- Brittany Dabbs Nurse Practitioner
Brittany is a Family Nurse Practitioner. She is from Greensboro and graduated from Southwest Guilford High School. Brittany received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from UNC-G and her Masters in Nursing as a Nurse Practitioner from UNC-CH. She is married and has a golden retriever, Bentley, with whom she spends a lot of time walking and playing. Brittany also likes to travel and enjoys cooking. Brittany joined the practice in 2012. She has a special fondness for her patients and likes the family atmosphere at Guilford Medical.
A Boston native, Dr. Paterson graduated from Boston University and completed medical school at George Washington University. Following residency in Internal Medicine at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, he served in the army for 10 years, achieving the rank of major. Dr. Paterson joined Guilford Medical in 1998. He previously served as a medical director at Moses Cone Extended Care and currently serves as medical director for Clapps Nursing Center.
Dr. Paterson is married and has three children. He enjoys baseball, tennis and tae kwon do, where he has achieved second degree black belt status.
Dr. Skakle graduated from DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2016 and completed his internal medicine residency at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. He has an athletic background, having competed in collegiate soccer. He enjoys spending time with his family and staying active. He has a patient-centered and evidence-based approach and places an emphasis on listening. Dr. Skakle is now accepting new, adult, primary care patients.
Dr. Russo is a native of Long Island, New York. He graduated from the University of New York at Albany and received his MD from the University of New York Health Science Center at Syracuse School of Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine Internship and Residency at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Immediately prior to joining Guilford Medical in 2002, he was a hospitalist for the Inpatient Physicians of Forsyth Memorial Hospital in Winston-Salem. He is a Certified Clinical Densitometrist.
Dr. Russo is married and has two children. He enjoys tennis and travel.
Dr. Wile graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in 2003 and completed her internal medicine residency at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Her former practices include, Forsyth Internal Medicine in Winston-Salem and Heritage Medical Associates, Nashville, TN. Dr. Wile is accepting new, adult, primary care patients by appointment.

A graduate of Duke University, Dr. Aronson is originally from Boston. He received his medical degree from Bowman Gray School of Medicine and went on to the University of Florida in Gainesville for residency in internal medicine. He joined Guilford Medical Associates in 1990 where he continues to practice internal medicine for the Greensboro community. He is the medical director of Care Coordination for the Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist hospital system. He has served as a quality consultant for post-acute skilled nursing facilities throughout the state. Dr. Aronson is married and has three children.
A Chicago native, Dr. Tisovec graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He completed medical school at the University of Illinois College of Medicine
Dr. Scott Holwerda received his undergraduate training at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. He then returned to Georgia to attend Mercer University School of Medicine in Savannah. He completed his Internal Medicine Internship and Residency at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. He and his wife enjoy travel, college football and spending time with their son and twin daughters.
A Vermont native, Dr. South moved to North Carolina with his parents in 1973. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and from the Bowman Gray School of Medicine at Wake Forest University.
Dr. Shaw was born and raised in Greensboro and graduated from Page High School. He received his BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his MD from Wake Forest University School of Medicine. He completed an Internal Medicine Internship and Residency at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, where he was also Assistant Chief of Medicine, Instructor of Internal Medicine. Dr. Shaw joined Guilford Medical in 2005. Dr. Shaw serves on several committees for Triad Healthcare Network.
Dr. Shaw is our Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) Physician Team Lead. He works closely with our Quality Department and our GMA team to set the tone for how the practice will function as a medical home and to ensure Guilford Medical Associates has clinical and operational support and resources needed in order to implement and maintain our PCMH model.
Dr. Shaw is married and has 3 children. He enjoys coaching his kids' soccer teams and spending time at the lake with his family.
Katie received an Associates Degree in Nursing from Guilford Technical Community College followed by a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and DNP from the University of North Carolina Greensboro. She has been working in healthcare since 2008 having been last employed by Moses Cone Hospital as a full-time RN working in the ICU. Katie joined the practice in May of 2019.
Lindsay received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from UNC-G and her Masters of Science in Nursing - Family Nurse Practitioner Concentration from UNC-Wilmington. She has gained extensive experience working as an RN in several local and regional hospitals and medical centers since 2002. Lindsay joined the practice in July 2018.
A Greensboro native, Dr. Perini graduated from Greensboro Grimsley High School in 1990. He also graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the Wake Forest University School of Medicine.

A Greensboro native, Dr. Avva graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Duke University School of Medicine.
Stephanie first began working at Guilford Medical Associates during her clinical rotation through the Nurse Practitioner program at UNCG. After graduating in December of 2015 with a Masters in Adult Gerontological Nursing, Stephanie joined GMA full-time.

Sue is a Family Nurse Practitioner who has been with Guilford Medical since 2010. She brings many years of nursing and nurse practitioner experience to the practice. Originally from Trinity, Sue received her Bachelor of Science and Masters in Nursing from UNCG then completed the Nurse Practitioner program at the University of South Carolina at Columbia. She is married with an adult daughter. Sue has traveled on medical mission trips with her church and is an active member of the Greensboro Symphony Guild.
