Dan Hood

Dan served as an officer in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers from 1971-1976. Daniel is a licensed General Contractor in NC, SC, and TN. He is also a licensed Professional Engineer in NC and TX. He is a Certified Professional Constructor with the American Institute of Constructors, and a LEED AP. He is a member of the following organizations: Construction Professionals Network of NC, Society of Military Engineers (SAME), American Institute of Constructors (AIC), Construction Management Association of America (CMAA), and the North Carolina Building Performance Association (NCBPA). Daniel served as an officer in the U.S. Army from 2002 -2010. He achieved the rank of Captain and served overseas in 2004-2005 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He also served in the Federal Republic of Germany from 2002-2005 with a short deployment to Bosnia in 2003. His other duty assignments include Ft. Bragg, NC, Ft. Leonard-Wood Missouri, and Ft. Sam-Houston, TX. VAMC's and National Cemeteries (VISN 17 & 18), Central and West TX, NM and AZ: Daniel served as project manager for the design build Advanced Metering Project involving multiple buildings on various VA campuses. Scope of work consisted of locating, designing, and installing mechanical meters on steam, chilled water, potable water, fuel oil and natural gas piping at each of the Medical Centers and National Cemeteries. The new meters designed and installed for this project enable the VA to accurately monitor utility usage in individual buildings. The information is being transmitted to a national central database managed by the VA National Energy Business Center in Ohio. At completion, over 100 individual meters were installed at VA Medical Centers and National Cemeteries. Detailed application design and construction drawings were prepared for Owner review prior to assembly of meters, and subsequent installation. The project required mechanical design, expertise in advance metering technology, electrical and mechanical subcontracting, in-depth project controls and management, and system startup and training.

Daniel K. Hood joined HICAPS, Inc. in 2008 after completing 6 years in the active US Army and initially performing Army Reserve duties for his first 2 years at HICAPS. Mr. Hood currently serves the company as Vice President and Principal Officer.

Peyton S. Fairbank - VP

Peyton S. Fairbank joined HICAPS, Inc. in 1997 after serving seven years in the US Army. Mr. Fairbank currently serves the company as Vice President and Principal Officer. In this capacity, Peyton provides overall direction and guidance of corporate activities to maximize growth and profitability while leading several internal divisions. He is responsible shaping and developing corporate strategy and for ensuring departmental and organizational objectives and operating requirements are met and in line with the corporate mission. Peyton is a licensed General Contractor in NC and SC. He is also a licensed Construction Manager in the state of South Carolina. He is a member of the following organizations: Construction Professionals Network of NC, Carolinas Associated General Contractors (CAGC), Associated Builders & Contractors (ABC), Society of Military Engineers (SAME), and United States Green Building Counsel (USGBC) Peyton served as an officer in the U.S. Army from 1990 -1997. He achieved the rank of Captain and served overseas in 1991 in support of Operation Desert Storm. He also served in the Republic of Korea from 1993-1994. His other duty assignments include Ft. Bragg, NC, Ft. Bliss, TX, Ft. Lewis, WA and Ft. Leavenworth, KS.

Robert "Wayne" McGee - Founder, VP

Wayne McGee is Co-Founder and Vice President of HICAPS, Inc., a multi-faceted Services and Construction Management firm specializing in Construction Management, Telecommunications solutions for Public Safety and Building Diagnostics. As Vice President, Wayne devises strategies and formulates policies to ensure that HICAPS' goals and objectives are met and exceeded. Wayne is dedicated to the development of long term customer relationships which has helped HICAPS flourish and brought unprecedented growth over the past 25 years. Maintaining, growing and nurturing customer relationships and innovating new strategies and solutions has been a winning formula and one that will be continued well into the future. As Vice President, Wayne leads the HICAPS Public Safety Telecommunications Team. This team focuses on delivering tailored program management, RF engineering and construction solutions to major communications providers, vendors and end-user agencies. Wayne directs the marketing, sales and consultation efforts for the development and implementation of highly technical, multi-faceted telecommunications system integration projects. Wayne is a licensed General Contractor in NC and SC.
