Practice Areas: Environmental Health & Safety Biography Jack Welsch is an attorney and Certified Professional Environmental Auditor (CPEA). He has 20 years of experience working with environmental, health, and safety issues in both the private and public sectors. He has participated in and led EHS audit teams in a wide variety of industries including: chemicals manufacturing, food processing, electronics assembly, consumer products, administrative offices and others. Jack has had considerable international experience. In addition to living and working in Belgium for two years, he has been involved in audit projects in Brazil, Canada, Chile, Egypt, Germany, India, Kenya, and Russia. Prior to joining Goldenberg Schneider, Mr. Welsch managed the Washington, DC office of Enhesa, leading its auditing and environmental consulting practice in North America. He has also served as an Enforcement Specialist with the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality and as EHS Regulatory Counsel for Stateside Associates. Mr. Welsch holds a Juris Doctor and Masters Degree in Environmental Law from Vermont Law School and a BS in Environmental Biology from Ohio University. Sam Schneider

Practice Areas: Environmental Health & Safety Biography Sam has performed many EHS audits in several of the U.S. states and is developing his skills as a well-rounded regulatory EHS auditor. At the same time, he is also developing a strong expertise in performing lockout, guarding, confined space, fall protection surveys, noise monitoring, industrial hygiene monitoring and in developing related and necessary corrective actions to address the gaps he finds in these programs. He has performed gap analyses for clients in the auto parts manufacturing, battery production, utilities, food and beverage, recycling and disposal facilities, and other heavy manufacturing industries. He has an added advantage in that he possesses in-plant / field experience as a pipe welder providing him with insight into how maintenance and manufacturing functions interact and how to get the best out of both. Sam has developed health & safety facility-specific compliance programs and procedures for several clients in the following regulatory areas: the control of hazardous energy / lockout tagout, fall protection, hazard communication, machine guarding, emergency response, and confined space entry. He has also delivered new employee orientation training, performed hazardous waste accumulation area and SPCC inspections, and documented air pollution control equipment and emergency generator monitoring data and opacity readings. Sam's education, technical and professional EHS background provides a significant advantage toward improving manufacturing plant compliance and protecting clients against enforcement actions. Sam is an Eagle Scout and holds TIG and arc welding certifications for pipe and structural steel welding.
