Kathrine Hatch is the Assistant Operations Manager at Grassi Investment Management, LLC. She is responsible for data research, portfolio administration and client support. She previously held the position of Office Manager at GIM and was responsible for the company's daily office operations, preparation and distribution of marketing materials to clients, and general bookkeeping. Kathrine comes to Grassi Investment Management after working as an Executive Administrative Assistant for the CIO in the Information Services department at Washington Hospital in Fremont, California, In this position, she was responsible for purchase orders, budget spreadsheets and daily office operations. She has 15 years of experience working in accounting and administrative roles supporting staff and office environments. Kathrine studied Communications and Public Relations at Montana State University in Billings, Montana, before moving to California to be closer to family. In her off time Kathrine enjoys riding her horses, spending time with her family and enjoying the outdoors.
Katie Leung is the Operations Manager at Grassi Investment Management, LLC. for the past 8 years. She is responsible for data research, portfolio administration and client support. Prior to this position, Katie was an Accounting Assistant at Cupertino Square, a 1.3 million square feet shopping center in the South Bay. She has three years of experience in the retail management and specialized in accounting and property management systems and daily office administrations. Katie graduated from the University of California, Davis with a B.S. in Managerial Economics and a minor in Japanese. After graduation, she received a Certificate of Japanese Language Proficiency administrated by the Japanese Educational Exchange and Services. She can also speak Mandarin and Cantonese fluently.
Peter E. Grassi is the Managing Partner of Grassi Investment Management, LLC. He is a portfolio manager for a wide range of institutional and high net-worth individual clients, with over 35 years of investment management experience. Peter began his investment career at Davis, Skaggs and Company in 1981 where he served as Vice President. He was then with Smith Barney and its predecessor companies from 1983 to 2000 as a Senior Vice President. Peter was a Portfolio Manager for Grassi Investment Management, from October 1997 through March 2000. Peter was born in San Francisco and is a lifetime San Francisco Bay Area resident. He attended the University of California at Berkeley where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics. Peter lives with his wife Paula and their daughter in Saratoga, where they are active in community activities and charities.
Peter T. Grassi is a Partner of Grassi Investment Management, LLC. Mr. Grassi's investment management career spans over 45 years, beginning at Davis, Skaggs and Company in 1970, where he served as Senior Vice President and Director. When Shearson/American Express acquired Davis, Skaggs and Company in 1983, Mr. Grassi continued in his role as Senior Vice President. Grassi Investment Management (GIM), a wholly owned subsidiary of Shearson/American Express, was then formed in 1984. In March of 2000 GIM became Grassi Investment Management, LLC, an independent advisory company, serving both institutions and high net-worth individuals. Mr. Grassi was born in San Francisco and is a lifetime San Francisco Bay Area resident. He attended the University of California at Berkeley. He and his wife, Carol, have been married for 62 years and have three children and five grandchildren.
