Alice Michel

Alice is a global citizen who is passionate about traveling, sustainability, marketing and social media. Alice has lived in New York, Paris and Washington DC, working for brands such as Orange Telecommunications, Coca-Cola, Rainforest Alliance, The Ritz-Carlton and Georgetown Optician. Everywhere she has worked, Alice has quickly established herself as the go-to authority on any matters regarding social media. At Green Team Global, Alice has supervised social media campaigns for a number of clients, including the Guyana Tourism Authority (in conjunction with our local partners), the Victoria Falls Tourism Association (Africa), Georgia (the country), and PROMPERU, the national tourism office of Peru for whom Alice is also deeply involved in content generation. Alice has been a key member of the Green Team Global crisis management team throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, helping several clients develop social media campaigns that were perfectly aligned with rapidly developing strategies. Alice is inspired by good food, good design, and good wine. She is not at all obsessed with her cat.

Diego Jimenez

Diego has strong experience in brand identity design, print layout and editorial design, packaging, product photography and art direction, primarily in social media and digital channels. After graduating from the University of Monterrey (UDEM). NL, México, Diego started his professional career in a graphic design studio in México, Anagrama (Anagrama.com). Afterward, Diego moved to Washington, DC to work for Design Army (DesignArmy.com) as a graphic designer, photographer and retouch artist. Diego has extensive experience in brand identity design, print layout and editorial design, packaging, product photography and art direction, primarily in social media and digital channels. During his tenure at Green Team Global, Diego has designed numerous websites and digital banners for campaigns that include One Epic Trek; The Trek Less Traveled; Guyana in Living Color and more. In addition to his skills, Diego has a deep passion for helping brands tell their stories through functional aesthetics. He believes in beauty as a purpose and inspiration to originate the functionality concerning any design piece and to meet its objectives.

Eileen Gutierrez

Eileen is a sustainable tourism development specialist with over 18 years of experience managing tourism programs for USAID's Global Sustainable Tourism Alliance and Conservation International. From strengthening visitor management in Ecuador's national parks to developing community-owned safari lodges in Botswana or curating cultural heritage experiences in the country of Georgia, Eileen's success lies in her creativity and ability to coordinate with a wide range of stakeholders on tourism planning and development. Eileen has worked throughout Africa, Asia, Euraisa and Latin America, and authored Linking Tourism, Conservation and Communities: A Tourism Assessment Process. She holds a Masters of Tourism Administration from George Washington University, and has instructed George Washington University and UNWTO's course on sustainable tourism.

Elene Bukhaidze

It's only fitting that our representative in Georgia, the birthplace of wine, is deeply engaged in wine tourism. Ellie is a co-founder and chairwoman of the Wine Tourism Association, and is actively involved in the development of the wine tourism sector, one of the most prosperous and quickly developing industries in Georgia. Whenever we sit down at a restaurant table, we just hand her the wine list and get out of the way.

Hank Stewart

Over the course of three decades, Hank has built a career as award-winning copywriter, creative director and brand strategist at numerous New York ad agencies. His client experience includes: Coca-Cola, Diageo, Johnson & Johnson, Conservation International, National Geographic, WWF and more. He has developed branding and marketing campaigns for tourism destinations that include Chile; Dominica; Georgia, Guyana, Ecuador; Monaco; Peru; VisitBritain and VisitScotland. During the COVID-19 crisis, Hank helped the national tourism offices of Georgia, Guyana and Peru reshape their messaging to make it more relevant to the crisis, and position them for success once the pandemic is over. Hank is an award-winning beer writer, stand-up comic, former volunteer firefighter and father of two.

Hugh Hough - Founder, President

Hugh is the President and Founder of Green Team Global. Hugh comfortably straddles the worlds of destination marketing, multinational corporations, international Non-Government Organization (NGOs), and all aspects of the sustainability movement. He has helped develop campaigns for clients that include LATAM Airlines, Estée Lauder Company, Peru, Guyana, Georgia (the country), Victoria Falls, Rainforest Alliance and International Rhino Foundation. Hugh is a sought-after speaker on the topics of sustainable tourism, "green" marketing, corporate social responsibility and global consumer trends. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Hugh was instrumental in helping several tourism destinations navigate through unprecedented times, and maintain--or even strengthen--their brand relevance with their target audiences. In his spare time, Hugh can be found reading, tending to his garden and enjoying a glass of wine or craft beer.

Hyeona Kim

She's of Korean ancestry, but Hyeona grew up in Malaysia (though she can't speak a word of Malay). She joined Green Team Global in 2017, and balances her professional duties with academic ones, as she is presently studying Advertising and Design at New York's School of Visual Arts. While Heyona is fully versed in the digital world, her true passion is decidedly more analogue-guerilla advertising. On many occasions, she has taken to the streets of New York to engage unsuspecting pedestrians in one of her social commentary, artistic or commercial campaigns. Most recently, she created campaigns centered around Halloween and the Women's March. She is an avid lover of dogs and Netflix.

Nubia Zagami - CFO

Before coming to Green Team, Nubia was one of the top financial officers at American Express, where she worked for ten years. Thing is, that was in Caracas, Venezuela, and when she and her young family moved to the US in 1993, she didn't speak a word of English. Nubia spent the next few years raising her young children and learning the language. Now the kids are out of school, Nubia is fluent in English and we've got a financial heavy looking after us. When not crunching our numbers, Nubia likes to don her running shoes, play with her dogs and travel. She regularly indulges her love of books, movies, restaurants and music.

Suzanne Kerba

Suzanne brings people, ideas, and inspiration together to help make the world a better place. She has led risk and crisis communications projects for some of the world's foremost public health agencies, including the World Health Organization (WHO), the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE), and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control. Suzanne is a passionate advocate of One Health - an approach to disease prevention and management that recognizes and honors the interconnectedness of the health of humans, animals, and the environment. She has led the development of One Health risk communication materials and plans for the 15 countries of the Economic Community of West African States and the five countries of the East African Community on behalf of the European Union and the government of Germany. She is a trainer for the WHO Emergency Risk Communication Package, which helps ministries of health around the world develop effective risk communication plans and strategies. Suzanne is also the author of two children's books about COVID-19 prevention, which have been translated into French, Swahili, and local languages throughout Africa. She has surfed throughout Central America, seen Pushkin's profile in the mountains of Kazakhstan, and stalked (and found!)the elusive Shoebill Crane in Uganda.

T. Jennifer Edwards

Jennifer has worked across the CARICOM Caribbean advising and supporting the efforts of regional agencies, national governments and the private sector in the area of policy, planning and strategy development. This includes efforts related to Climate Change and Risk Resilience Strategies; ClusterDevelopment and Planning; Institutional Strengthening and Change Management; Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises; Investment Promotion and more. Working in Caribbean development, Jennifer been involved with a range of development agencies on programs such as those of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB); theWorld Bank (WB); the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB); the Commonwealth Secretariat; the CARICOM Secretariat and others. With the impact of COVID-19, Jennifer has been called on by the CARICOM WorkingGroup to utilise her expertise and over 25 years of experience to lead in outlining core guidelines for the safe resumption of business operations in key tourism sub-sectors. Jennifer continues to support national governments in their COVID-19 recovery and further development efforts and is a firm advocate for re-thinking strategies for economy recovery, job creation, and the continued development of the Caribbean region.
