Allen Hadaway grew up in the oil and gas business. His father, William Hadaway, was an independent geologist for most of his career, and Allen spent many summers and weekends with his father on drilling rigs.
Jay Parnell joined Hadaway Consulting and Engineering in Oct 2024 as an Operations Engineer, where he currently engineers and supervises drilling, completions, workovers and production.
Jay grew up in Canadian on the family cattle ranch before earning his Bachelors of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from Texas Tech University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. Jay then embarked on a 17 year career with Chevron Corporation, first working the vast number of fields in the San Joaquin Valley of California, then moving on to spend 8 years seconded to Tengizchevroil in western Kazakhstan. His last assignment with Chevron, before moving back home, was working offshore operations in Angola, where Jay began as the Well Intervention Advisor before being promoted to Superintendent. His professional specialties include heavy oil/cyclic steam operations, sour gas environments, and complex Well Intervention operations. Jay is also a Subject Matter Expert in CHCD (Closed Hole Circulation Drilling) and NCD (Nitrogen Cap Drilling).
