Mrs. Denise Elizabeth Kitson was admitted to practice in 1982 and has been the Firm's Managing Partner since 1998. She is also the current Head of the Litigation Department providing extensive and comprehensive experience in representing several local and international corporations in court disputes and has had admirable success in this sphere of practice. She practices mainly in the area of complex commercial litigation and has extensive experience in telecommunications, real estate and construction claims, banking, intellectual property, corporate schemes of arrangement and large debt recovery. She was admitted to the Inner Bar on March 14, 2013. Denise has appeared as Counsel and Co-Counsel in the Supreme Court, the Court of Appeal, and the United Kingdom Privy Council. Some of the more notable cases in which she has appeared are, inter alia, Pfizer Limited v Medimpex Jamaica Limited, NMF Pharmaceuticals Limited and Lasco Distributors Limited [2017] JMSC Civ 162 (Counsel for Pfizer; Judgment presently subject to appeal by the Defendants);Palmer (deceased) v. Notably, Denise also has considerable experience in complex real estate and commercial transactions having represented several local and international clients in this area of practice. She also handles real estate and commercial transactions for several local and international clients. Denise studied at the University of the West Indies where she obtained a Bachelor of Laws Degree (Upper Second Class) in 1980. She then completed her professional qualification by obtaining the Certificate in Legal Education in 1982 from the Norman Manley Law School. She has however since 2002, returned to the Law School, in a part time capacity, to tutor Civil Practice and Procedure. Denise is a member of the Jamaican Bar Association (JBA) and served as a member of its Executive for six years. During five of those years she was the Honourary Secretary. She also continues to serve as a member of the Commercial Law Committee, Legal Reform Committee and Social Affairs Committee of the Association. She has also served as a member of the Advisory Committee to the National Land Agency as the nominee of the JBA. Since 2010, Denise has been appointed as a member of the General Legal Council and chairs its Information Technology sub-committee and the Accreditation Committee.

KEVIN A. WILLIAMS

Furthermore, Kevin has been involved in several land dispute claims in the Supreme Court, some of which were fully litigated to judgment by the Court; others were settled outside of Court. Since September 2010, Kevin has been an Associate Tutor in Civil Procedure at the Norman Manley Law School, Kevin thus assisting in the training of law students. Kevin A. Williams was called to the bar in 1999. He is a graduate of the University of the West Indies and the Norman Manley Law School. He has a depth of experience in civil and commercial litigation before the several Courts of Jamaica. Kevin is a Partner in the Litigation Department specializing in civil and commercial litigation, personal injury matters, judicial review, constitutional matters, debt recovery, labour and employment law. He also practices in areas of commercial and banking law with an emphasis on construction contracts and project financing. Prior to being admitted to partnership in the firm, Kevin served as the Vice President, Legal Affairs, Properties & Compliance of the National Water Commission for seven years. He has been engaged in complex commercial transactions, including in a number of recent banking, construction and project financing transactions including, a US$215 Million construction contract which comprised two (2) sets of syndicated financing packages including major local and overseas lenders, the construction contracts and sub-contracts relative to that project, and the consulting engineering contracts relative to that project; and in addition a US$42.5 Million construction contract and its attendant financing contract with a major multi-lateral lender; a US$12.5 Million refinancing transaction regarding an expiring tranche in a multi-tranche financing, Kevin having initially negotiated and settled the financing contract for the original loan of US$37 Million. Aside from his extensive experience in commercial transactions and banking law, Kevin is a seasoned and experienced Advocate who, prior to his sojourn and the National Water Commission, was an Associate at the firm for approximately 7 years, where he appeared as Junior Counsel in several landmark decisions, as well as other decisions of both Courts,. RACHEL E. KITSON

Regina is an Associate of the firm being called to the Jamaican bar in December 2016. She is a graduate of the University of the West Indies, Mona where she read for her Bachelor of Laws Degree. She graduated the Norman Manley Law School in September 2016 where was awarded the Andrea Gabrielle Lloyd Memorial Prize for student involvement in co- curricular activities and interest in the Law School. Russell Cooper

Russell Cooper joined the Firm as an Associate in September 2021. He obtained his Bachelor of Laws Degree with honours from the University of the West Indies, Mona in 2017, after which he successfully received his Certificate of Legal education from the Norman Manley Law school in 2019. He was called to the Jamaican Bar in January 2020 and is currently a part of the Firm's Litigation Department. His areas of interest include Civil and Commercial Litigation, Technology, Intellectual Property and Company Law. His main areas of practice areas currently include Civil and Commercial Litigation and Conveyancing. Prior to joining the firm Russell worked within the Legal Department as a Corporate Administrator and an assistant to the Company Secretary at one of Jamaica's largest conglomerates. S. Arturo Stewart was admitted to practice in 1973 having read for a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics at the University of the West Indies and successfully completed the Solicitor's Qualifying Examinations (Parts 1 & 2) of the College of Law, England. Arturo's practice centres on commercial transactions, acquisitions, securitization and real estate transactions, patent and trademark registrations and he is the Head of the Corporate and Commercial Department. Arturo's clientele ranges from individuals to large multinationals. Arturo is a former member of the Jamaica Defence Force Reserves, having served in the Air Wing. He is also a Distinguished Past President, Kiwanis Club, Kingston, and has served as director on various corporate boards such as, inter alia, the Civil Aviation Authority, as Deputy Chairman; and the Aeronautical Telecommunications Limited where he was Chairman. Arturo is a member of the Jamaican Bar Association and also a member of its Conveyancing and Intellectual Property Committees.
