JAMES A. GOODHUE, a partner, joined the firm in 1988. His practice is concentrated in civil litigation, including personal injury, estate planning and probate administration, business law, municipal law, and real estate law, both residential and commercial, including purchase and sale, leasing, landlord-tenant and zoning matters. Mr. Goodhue has extensive trial and appellate experience in both state and federal court. He was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in 1985, the U. S. District Court (Massachusetts) in 1986, and the U. S. Court of Appeals (First Circuit) in 2001. He is rated AV (highest rating) by Martindale-Hubbell, and is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association. Mr. Goodhue was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, and is a long time resident of Wellesley. He is a graduate of Northfield Mount Hermon School, and received a B.A. in Government from St. Lawrence University in 1982. He received his J.D., cum laude, from Suffolk University Law School in 1985. A former Commodore of the Wild Harbor Yacht Club in North Falmouth, his hobbies and interests include sailing, woodworking, alpine skiing, tennis and cycling.

STEVEN HALE GRINDLE was born in Boston, Massachusetts where he and his wife now live after spending 28 years raising their two daughters in Wellesley, Massachusetts. He was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in 1970. Mr. Grindle received his B.A. from Brown University in 1964 and his J.D. from Boston College Law School in 1967. He entered and served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Dominican Republic from 1967 through 1969. Upon his return from Peace Corps he joined Legal Service for Cape Cod & Islands for the period 1970-1972 where he assisted low income individuals and their families with housing and entitlements. He has been in private practice in Wellesley since 1972. While at Boston College Law School he was invited to be a member and an editor of the Boston College Industrial & Commercial Law Review based on his high academic performance. His practice has evolved over the years to concentrate primarily in family law and estate planning. He was elected by his peers as a Family Law Super Lawyer in 2006 and each year since. Mr. Grindle is a member of the Boston Bar Association and has been AV rated by Martindale Hubbell for many years.
