Adnan A.Razaq ALMahmood

Mr. Adnan A. Razaq ALMahmood has a Master's degree in Analysis, Design and Management of Information Systems from the London School of Economics and Political Science, London University, in the United Kingdom. He joined GPIC in January of 1989, having undergone extensive training and development both in Bahrain as well as overseas. He has held a number of senior positions during his time in GPIC, including Quality Facilitator, Procedures and Systems Superintendent, Information Technology and Knowledge Manager, and now as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer - Support. Mr. ALMahmood is a member of the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Institute of Public Administration representing the private sector and a member of the Research & Development Strategy Steering Committee for the Higher Education Council, in the Ministry of Education and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Arab Open University, Kingdom of Bahrain.

Bader Al Mansoori

Bader Al Mansoori is the Plants Operation Manager of the Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC), he directs the activities of managing and operating the plants in the complex. Since graduating with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1996, Bader has dedicated his past 27 years to self-development and modernization across various fields and departments. He has progressed well through the ranks of GPIC, holding different positions such as Mechanical Supervisor, Senior Planning Engineer, Planning Superintendent, Maintenance Manager and Technical Services Manager before reaching his current position as Plants Operation Manager. During that time, Mr. Al Mansoori has also obtained a Master's degree in Engineering Management from the University of Bahrain. Speaking extensively on both national and international level Bader has brought the company's innovative approach to plant maintenance, technical services and plants operations to the public, and has been regularly recognized for his leadership skills and sound management decisions. Dr. Omar Naser Al Bastaki

Dr. Al Bastaki has had a successful career in the company, starting as a trainee in the Finance Department and working progressively through the ranks to achieve his current two positions; GPIC's Finance & Marketing Manager and Secretary to the Board. He has also committed himself to extensive training and development throughout his working life in order to achieve these advancements. Dr. Al Bastaki consistently added to his foundation of knowledge with multiple training courses to further develop his skills and expertise. Dr. Al Bastaki has also undergone intensive training at shareholding companies, mainly Saudi Basic Industries Company (SABIC) in Saudi Arabia and Petrochemical Industries Company (PIC) in Kuwait. On an educational level, Dr. Al Bastaki obtained a BSc in Accounting from the University of Bahrain, and through his commitment to continuous professional development, he has obtained a Masters of Science in Finance Degree ‘With Distinction', Depaul University, Chicago, Illinois, along with a PhD from Brunel University, London. Dr. Al Bastaki is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and he completed the University of Virginia, Darden School of Economics Executive Management & Leadership Programme. He is also a member of various important bodies, including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA). Dr. Al Bastaki is a Board Member in the Bahrain Institute of Internal Auditors and an Audit Committee Member in the Social Insurance Organisation.

Fadhel Malalla Alansari

Mr. Alansari has had a long and successful career in the industry, starting as a Power Plant Engineer and working progressively through the ranks to achieve his current position as GPIC's Executive Advisor. He has also committed himself to extensive training and development throughout his working life in order to achieve these advancements, beginning with his initial training in Electrical Engineering, for which he obtained a BSc from Kuwait University, and consistently adding to his foundation of knowledge with multitudinal training courses to further develop his skills and expertise. Mr. Alansari has undergone extensive training and development both in Bahrain and overseas, and through this commitment to continuous professional development, he has obtained the University of Virginia, Darden School of Economics Executive Management Programme Diploma and the Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Proficient (PMP) Certification. Mr. Alansari began his career by working as a Power Plant Engineer for 6 years before joining GPIC at the end of 1990. After starting at GPIC, he has progressed his career steadily, beginning as a Shift Supervisor, before swiftly moving to Superintendent level. After this, Mr. Alansari moved to heading up all Plants Operation sections before being appointed as Plants Operation Coordinator reporting directly to the Plants Operation Manager. After 15 years of experience in the operation of GPIC plants, Mr. Al Ansari was appointed as Maintenance Manager in January 2005 and served in that position for three years. In January 2008, he was appointed as Technical Services Manager, then Plants Operation Manager in January 2011. Mr. Alansari was promoted to the position of General Manager Manufacturing in November 2011 and in July 2018 he was appointed as General Manager Corporate Support where he served in this position until he was appointed as Executive Advisor in July 2021. Mr. Alansari in his current role serves as an advisor and mentor to developing Executive management to take over higher positions as well as carrying out special assignements and projects for the company. He is also an active member of various important bodies and committees, including Kingdom of Bahrain representative in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Electrical Interconnection Advisory and Regulatory Committee. In addition, Mr. Alansari is a member of the Strategic Advisory Team of the International Fertilizer Producers Association (IFA) Communications and Public Affairs Committee, and previously served in the Strategic Advisory Team of the Technical Committee of IFA for 12 years where he served as the Convenor of Energy Efficiency Benchmarking for 6 years and the Convenor of Conferences and Training for 6 years. Mr. Alansari is also a life member of the Bahrain Society of Engineers.

Jamal Ali Alshawoosh

Mr. Jamal Ali Mohammed Al Shawoosh is the Technical Services Manager of the Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC). Jamal is a Chemical Engineer with B.S.c degree in Chemical Engineering from University of Bahrain class of 1997 and M.S.c degree in Engineering Management from University of Bahrain class of 2005. He joined GPIC in June 1992, and undergone an extensive training and development both in house and overseas, he has held a number of senior positions in GPIC, including Senior Shift Supervisor and Methanol Superintendent. In July 2018, Jamal was promoted to Safety, Security, Health & Environment Manager. And in March 2023 he was appointed as the Technical Services Manager.

