pays careful attention to every project's specific vision, technical complexities, and goals. Tess is very effective at coordinating the efforts of design professionals, construction teams, corporate stakeholders, and owners while integrating various service providers into project delivery. She chairs GLY's internal DEI committee, which focuses on social equity education, employee engagement, and strategies to improve diversity and inclusion on GLY's projects. Her three young sons inspire her daily to feel empowered, to work hard, and to make time for fun.

Tim Campbell

Tim has been with GLY since 2004 and has a hand in a variety of market sectors, but plays a key role in the firm's residential and mixed-use projects. With experience in a wide range of project types, he adapts quickly to evolving trends and changing needs. On each project, Tim facilitates unique and team-oriented solutions to challenges that support the success of the entire team-owner, architect, tenant, and neighborhood, making him a trusted and respected Principal and Senior Project Manager whose industry relationships continue well beyond project completion. Tim's skills and collaborative approach serve him well as a father of two daughters.

Tim Grant

Tim spent the first part of his career as a professional structural engineer before arriving at GLY in 2011. He's since completed projects in an array of markets, from healthcare to hospitality, and a long list of high tech corporate campus facilities. On his current project, the University District Station Building, Tim and team are building a 13-story office tower atop Sound Transit's light rail station at NE 45th St and Brooklyn Ave. A former member of the UW track team, Tim traded in his running shoes for hiking boots, and enjoys exploring PNW trails with his wife and two sons.

Tracey Swirski

Tracey and her four siblings spent their childhood on the family's 40-foot sailboat, fueling her adventurous nature and love of the outdoors. While still in her teens, she completed a two-year building trades course through the North Olympic Peninsula Skills Center, a hands-on experience that led her to pursue a BS in Construction Management from Washington State University. Tracey is a member of GLY's Microsoft special projects team, where she appreciates working at all scales of a project. She is a graduate of the Young Executive Program through the Bellevue Chamber of Commerce.

Trevor Lunde

Trevor is an industry innovator with over 22 years of experience devoted to creating synergy between architectural design and technical construction. Trevor leads strategic business planning for the company's Virtual Design and Construction [VDC] and technology efforts and provides companywide training on GLY delivery philosophy and VDC process. Having been both a project architect and a construction manager, he identifies valuable opportunities for coordination and collaboration amongst designers, engineers, and tradespeople. Trevor respects each discipline's individual process and expertise while ensuring constructability. Trevor's downtime is spent playing with his kids or fishing.

Troy Alexander

Troy's been managing construction projects in the Pacific Northwest since 2000 and is one of our Interiors + Special Projects [ISP] team leaders. He specializes in unique renovation and improvement work in a variety of market sectors and has a long history of successfully delivering public agency projects using Job Order Contracting [JOC]. Troy enjoys collaborating with professionals of various disciplines to get fast-track projects started and completed on time. Outside of work, Troy enjoys lots of family time, good music, trying a new local beer, and cheering on his favorite sports team.
