David is responsible for the overall vision and strategy for HBD, which is supported by his passion for building high performing, service-oriented teams focused on transforming healthcare for our country.
In his role as CEO of Health By Design and EVP at Medici, David brings 20+ years of leadership experience across multiple industries. David is responsible for the overall vision and strategy for HBD, which is supported by his passion for building high performing, service-oriented teams focused on transforming healthcare for our country. David is dedicated to the next generation of healthcare delivery that will exceed patients' expectations.
Before joining HBD, David was responsible for operations at Intuitive Health which scaled hospital partnerships across the country. Under David's direction, Intuitive Health's facilities became the most referred to immediate care locations in their communities. Patient volume grew by over 10x during his tenure, and the company is now recognized as a national leader in immediate care services.
Prior to Intuitive, David's career includes experience in operations and multi-site development at DaVita, where he led one of the fastest growing divisions in the country, as well as strategic acquisitions and investing at Morgan Stanley in New York City and Resilience Capital Partners, a leader in turnaround private equity in the Midwest.
David holds a B.S. in Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point, and a M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. He also served six years on active-duty as an Infantry officer, deploying to the Middle East and the Balkans.
David lives in Austin with his wife and three sons and serves multiple not-for-profit organizations in the area.

Melissa is responsible for stewarding personal and professional growth and development for clinical care teams at HBD.
Dr. Masozera is responsible for leading our medical teams as they strive to produce high quality, high value, and safe care to our patients.
Dr. Masozera is a board-certified internist with a passion for Preventative Care. He has been working with the Veterans Health Administration for the last 22 years and is honored to have taken care of America's finest. Dr. Masozera started out at the Michael DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston, Texas, where he worked for 17 years. For the last five years, he worked at the Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System in Pensacola, Florida, where he served as the Deputy Chief of Staff. Dr. Masozera completed his residency in Internal Medicine at The University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, Texas, and completed his medical training at Makerere University Medical School in Kampala, Uganda. He also holds a Master's degree in Public Health from Columbia University in New York.
