GROUND ONE - Key Persons
Angie grew up in the rolling hills of NE Iowa, ripe with farmland and small towns. Her appreciation for diverse landscapes came when she toured the United States while in the landscape architecture program at Iowa State University. She's utilized her diverse degree in landscape architecture in the private, public and nonprofit sectors.
Angie enjoys the point where problem-solving and creativity combine in the landscape design process. She has a passion for native plants and enjoys introducing people to native plants and the benefits they offer.
Craig has a BS in Landscape Design from South Dakota State University and has practiced landscape design, sales and installation since 1993. Growing up in a small town in South Dakota, he worked for local farmers in the area providing him a solid work ethic. His appreciation for the outdoors and nature lead him to serve his local community as a member of the Citizens Advisory Council for Nine Mile Creek Watershed District. Living in Bloomington, Craig loves spending time with his family and remains very active in his community.
Over the years Craig has served his industry as a committee member in the Minnesota Nursery & Landscape Association (MNLA) and has achieved the title of Certified Professional. He has also, more recently, served as the President of the local chapter of the Association of Professional Landscape Designers (APLD). For the past 14 years Craig has been serving his clients with his own landscape company Terra Forma Design. He has now joined the team at Ground One Landscape Design + Build to provide an enhanced client experience from start to finish. Craig takes pride in listening carefully to his clients and providing solutions that effectively and creatively address their needs and desires.
Jack has a background in multiple areas with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Design Tech & Entrepreneurship from Illinois Wesleyan University. His previous involvement in landscaping started with the work he did helping his father in their yard. Being new to the professional world of landscaping, he started with Ground One gaining experience from working as an installer. In his role as Design Assistant, Jack strives to aid in the collaborative process with our Landscape designers as well as develop stunning realistic 2D/3D designs for a visual experience the client will not forget.
Outside the office, he enjoys spending his time hitting local golf courses with buddies, spending time at the family cabin with his dog, and coaching an elite youth travel lacrosse team.
Kevin has been serving the upper Midwest landscape industry for the past 25 years.
He graduated from DCTC with an A.A.S. degree in Landscape Horticulture in 2000. Kevin has gained valuable knowledge working as an Installer, Foreman, Project Manager and Operations Manager. Kevin has a passion for making a landscape vision become reality and has a strong commitment to exceptional results.
Outside of work Kevin enjoys road trips with the family, weekends at the cabin and working on the backyard vegetable garden.
Pat began his landscaping career mowing lawns at age ten and has been self-employed ever since. With a degree in Speech Communications from the University of St. Thomas and passion for landscape, Pat founded Ground One in 1989. Under Pat's capable leadership Ground One has become an industry-leading, award-winning, full service landscape design + build company.
Growing up as an Eagle Scout, Pat was taught to always leave things in better condition than they were found. Landscaping has provided him the creative outlet to do just that. He is an advocate for his clients, and appreciates that he is entrusted to better their lives and their properties. He values these relationships and fosters a collaborative effort in each of his projects.
Robert holds a Dual Bachelor's Degree, Bachelor of Landscape Architecture and Environmental Design, from North Dakota State University. He brings with him over a decade of experience working in Landscape Construction, Design Support, and Design Sales. A diverse background in the landscape industry has provided a strong foundation to grow and analyze the Design-Build process. At Ground One, Robert specializes in creating 2D/3D graphics to maximize efficiency and ensure that each customer has an exceptional experience throughout the entire design process.
In the spirit of maintaining balance in life, Robert finds great joy in spending time with his family and friends. Whether it be exploring the outdoors with their RV or spending the day at the lake, he always finds some well-deserved rest and relaxation to further inspire unique and sophisticated designs.
Ryan was born and raised in Minnesota, graduated from Burnsville High School, and went on to the University of Minnesota Duluth where he studied Business Management. Ryan brings a scope of knowledge from the Construction Management, Concrete Manufacturing, and Landscape Materials industries with 30 years of experience. He spent 15 of these years in the California market managing concrete manufacturers Business Development, Marketing, Advertising, and Sales programs.
Ryan enjoys working on projects at the lake or around the house with his teenage daughter. His hobbies include playing guitar and spending time at the cabin with his family.
Ryan's role as General Manager is an addition to the Ground One Landscape team, tailored towards improving business best practices and overall growth.
