Since 1599 The GRASSMAYR bell foundry has been casting bells. For over 400 years, the mysterious effect of the sound of bells has shaped Austria's oldest family business. The secret of their bell calculations is carefully guarded, continually expanded through research, and passed on to the next generation. For Grassmayr, tradition means passing on of the "fire" - the deep desire to combine tradition with new technology and thus ensure the continued existence of this special artscraft... The New Year's baby of the city of St. Pölten was welcomed with the sounds of the new carillon consisting of 48 carillon bells.
