Alexis graduated from Thomas College with a bachelor's degree in sport management in 2020 and a master's in business administration (MBA) in 2021. Alexis was a four-year member of the Thomas College Field Hockey team and was a captain her senior season. She has passed her Series 7 and 66 exams, and holds these securities registrations with LPL Financial. She grew up in Freedom, Maine, and currently resides in Waterville, Maine. Alexis enjoys skiing, mountain biking, waterskiing, and playing guitar in her free time.
Bert Languet has worked in the field of financial services since 1989, having worked at State Street Bank (Boston), Waddell and Reed (Boston Area), and The Centennial Group (Lansing, Michigan) prior to moving home to Maine in 1996 when Golden Pond opened its doors. He holds a B.A. from Colby College, an M.B.A. from Thomas College and is a Certified Financial Planner Practitioner (CFP®). Bert has been published in the Journal of Financial Planning, Maine Seniors, and wrote a monthly column on Socially Responsible Investing for the former Kennebec Business Monthly. He currently serves as president of the Belgrade Lakes Association and is a past president of the Central Maine Youth Hockey Association and the Augusta Kiwanis Club. He has also served on the boards of the Maine Children's Home, Waterville Opera House, Kennebec Valley Chamber of Commerce, and Maine Center for Public Interest Reporting. Bert's favorite volunteer projects have been the playgrounds at the Maine General Medical Center and the Mid-Maine Homeless Shelter. He built and maintained an outdoor ice rink at the Alfond Youth Center for several years and was recognized as the "Outstanding Business Professional" by the Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce in 2012*and the REM "Volunteer of the Year" for the Alfond Youth Center in 2013.Bert has been and continues to be a key figure in the Maine Pond Hockey Classic which benefits the Alfond Youth Center where he is known as the "Iceman" for building and maintaining the rinks on Messalonskee Lake at the Snow Pond Center for the Arts. Bert and his wife, Sara, have been married since 1993 and have three children: Jose', Gabriela, and Joshua. In addition to his volunteer activities, he enjoys fly fishing, snowmobiling, ice fishing, and spending time at his camp in Lily Bay on Moosehead Lake and his pontoon boat on Great Pond.
Brian founded the firm in 1996 and currently serves as the managing director and chief investment officer. A graduate of Thomas College, he has been a financial adviser since 1989. He specializes in comprehensive multi-generational wealth management for affluent families.
Most recently, he was named to the Forbes Best in State Wealth Advisors list for Maine* and to LPL's Executive Council for the third consecutive year.** In 2006, he was honored as the Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce Business Person of the Year.***
He currently serves on the boards of the Maine Community Foundation and Good Will Hinckley. In addition, he is the Vice President of the Alfond Youth and Community Center Founder's Club and serves on the Investment Advisory Committee for Jobs for Maine Graduates.
He has previously served on the boards of the Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce, the Belgrade Lakes Association and the Inland Hospital Foundation and was the founder of the Maine Majestix Field Hockey Club in 2006.
Brian lives on McGrath Pond in Belgrade with his wife Amy and together they have three children Katie, Kristy and Jack and a granddaughter Charlotte. When not working, he enjoys boating, waterskiing, mountain biking and hosting friends and family at the lake in the summer... and skiing, snowshoeing and fat tire biking at their Sugarloaf camp in the winter.
Chelsey joined our team in the summer of 2022 as a Relationship Manager, after five years as a middle school math teacher at Messalonskee Middle School. She will continue to spend her fall afternoons at MMS coaching the girls soccer teams with her twin sister, Shawna. Chelsey has passed her SIE and is currently studying for her Series 7 exam. She grew up on Messalonskee Lake with her parents and three sisters and now owns a home in Oakland. She is passionate about connecting people and enjoys creating her podcast for teenage girls, "Light The Way," volunteering for The ShineOnCass Foundation and spending quality time with her family and friends.
Danielle joined the Golden Pond staff in 2012 as an Administrative Assistant, and in 2016 she moved into the Operations Manager position. Danielle moved to Maine 17 years ago with her husband, Joe, who resides in Albion. They have a 25-year-old daughter, Emily. Danielle enjoys taking motorcycle trips with her husband, enjoying the outdoors, and getting together with friends and family.
Katherine earned her Master of Business Administration from Husson University in 2021. She grew up in Glenburn, Maine and now lives in Detroit, Maine with her boyfriend and cat. Katherine has passed her SIE and Series 7 exam, this securities registration is held with LPL Financial. In 2018, Katherine learned how to ski, and has spent every winter since then on the mountain improving her abilities. She enjoys being outside all year long, during the summertime she likes to travel to the beach or go camping with her family.
Katie joined our firm in April 2019. Previously she worked as a Senior Investor Services Representative at Stone Coast Fund Services in Portland, Maine. Katie graduated from Boston University with a B.A. in Political Science and minor in Business Administration. Among her specialties are ESG investing and comprehensive financial planning; she achieved the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation in March 2021. Most recently, Katie has been named to the Mainebiz Nextup: 40 Under 40 list*, which recognizes young business professionals in the state of Maine. She was chair of KV Connect in 2022 and was named Emerging Leader of the Year by Central Maine Growth Council in 2021. She is also the varsity field hockey coach at Messalonskee High School. Katie loves to stay active and enjoys running, yoga and skiing, but is always ready for a relaxing day at the lake! She lives in Sidney with her husband, Zach, their daughter, Charlotte, and goldendoodle, Bodhi.
Kelly has been with us since 2015. She previously worked for the U.S. Postal System for 20 years. She is a lifelong resident of Burnham. Kelly has twin daughters, Kady and Kylie. Kady works for Eaton Peabody in Bangor, and Kylie works for Cleary Gottlieb in New York City. Kelly enjoys being "Gram Gram" to her first grandson Lennox "Leny" as well as painting, kayaking, camping and most of all photography.

Paige has been with Golden Pond since 2016. She has over 16 years of experience in customer service and 8 years in the financial industry. Paige has obtained her securities registration Series 6 and 63, held with LPL Financial. She has lived in Central Maine all her life, growing up in Sidney. Currently, she lives in Oakland with her husband Nick and daughters Akadia, Haylee and Paige. Paige enjoys being a softball, field hockey, and basketball mom, spending time with family, hunting, and fishing.
