GRATEFUL SOCIETY

I am immensely honoured and proud to be the President for the years 2024 - 2025. I am very keen in my year further to raise the profile of the Society and awareness of it. I want to ensure, and enhance, its place at the heart of the Bristol community in helping, supporting, and addressing the issues and challenges felt by older and lonely people. I hope that the hand of friendship and support which I offer, on behalf of the Grateful Society, to Bristol and its older and lonely residents, will be grasped. The Grateful Society aims to make a difference. Growing old, and it's related problems, isn't optional but loneliness can be avoided with suitable help and encouragement. Loneliness and isolation in old age gnaw away at self - esteem, confidence, and the ability to lead a fulfilling life. We cannot do our work alone. We entirely rely on donations.
