HATHI

The founder of the group Mr. Tulsidas Hathi ventured into business of burnt coal ash in 1965. The business was in form of long term contracts with major Thermal power plants in Gujarat such as GEB porbandar, sikka, amdavad, surat, etc. along with a few partners. Eventually major heavy industries installed their own power plants, such as GHCL- sutrapada, Saurashtra chemicals-porbandar, Tata chemicals- mithapur, DCW- dhangadra, etc. and T. Hathi group had long term contracts to buy all the burnt coal out the consumption of steam coal in respective thermal power plants.