Jehad Ali Khalfan

Mr. Khalfan was accredited with a Certified Management Accountant, CMA by The Institute of Management Accountants, USA in November 2004, with more than thirty years overall experience in finance and insurance that covered various areas including management, financial, strategic planning and insurance responsibilities. Additionally, He also has a Certificate of Business Continuity attained in September 2014 from The Institute of Business Continuity Management, UK. He is a Bachelor of Business Administration class of May 1990 from St. Edward's University at Austin, Texas, USA. Mr. Khalfan had participated in many projects to setup and administer the financial functions, thus necessitating to manage, work within and leading teams effectively. He has attended many Management Leadership and Team building courses from The Darden School of Business, Virginia, USA and The Trust Leadership, London, UK Mr. Khalfan started his career in Gulf Air in 1990 and worked for 15 years in its Finance Department rotating through various sections and leaving Gulf Air on February 2005 as Regional Finance Manager to join Gulf Petrochemical Industries Co.'s Finance Department with the post of Financial Accounting Superintendent, and later in August 2007 made the transition to the post of Management Accounting Superintendent, to be promoted to Finance Manager in February 2018, in July 2018 he has promoted to Finance and Marketing Manager to oversee the full functioning of the financial and marketing activities.

Khalid Yusuf Al Bin Ali

Mr. Khalid AlBinAli is a Chemical Engineer from the University of Bahrain class of 1996. He also holds a M.Sc. (with distinction) in "Integrated Design of Chemical Plants" from Leeds University, United Kingdom which he obtained in October 2001. He established his work career in May 1996 as a Graduate Engineer with Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company. Having undergone extensive training and development both in Bahrain as well as overseas, he has held a number of senior positions in GPIC including Senior Process Engineer, Engineering Superintendent and Technical Services Manager. In July 2018, he assumed the position of Plants Operation Manager. And in March 2023, he assumed the position of Safety, Security, Health & Environment Manager (SSHEM). Mr. AlBinAli, has vast experience with projects studies, management and executions. He has had extensive project experience with the Urea Project in 1998, the Carbon Dioxide Recovery Project in 2009 and Urea Formaldehyde Project in 2019, and various capital projects execution at GPIC. Further, Mr. AlBinAli has held the position of Director for Talent Management in the Project Management Institute, Arabian Gulf Chapter (PMI-AGC) from 2014 to 2017. He was a Board Member and Treasurer of the Gas Processors Association (GPA-GCC Chapter) from 2017 to 2019. Mr. Abdulmunem Alnajjar

Mr. Abdulmunem Alnajjar is a Chemical Engineer graduated from King Abdul-Aziz University - Jeddah Saudi Arabia class of 1992. He established his work career in January 1993 as a Graduate Engineer with Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company. Having undergone extensive training and development both in Bahrain as well as overseas, he has held a number of senior positions in GPIC including Shift Supervisor in both Ammonia & Urea plant, Senior Shift Supervisor, and appointed as first Bahraini Urea Plant Superintendent in 2006, taking charge in acting capacity as Plant Operation Manager from 2011 to 2022. Mr. Jassim Darwish is a Mechanical Engineer with B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida (Gainesville-Florida) class of 1989 and M.Sc. degree in Project Management (Oil & Gas) from University of Liverpool - UK., class of 2013. He established his working career on 11th August 1990 with Gulf Petrochemical Industries Co. (GPIC) as trainee graduate mechanical engineer. Having undergone extensive training and development programs both in Bahrain as well as overseas, he held a number of senior positions in GPIC including Mechanical Supervisor, Turnarounds Area Leader and then promoted to Mechanical Superintendent in Maintenance Department. In 2010, he was promoted to Safety, Security, Health & Environment Manager, and in 2018, he was given the responsibilities in maintenance department as maintenance manager. Mr. Darwish, was involved in the Urea Project from 1996 to 1998. He was full-time involved in the project during the Engineering, Construction and Commissioning stages. He was also selected as one of the core team members in the Carbon Dioxide Recovery Plant Project (CDR) in 2008/9.

Yasser Alabbasi is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Gulf Petrochemicals Industries Company (GPIC). With over thirty-five years of experience in the petrochemical and agri-nutrients industry, Yasser is a veteran of GPIC where he started his career as a Trainee Graduate Electrical Engineer. His extensive experience and industry prowess is showcased through his successful journey at GPIC which has included various leadership positions. From Electrical Supervisor in the Maintenance Department; Training Superintendent; and Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) Manager to senior roles including Technical Services Manager; Plants Operations Manager; and General Manager Manufacturing, before ascending to his present role in October 2021. Beyond GPIC, Yasser is a board member at the International Fertilizer Association (IFA), Gulf Petrochemical & Chemical Association (GPCA), and Arab Fertilizer Association (AFA). In addition, he was also a member of the Supreme Council of Occupational Safety and Health for the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs in Bahrain and served as the Deputy Chairman of the Bahrain Health and Safety Society.
